Found these guys doing a Google search and saw a lot of positive reviews. A lot of people spoke to their honesty and I have to just cosign and say that's exactly the type of business and professionalism. I was greeted with someone stole the catalytic converter off of my son's car and these guys were an absolute gem to work with got the work done same day and I believe got a fair and honest price would happily use them anytime if ever needed again read more

I recently brought my F250 in for some exhaust work. They did a horrible job. They used to be good when the other welder used to work there. They took off heavy duty exhaust hanger and tried to weld their cheap hanger on only to fail in less than a week. I went to back and told them what happened, and the bearded owner said that's not one of mine. I showed him the receipt, and he backtracked, only to try to weld on the exact same hanger that failed from a week before. Their prices are high compared to other shops, but they used to do quality work and it was worth it, but not anymore. read more

I took two vehicles to Exhaust Authority and they both turned out great. The Cadillac had a rusted center muffler that was coming apart and I asked them if they could weeks in a straight pipe instead. They agreed and welded together a professional, clean looking y-pipe to replace it. The other vehicle was a 1951 Bentley that needed some welding done to the rear axle perches. Lickety split, they zapped it and it was ready to go. I appreciate their communication, their speed and the pricing. They also offer normal automotive repair work, not just exhaust and welding. Thanks! read more

Had my vehicle checked out by TOMMY, due to a check engine light alert. Tommy informed me of the situation with my vehicle. My tundra had all 4 catalytic converters stolen. Called the shop and Tommy answered. I had the truck there in 20 minutes and the full job completed quickly and professionally. I called 3 other shops and they all tried telling me I needed specific oem cats and if I had anything else installed they wouldn't work. Well that was a bullshit lie and these guys were here to help 100 percent. So thanks guys for all the help and getting my beat back up and running ! read more

FIVE STARS! It's more than a muffler shop! This place was recommended to me by a friend at work. I had a wheel bearing issue. I researched Brakes Plus but the reviews were horrible. I also didn't like their estimate. I love Christian Brothers, but their estimate was $750. (It was a rough estimate without really looking into the problem). Going off of my friend's recommendation, I stopped by Exhaust Authority. I was told to ask for Jay. You can't miss Jay! Jay is a big butyl dude with a long beard. He looks like he owns every season of Duck Dynasty and has three Harley Davidson choppers in the back of his shop. He's a real straight-shooter with a sense of humor. I was asking about his schedule for the following week and he responds with, "Well I don't know. My crystal ball is in the shop." While he was looking at my car, I was talking to a young lady at the shop who was still in high school. She told me that he was teaching her more about cars than she was learning at school. This was more confirmation that I was at the right place. After looking at my car, he gives me his diagnosis with a series of F-bombs. I knew that I liked him already. He was very honest with me about the fact that I only had to replace the wheel bearing one side of my car. He didn't try to up-sell me on "special" parts. I was in and out in about an hour. Final price was $270 and my car drives like the first day I bought it. Jay is very honest, very reliable, and a great guy. The work was done correctly the first time and the price was fair. I'll continue to bring my car to him. read more

Repairing exhaust manifolds on a 32-year old truck with 281,000 miles is not for the faint of heart. Tommy and Jay showed no fear and demonstrated "old school" craftmanship while removing two broken bolts (one actually countersunk) and getting these old manifolds to seal like new again. Quick turnaround and very reasonable pricing. In addition, Tommy put his welding skills on display while repairing a troublesome bung on the passenger side manifold. Great first experience with Exhaust Authority for me! read more

I walked in with a small welding job. Needed the O2 sensor bung welded back on. The gentleman who greeted me walked it out to the shop and hit it with the MIG welder, and I was out the door in a flash. I used to come here for exhaust work when it was AAA muffler. I will keep coming back. read more

I called in with a few questions on a mid muffler delete for my Dodge Charger RT and he gave me very informative answers. I told him I was 20 minutes away from the shop and that I wanted it done after he gave me a pretty fair price. I arrived at the shop and I was waited immediately. Took him all of 20 minutes and he did an amazing job. He even saw me recording when he was pulling off the lift and gave me a very nice demonstration of my new exhaust job . Highly recommend and I will be back for more work ! Thank you guys read more

My son's 1994 Jeep Wrangler's muffler rotted out and made the car one big echo chamber. I called the muffler shop my regular AutoShop recommended but neither location would answer their phone. So, I found Exhaust Authority and saw their reviews. The guys were straight shooters and gave me a quote. Brought the Jeep in and Tommy got it out the same day and the final bill was $20 less than the quote. As for the work on the Jeep, the ride is much more comfortable and sounds great--i didn't realize this is what its supposed to sound like. I would recommend these guys to my friends and family. read more

Was looking to get my rear exhaust updated on my 16 charger rt. Went to a few shops then a Facebook group told me about this place. Went there and talked with Tommy. Told him what I wanted and what I was looking for exhaust tip wise. They have a great selection of tips here. Ordered the tips I wanted made an appointment and was in an out in 35 min. Would say if you need to update or upgrade your exhaust this is the place. Thanks again tommy!!! read more

I took my '17 Silverado over this morning and Tommy installed a GM Borla Touring catback system on it. Took my mellow sounding 2015 BMW X5 to this place. I was waited on right away by a nice guy, Jay. He directed me to Tommy. After some discussion, and a couple of days to get parts, Tommy designed and hand built a custom exhaust that is a thing of beauty to the eyes and ears! It has a deep tone without any annoying frequencies. He is an extremely talented individual. The shop is super clean and the price for a custom Magnaflow was a fraction of other places I had checked. I can not say enough about the quality of service I received from Tommy and Jay. I came to them in desperation to resolve a minor problem that 3 other shops had previously failed to find a fix for. Tommy and Jay worked together to not only find and fix the problem in record amount of time, but also welded the spot in question. I was so thrilled with the work that I ordered shocks, steering stabilizer, headers and had Tommy weld in a brand new muffler while I was there. When you find a team that knows their trade this well, and still retains a smile and the ability to think outside the box and does it all for a fair price and with integrity never ever go anywhere else. I am a raging fan now, and will use them for everything I need in the future whatever it is. THEY ARE THE BEST I have found in Dallas and I have used many and I am picky about who touches my Jeep. read more

Jay and Tommy took fantastic care of my 68 Chevelle that needed headers and custom pipes to give me more ground clearance. They communicated frequently throughout the repair, treated me like a lifelong customer and the cost was very fair. I will use them exclusively in the future for all my vehicles. read more

Needed some work on the exhaust. Tommy was quick and did a great job. Price is also fair vs. other shops. I ended up brought my car in for an oil change. Again, Tommy got me in and out the shop along with some fantastic work. I brought my own oil, filter, gasket. It was $15 for the change. Beats paying $120 at Park Place. I still bring my car to the dealership for bigger services. But for something simple, this is my go to place. read more

Had the best experience thanks to reading all the positive comments left. Had tried my best to install a cat back system but it leaked after the cat. I stopped in on a Monday to explain the issue. They were more than nice & professional in diagnosing & repairing the used automobile we recently purchased. Tommy was terrific.

Horrible customer service. Had an appointment for 2pm got there 20 minutes earlier cause I was in the area, not expecting to be seen yet. I get inside and I'm told the only guy that could work on my car was at a doctors appointment. So I said I'd wait. Then 2:10 hits and the guy calls the shop to talk to his guy and all I hear was him saying he got out of his appointment and was headed back but still had 30-40 minutes left on another car before he could work on my car and how it wasn't his fault that I came early. Not once did he call me to let me know he wouldn't be there on time or offer a discount for the time spent on waiting longer than I was supposed to. Don't waste your time going here. read more

Terrible service. Dump of an environment. I was somehow refered to this place by the station that was performing my Texas state inspection. I parked outside of an open bay at 9am, and went inside. I made every effort to get a response/greeting of any sort (including walking through the shop-floor), but was completely ignored. The reception area was as much of a dump as the rest of the shop, and the only thing more unbelievable was complete & utter lack of customer service. I found Pronto Exhaust & Muffler on Yelp, and received 100% better service in a clean, professional environment. It literally took Pronto a few minutes more to replace my convertors than I spent at Exhaust Authority being ignored. Amazing. read more

I have come here for 3 cars in the past to do a muffler delete. It was done quickly and efficiently until this time. I had a muffler delete done and it sounded great, until I went full throttle. It sounded like there was a leak, or something as there was an incredibly loud wailing noise. Took it back, they looked at it said there might have been something there. I drove it again, same thing. They told me this is just what happens when you do a muffler delete, wouldn't do anything to fix the issue. Went to another store, they took one look at it - said it was poorly done and a muffler delete alone wouldn't cause this. They fixed it for cheap by rewelding everything and the car sounds great, no muffler and no howling noise. Good work in the past, but not this time. Take the good reviews with a grain of salt. read more

Terrible service. They know how to make appointments, they just haven't figured out how to honor appointments. Made an appointment 2 days in advance. They did awesome job on my dual exhaust flow masters!!! Very nice employees and helpful. And definitely not over priced!

Honest and helpful. I was told something was wrong with my catalytic converter. These guys checked it out, called me and said it didn't need to be replaced, just needed a sensor replaced. They easily could have easily told me I'd need a new converter, but they were honest about the repair and I think that means a lot. I'll definitely be coming back here for any exhaust needs. read more
