I recently used this company for a move to RI. The scheduling process was easy and the price was competitive. The movers, Rodrigo and William, arrived on time, were efficient, neat, communicated well and were very pleasant to work with. My move could not have gone more smoothly. I highly recommend! read more

I've used Exela Movers two years in a row and have been more than happy with both moves. They wrapped all furniture in protective cushioning and everything made it to my new condo in exactly the same shape as it was in my old place. The movers were courteous and kind during the whole move. I would highly recommend!! read more

Things that went well: - The movers were on time - The movers were friendly and accommodating - Arranging the move was easy and responsive Things that did not go well: - We told the movers that there would certain items we were donating (a couch/coffee table/chest) instead of bringing to our new home. We instructed the movers to put those items in the U-haul we rented. This was our biggest mistake because the movers were careless with these items when moving. Examples: - They ripped a hole in the couch - They broke the leg off a chair Once we told the movers that we could no longer donate these items, we asked them to recommend someplace we could trash the items. While not ideal since we originally wanted to donate the items, we really just wanted to get rid of the items. The movers said they could take the items off our hands... but we had to pay for it..$275! Overall, nice guys but I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. UPDATE AS OF 10/22: The moving director reached out with sincere apologies for any errors made by the crew. She was extremely kind, persistent and apologetic. She offered a refund for any broken furniture, which is greatly appreciated. Great custom service. read more

Alexe and Exala movers were fantastic for our out of state move. From the initial quote (very reasonable), to accomodating a possible change on our end in the date, to checking in beforehand to finalize the arrival time of the packers, to the actual packing and moving day and delivery - everything was smooth, and they were professional and easy to work with. All our furniture and things arrived without a scratch, and there were no surprise charges at any time. They also wore masks the whole time for packing, loading, and delivery. Overall one of the best moving experiences we've ever had - highly recommend. read more

The staff are punctual, professional and careful with everything. No problems were encountered . Highly recommended.

I chose Exela Movers based on the many positive reviews I found. I moved 700 miles from Boston and the transition could not have gone any smoother. Alexe and his crew went above and beyond my expectations! read more

We had a move planned for a Saturday morning from a storage unit to an apartment, unfortunately a moving company canceled on us with no motive. Me and my roommate started freaking out since we already had reserved a parking spot for the moving truck, which needs to be reserved with a 3 week notice. That is when we started calling every mover in Boston and ran into Exela Movers, the booking and terms were easy and reasonable. They arrived super punctual and in less than 3 hours and 30 minutes Exela Movers had moved an entire 2 bedroom apartment from the basement of a storage to a third floor of an apartment complex (the previous move out to the storage unit took other movers 6 hours). Exela Movers is an extremely efficient and professional company I would recommend to anyone! read more

I hired Exela for a move from Somerville to Salem. It was the hottest weekend of the year -- 90-plus degrees. The team was punctual and professional. The rates were reasonable too. I highly recommend Exela. read more

Great moving experience using Exela Movers for an interstate move. My ex had put my belongings in a non climate controlled storage unit and I lost some items to mold. The guys on the job helped by pointing out the items that had mold and held them up for me to take photos before leaving behind. They didn't mind that I was pretty grumpy due to the circumstances and cheered me up with their positive attitudes. They made a quick job of loading the trucks and were right on time the following morning at my house in MA. They worked hard unloading all of my belongings and asked which level and room I wanted the heavier furniture in. They left paths between the boxes so it was easy for me to navigate through with two trucks worth of items in a fairly small house. I'd recommend them to my friends/family and I'd also use them again for any future moves! read more

Exela Movers helped us move from our 2 bed apartment to a 3 bedroom home. We used them for primarily moving heavy/bulky furniture, such as our mattress/box spring, sectional sofa, sleeper sofa, entertainment centers, etc. They were fast, efficient, and accommodating. They were done moving the selected furniture in less than 3 hours. They wrapped everything and handled our items with care. Walls and floors were not damaged in the process. I would 100% recommend and would use them again in the future. read more

Your crew made my move simple and painless. They were efficient yet careful, and friendly. I would not hesitate to use Exela again.

We definitely use them again. Very nice and efficient! They came on time and were very professional.

We used Exela Movers for a JP to Brighton move. It was our first time using a professional company so we were a bit nervous going in. We could not have had a better experience. I booked our move directly with the owner, Alexe. The price was fair and there were no hidden fees. The movers showed up on time and they were so fast! Everything was handled with care. They navigated tight parking, a tricky time window, stairs, and heat. We were thoroughly impressed. Definitely recommend them for anyone looking for stress-free moving. read more

Exela helped me move from one neighborhood to another in Boston. They did a great job. They arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, were gentle with my things and were very fast. Lastly, they were professional and courteous. Will definitely hire them again in the future. read more

Exela just moved my family from Pittsburgh to Boston this Summer, July 2020. Thanks to them, our move was stress free and went perfectly. You hear horror stories about movers, but not with Exela as they are the best of the best. I recommend them so highly and would choose them again. They did everything for us. Packed our house, provided supplies, and moved us without any hick ups. They were on time and worth every penny. read more

I hired them to do my move about a month ago, and these guys were efficient, courteous and safe with items. They communicated well and handled all the details with ease. They were upfront about any additional charges, and let me know if something didn't seem worthwhile (hoisting my oversized couch up to my third floor unit). They were professional from start to finish, and I would highly recommend them. read more

I recently moved from Woburn MA to Mount Pleasant SC and hired Exela Movers. From the initial assessment my experience with them was great. They were the only movers that guaranteed me express shipping. They picked up my belongings on a Thursday morning and were moving me in on Monday morning. They could have done it sooner but I needed the weekend to travel here. All of my belongings arrived and in good condition. Nothing was lost or misplaced. The movers Andre and Jonny worked very hard and it was very hot! I would highly recommend them as a mover! I only wish they could come back and move me when I finally purchase my new home here! read more

I have used Exela twice now and both times and I can't imagine moving without them! They make everything so easy, from the scheduling to the move itself. They are friendly, professional, efficient, and even remembered me from the prior year which shows how much they value their customers! They always handle everything with tremendous care as if they were moving their own belongings. I continue to recommend them to anyone that I know who is considering moving within the Boston area! read more

I booked Exela for our recent move mostly based on price and reviews. I was not disappointed! The team were very professional and friendly, showed up on time and moved all our stuff so quickly I thought they'd arrive at the new place before I'd even got the keys!! I've never seen a group of guys work so hard in such extreme heat, not least because of the number of stairs they had to climb! The whole team made our move smooth and stress free, I couldn't rate them higher and would recommend them to anyone in the Boston area. read more

Exela movers was recommended to me by a friend and they definitely did not disappoint. They gave me a very reasonable estimate and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The movers came on time and were incredibly efficient, but careful in moving all the furniture and belongings I have accumulated over the years. Moving is typically so stressful for me, but working with Exela Movers made it easy :) Would highly recommend to anyone! read more

Great job! They arrived on time, worked hard, didn't damage anything and I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone looking to move. read more

We only move two towns over but Exela Movers were great. They had very competitive rates, on time, and easy to work with. We were a little nervous when they showed up in a Penske rental truck, but everything went smoothly. Our 4 bedroom/9 room house was packed up in about 3.5 hrs and unloaded in 3. Nothing broke and I don't think the move could have gone any better. read more

I messaged them to book a move last minute. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. And it was a bonus that they were also one of the least expensive companies that I looked at. I would definitely use them again! read more

Hiring Exela Movers was one of the smartest decisions I've made! I had never used movers prior, and everyone at Exela was incredibly helpful in making my move from the suburbs into the city so much simpler and easier than it could have been otherwise. Alexe was super helpful over the phone and email in setting up the move and giving us tips; the team who did our move were so friendly, helpful, quick and careful with our stuff. Absolutely worth the money and I would hire them again without question for my next move. Thanks Exela! read more

I had to move within a week and I was having trouble finding a moving company that had an open time slot that would work for me. Luckily I found Exela Movers and they were able to fit me into their busy schedule. The movers were on time and didn't waste any time moving my furniture and boxes. They made sure to wrap everything up and were extra careful with my stuff. They were also extremely quick and efficient. They moved all my things out of my one bedroom apartment and into my my new apartment in less than two hours. I'm very happy that I chose Exela Movers and would highly recommend them to anyone. Don't hesitate to contact the owner Alexe, he's awesome! read more

THE BEST MOVING COMPANY IN BOSTON!!!! If you come across this company during your yelp search, don't think any further about whether you are going to hire them or not, just book them as soon as you can--because when you do, all of your worries and headaches go away I have to echo the comments from the guy below me: Moving is never fun. It's time consuming, laborious, and out right dreadful. I have moved a total of 5 times and this was the first time that the moving process was hassle free and actually quite enjoyable, mainly because I didn't have to do anything. These guys did everything, start to finish. They showed up on time, are very professional, fun and friendly, and most importantly they do a very good job. They packed all of my belongings and moved me in a few hours. Nothing was damaged. One of the biggest selling points is that they may have some of the lowest prices in Boston, so not only do they making moving hassle-free, you don't have to break the bank to do it. In the future, I plan to use them any time I move because they are that good. If you are like me and hate moving or have had bad experiences with movers, please believe me when I say that these guys are the real deal and you won't regret your decision. I rarely write reviews (but I'm always on yelp reading reviews of companies that I'm going to interact with). I had to write this review because I felt that strongly. read more

Booking was easy and the staff was able to answer all of my questions. Moving day they were early, polite, and fast! They took care with various items, including wrapping, taping, etc if needed. They were careful with large and heavy furniture, especially on stairs and corners. If something wouldn't fit, they told us quickly and helped us come up with a plan. read more

We moved from a three floor walk up to a single family home in early August and it could not have gone smoother thanks to Exela. They were on time and moved incredibly fast especially considering the amount of floors they had to go up and down. Nothing was lost or damaged and other than a box spring (poor planning on our part) everything made it into our new home! We were very happy with Exela and would recommend them to anyone looking for help with their move. read more

Can't say enough good things about this moving company. On time, polite, clean, fast, friendly, and affordable. Best moving company I've ever hired. I'll definitely use them again personally, and as a realtor who helps other people move all the time, I'm definitely going to recommend them to all my clients and colleagues. Thank you for a great job at a very fair price. read more

These guys were very flexible with scheduling our move, and arrived 15 minutes early to get going. They were quick and efficient, and so friendly! They tried for over an hour to get our couch into our new apartment. It seemed like there was no way it was going in, but they wouldn't give up! Very professional and reasonable priced. I will definitely use them in the future! read more

We had a moving disaster on our hands when we called Exela to help us out. We had another company cancel on us on the day of POD loading, and Exela Movers came to the rescue! They got a crew to my son's apartment in Boston within a few hours of calling and had everything moved into the POD in a little over an hour. They were friendly, professional, honest and got to work as soon as they arrived. They were careful with our possessions and so helpful on a day that was super stressful! I would highly recommend Exela for your next move! read more

I moved from the South Short to North Shore and had no issues with Exela. They arrived on time, treated my things with care, and were quick. I have a large one bedroom and way too much stuff for one person, but they did the full move in about 7 hours. I would definitely use them again. read more

We have moved many times in the last 40 year and Excela was by far the best. They were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them them 100 percent. You will be in excellent hands. read more

Fast and easy. They moved my company and my coworker before, so I hired them to move from an apartment to my new home. They were able to accommodate picking up more stuff in between at a storage facility. They were very friendly and efficient. They even took care when packing things I hadn't though about (ie they taped together loose items like curtain rods and they brought a plastic cover to protect my mattress). This move would have been impossible to do on my own. I hope I don't move for a long time, but if I do, I would certainly hire them again. read more

Highly professional, safety conscious, punctual -- we give our highest recommendation to the team

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The entire process was extremely smooth and without any issues. From the minute they picked my stuff up to when they dropped it off everything was done with extremely efficiently. read more

BEWARE! If you are moving around Sep 1 or other high peak time, do NOT choose Exela. They charge way more than other moving companies. During high peak, almost all moving companies I called charge around $140-180/hour (for two movers) with 2-hour minimum moving time. However, Exela charges $325/hour (for two movers) with 3-hour minimum moving time! This is absurd. Make sure to do your research. There are plenty of companies to choose from! read more

Excellent service. The movers arrived earlier than expected and were extremely efficient. We used a PODS unit that was tight on space but their diligence and careful arrangement left us with room to spare. They were extremely professional and careful with our things. One word of advice if you are using them for loading services is to either wrap/prepare your own furniture or be prepared to pay quite a bit for packing materials. Only complaint is they didn't mention the additional hour they charged us for travel to and from our apartment, so just ask for clarification when booking. But definitely recommend!! read more
