They do not offer mobile service as of this writing which is too bad for many of us who simply do not have a vehicle to load a bike, for one. The rental was well priced and while it wasn't a high end bike, but it was tuned well. I had a great ride. These folks took time to install my pedal system and the saddle in a reasonable position. The guys are nice, but way over priced. I needed a cone tool. MSRP on manufacturer's website said $5.45 the package had no price on it by the time I'm paying it rings up 9.77 and I get "well that PARK TOOL for you" by the guy checking me out. I bought a similar tool a mile away and they used PARKTOOL MSRP. just way over priced when they are not the only game in town. Better off buying the thing some where else. read more

Stopped in to get a new tube after Tera popped hers on our last critical mass ride. Guys in the shop are hella cool. Very friendly, willing to talk to you, answer questions, show you how to do stuff etc. I only bought a couple of tubes and a tool set on this visit, but I'm sure I'll be back for other biking gear. I'm on the Discount Tire Cycling team and ride among people with serious road bikes. I'm the guy with the new hybrid and not a lot of extra budget for cycling. I've been riding with the team about six weeks and lacked clipless pedals. One of my team members suggested I go here and that they would take great care of me. Did they ever on Saturday (April 12, 2014). I stopped by briefly around lunch and had a quick conversation with Nathan. He immediate offered to save me about $50 overall on the purchase of shoes and pedals, compared to another shop in town. I came back later in the afternoon and not only did he stick to his offer, he spent almost an hour tweaking my bike to make sure it fit me perfectly. This was my first time buying anything in the shop. I didn't buy my bike here! This morning I had one of my best rides ever, owing to the fact I had the new pedals and that my bike was custom fit to me, myself and I. Great shop, great service. Ok, this review is long overdue. Came in September 2012 to try a Specialized cruiser bike I saw online. I was quickly greeted by James, who turned out to be a real bike guru. I had so many questions and James was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Took the cruiser for a lap and BOOM I was in love. Even though it was a Friday night (creeping on their closing time), James and the Exhale crew did not rush us at all and even took the time to assemble all the add-ons I wanted. A GREAT bike shop! I was in town for a conference a few weeks ago and wanted to spend a free afternoon in the mountains. I saw that they had some good reviews and I was not disappointed! They guys at the shop were fast, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to recommend the best trail points as well as a good restaurant to refuel afterwards. I had been wanting a "higher technology" bike for a while when I finally decided it was time to upgrade from my run-of-the-mill Wall-Mart bike. A cyclist friend suggested Exhale Bikes. I stopped in to take a look around. What I found was a wide selection of "higher technology" bikes, but more importantly, a staff that not only cared about what I was wanting to do - but understood that, while I knew quite a bit, I didn't already know everything. I found a bike that fit what I was looking for and in the price range I wanted. That's not why I'm writing this review. I came away with an education! I had never ridden a bike like this before. I didn't know how to operate parts of it, how to maintain it, I didn't even know the terminology for most of the things I knew I wanted. I had been in high end bike shops before and they assumed I knew what they knew. The guys at Exhale made *sure* I knew what I needed to know. Some of the things they taught me I did already know, but they taught me much more. I am a runner, not a cyclist. Cycling makes me a better runner. I gave them 5 stars because of how they interact with their clients. It's not about selling the bike, it's about making sure the client gets what they need. read more

This was the best experience in any shop that I've had in quite some time. We were looking into bike rentals last minute and they were able to help us out in no time. Joey was amazing over the phone during my initial call. Very patient and offered to have the bikes sized to our height while we headed over to pick them up so we wouldn't have long to wait. We also needed a tube for the front tire of a bike we owed, and they were able to fit us in and fix it right away. One gentleman discussed different bikes with my boyfriend while another guy was talking to me and recommended some bike trails we could ride. Such a great experience! Everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable and laid back, and the rentals were in great condition. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family!! read more

Always helpful people, fantastic service. I bought my mtn bike 7 years ago from these folks and haven't thought of going anywhere else since. EDIT: Explanation of WHY I feel this way: I brought the bike in because I had blown out the front fork seals, probably just from the bike hanging around too long without being used. The guys had the bike for a couple days, to give it a good once over, and I didn't care, I haven't ridden it in a while. They called with the verdict, the fork seals can be fixed, but it might be hard to find parts, the company that made them is out of business. I didn't care to worry about it right yet, so said "I'm not gonna worry about it, what do I owe ya for the checkup?" they said "Nothing, just come back here when you want to buy new front forks." Tucked away in a forgotten strip mall this is my go to local bike shop. I purchased my mountain bike here and it was one of the best things I bought. The owner and fellows that work here are just great. They really know bikes and how to fix them. They also know how to treat customers. I am always immediately greeted and asked why I am there. They answer all of my questions no matter how naive with patience and expertise. I trust them totally. What I really appreciate though is listening to them speaking to someone buying their first bike for themselves or for a child. The Exhale guys do a great job of listening and explaining until the customer is satisfied. This is a great shop. read more

Exhale is a decent shop with a good selection of oddball parts. This makes it very handy when you need something on short notice. Brackets, hardware, cable, etc.; they have a lot of special parts in stock that most shops don't, which is a huge help. Customer service is pretty good. Prices are reasonably competitive for retail. I'm not a fan of bike shops in general - I look to the internet for big purchases and more attractive price incentives. I do 99% of my own building and maintenance, but the jobs I can't do (i.e. require very expensive, specialized tools), I've tried to have done here. I don't doubt they would do a good job, but they always seem overbooked, and turn around time quotes have always been laughably long. I'll pass... Looks like they have a lot of good rental bikes (Specialized and Santa Cruz), so if you need one, I'd stop in here first. read more

Wow. This was the best customer service I've had in a very long time - I'm talking like decades. I had a biking jacket given to me as a Christmas gift - it was too small. I brought it in without a receipt. Exhale was happy to exchange it for me. They did not have my size in stock in that same style. I was told that they would be able to order one for me. I was also given the option of an in-store credit. Instead, I selected another style of jacket that was slightly more expensive. Exhale covered the difference! I was astonished. They have a great selection of (mostly Specialized brand) products. But outstanding customer service. Despite the fact that this is not the closest shop to my house, this will be my bike shop of choice. read more

Took my bike in over a year ago, had the tune up. Best money I ever spent. Honest place. Recently took it back for issue I had with it, Nathan came out to look at it after overhearing me describe what happened to other associate...he tweeked it some, took it for a ride in the parking lot...all fixed right then and there...at NO charge. I've been here twice so far and the service and product have both been excellent! Stopped in to rent a bike for the day and the bike worked well. They also supplied all the necessary equipment such as a helmet, spare tube, etc. I stopped in again today because I was having an issue with the derailleur on my own bike. They fixed it quickly. First time I went there, they were helpful. Second time, dude sold me a new tire and threw it on for me. He pinched the tube ($8) and I had a flat 2 miles into my ride. I was irritated but that happens so no biggie. Today I came in to see if they could throw some brakes on a bike and adjust the chain and the guy said it would take a month. He looked at me like a) he just didn't want to do it and b) like I was someone whose business he didn't want (I was dirty from moving a bunch of stuff after a yard sale). I needed to have a flat tire fixed on my bike. I called the shop and spoke with James. I am not mechanical and asked him how to take the front tire off. He tried to explain on the phone but with me not being mechanical I could not get it done. He suggested I go to YouTube.com which I did and after watching a video had the tire off and headed down to the store. He said I needed a new tube and he done the work while I waited. I also bought a new seat. We talked for a bit and he answered all of my questions about bikes. Very professional people, friendly and ready to help. Jeff and crew at Exhale Bikes were wonderful. I didn't know anyone in the shop and only stopped by after reading Yelp reviews and noticing their plentiful stock. Although I grew up on a bike and cruised on bikes as an adult, I never thought about taking cycling serious until a girlfriend talked me into a sprint triathlon. Jeff was patient and asked a ton of questions to get to know me, my preferences, budget and needs. Once he had the intel, he delivered the perfect bike out the gate. I looked others over or tested them to be sure, but he showed me a bike that immediately became one with me. Jeff set my expectations for maintenance requirements and answered all my questions and some. At my request, he also helped with gear, equipment and a stand (Jeff wasn't pushy and I wasn't going to just go home and prop my new baby against a wall). Jeff was so awesome at helping me out, my husband who was with me waiting patiently decided he wanted a bike too. Jeff took care of him and once again, delivered the perfect bike out the gate. Service, education and the love of bikes is big here and was the only reason we purchased on the fly. We got great products at great prices too. read more
