I took my truck to Excel Diesel & SUV to have a brake noise checked. They told me my brakes and rotors needed to be replaced and pointed out several other issues with my recently purchased used truck. When I asked questions about their findings, I was met with rude and dismissive responses, so I decided not to move forward with any repairs. A couple of days later, I noticed fluid leaking onto my driveway and took my truck to another mechanic for a second opinion. They confirmed my brakes and rotors were in mid/good condition, and the brake noise was simply due to the type of brake pads and dirt. They also found that the rear differential bolt had not been fully tightened, which was the cause of the leak. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Excel Diesel & SUV. I was disappointed with both the customer service and the inaccurate repair recommendations, especially after paying a fee just to have the brakes inspected. read more

Excel Diesel and Suv - Auto Repair Near Me - Parker, Colorado

My SUV had a dashboard light that came on so I took in to EXCEL. They performed an extensive inspection and came up with the contributing causes. When they contacted me to share the results they went in-depth to explain the causes and proposed resolutions in a way that I totally understood. They did the repairs and got my SUV back to me very quickly. Taking my SUV out for a ride I found their work to be excellent as the performance of my SUV was as if it were brand new and right off the showroom floor. If you ever need any work done on your vehicle I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give EXCEL DIESEL and SUV the opportunity to make your vehicle right. read more

We had a small job done on our 2018 super duty. No complaints, and my only recommendation is that some of the guys grow mustaches. That place is mustache-deficient. read more

Great guys. Very fair and very knowledgeable. Gave advice that I appreciated for my son and his first diesel truck!

Will deff not bring any vehicles back here. Brought in a 2005 Excursion for emissions testing, and was told it needed $1500 in repairs to pass emissions. The manager at the counter instructed the tech to manually fail the emissions due to a "missing EGR Cooler", which upon 2nd opinion, its not missing. The shop charged me $65 for an emissions test that passed everything, yet they manually failed, to try and get $1500 in unnecessary repair work out of me. I'd appreciate my $65 back, and would warn anyone to stay AWAY. Above is the Original Review I left on google. To which they responded, quoting images that were almost 2 years older than my most recent visit, and at the time they were taken, the shop said an EGR Valve was missing (That repair was done), and even called the owner of the vehicle to yell at him for my review. (He very politely put the "Manager" in check for his tone and misrepresentations) Very unprofessional shop, and it seems their only goal is to make money to dishonest way. They didn't even pop the hood at this visit for a "Visual Inspection" to know if it has an EGR Cooler or not. Excel Diesel owes me $65 for a test that should not have failed, due to their own greed. I will also be reporting the shop to the State Health Department for their dishonest tactics. read more

Since I recently moved back to Parker, I have shown up on some mailing lists as a "new resident". This has generated a few "welcome to the neighborhood" letters, and a couple of freebies. Excel Diesel and SUV was one of the freebies I received. They sent me a letter offering a free oil change ($38.99 value), and since I was due for an oil change, I decided to take full advantage. I was pleasantly surprised when I called that they were able to get me in the same day. This place is located on the Northwest corner of where Parker Road and E-470 intersect. To reach the store, one enters from Woodman Drive (by the Loaf and Jug) and works their way though the short street and parking lots. This is a little more difficult than it should be, since several automotive oriented business have opened up in recent years and they are lining the narrow street with cars on both sides. Getting through the parking lot was also somewhat challenging as most of the spaces were full, and several cars and trucks were double parked as well. Upon entering Excel Diesel I caught a big whiff of diesel (not surprising). This is not my favorite smell, and tends to give me a headache after a while (I doubt that I will ever own a diesel vehicle). The waiting area was rather spartan. However, the guys (mostly older) working here were very friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable. They had my oil changed in under 45 minutes, and seem to have done an excellent job. I was glad to get a free oil change, and if the prices are reasonable down the road, I would definitely consider coming back here again. read more

Even with the increased demand and supply chain shortages they got all the work done in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

I would describe my experience at Excel Diesel as exceptional! I travel frequently and have difficulty with my availability getting some things done. I had a free afternoon and had a significant problem with my truck suspension. I went to XL diesel having done a diesel emissions check there before. Upon arrival, I met Josh who served as my technician throughout my repairs. I did not have an appointment yet Josh figured out a way to get me in anyway knowing I was leaving town for a week. The repairs to my truck were extensive due to some damage to my suspension. Josh kept me apprised of the process from day one through completion. Additionally, Josh removed and stored my canoe from my roof rack. He expressed concern that it should not be left on top of the truck. I had not had time to remove it. When I returned with the work completed, Josh had placed the canoe back on my truck and secured it with straps. Those actions were reflective of a level of customer care and professionalism that I have not experienced in quite some time. Josh and the rest of the staff were outstanding to work with. I emphatically recommend Excel Diesel. Thank you! Randy read more

I brought my 2000 Ford F350 4X4 7.3 Powerstroke Dually in for Emissions and as usual Excel did a Great job. I have been a Customer at Excel for about 15 years and I Highly recommend them for all your needs Diesel and Gas. read more

Second time I have used Excel for a diesel emissions test. No issues if you call first to see how busy they may be and if they tell you they're not real busy right now, get yer butt over there. If they're busy, try again. If you walk in without calling first, and catch them at a busy time, you're going to be disappointed - but that's not their fault - it's yours. I would add that although I know my truck needs a few things, they didn't push anything on me because I was just getting an emissions test. I anticipate if they noticed anything severely wrong or a safety issue, they would bring it to my attention. 2004.5 Dodge 5.9 CTD HO and I know I have some weeping injectors due to the occasional smell... read more

BEWARE THESE GUYS DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DIESELS!!!!!! Being in the diesel repair you would think they would know about common issues with diesel trucks but i was wrong! Charged me 2500.00 for (4) new driver side injectors on my 03 chevy duramax. only to get 300 miles down the road headed back to Ohio only to find its doing the same exact thing! Getting 3-4 gallons of fuel in the oil. Long story short they told me to get screwed. Even after i had 100% proof that they half ass the job and the tech just didnt want to do the hard side (passenger side) After getting home and removing the motor. We found 2 bad injectors and the banjo bolt washers was finger tight on the passenger side. So now i need a 8000.00 motor because the job was not diagnosed correctly. See you in court! I sure wish i would have seen all these bad reviews before i went here.. Not the fake ones in their website! read more

First time here for diesel emission testing. The service people were honest and friendly. The parking lot is full and slightly confusing, but once I got here I was good. The waiting area is clean as well. Thank you for helping me with my old lil diesel car. read more

I have been taking my truck to them since they've opened with no issues untill I took my truck in a few months ago for a coolant leek. They told me to was leaking from the coolant reservoir hose so i had them fix it. Now i took it back in for another coolant leak and the told me " it is leaking from the same joint". And charging me for the repair. On top of it they wanted me to sign previous work order so they could sent it to ford to get paid for warranty repair. So i questioned if they are getting paid for warranty why am i being charged. Sounds to me like the shop is trying to get double paid. Shops like this give the industry a bad name. read more

These guys are keeping my 01 7.3 powerstroke on the road, 450,000+ and counting. Only place I'll go.

These guys are fantastic, they saved me from something that was going to go majorly wrong with my truck, that I didn't know about and another local diesel mechanic missed entirely (but tried to charge me $5500 for a bunch of stuff I didn't even need.) Excel is honest and won't try to sell you work or services you don't need. The only shop I trust with my truck :) read more

So disappointed. Had been a customer here for years, but not anymore. Needed a simple emissions test done and tried to call and make an appointment. They told me they don't make appointments for emissions. So I try 4 DIFFERENT TIMES to get it done with them and get told that they can't do it. So here is an idea.... Don't offer walk in emissions testing if you can't/won't do it. Maybe allow appointments? Glad I was luck enough to not needed to take time off of work to get it done. read more

Yes!!!..The smell of a diesel is the most satisfying thing to a REAL man.. Unfortunately diesels come with a high price tag..I have a 07 F250 and I LOVE IT..It was rolling blue (fuel) instead of coal. I blew several injectors and my baby was sick. So I did some reviews and saw Excel had some good comments on their page. It turns out that they are some bad ass dudes.. They made my baby better (a lot better) than before.. I always say if you wanna drive a big boy, get ready to pay with the big boy..THEY ARE AWESOME.. read more

I've used these guys for years.I won't say that everything they've ever done is perfect but I've had them do a lot of unusual and one-off jobs. I'm not typical. :) They've always been honest and fair and if I have an issue they've made it right and no haggling required. They are EXTREMELY busy and try to do the best by all their customers. I'd like it if they did more customization work but that's not really what they are in business for and they already have more business than they can handle. I really wish they would expand. Great people to work with. And, as far as the one report of watching them fire someone, I saw a mechanic take a drive shaft to the face and they dropped everything to drive him personally to the E.R. so I know they care very much about the people who work there. read more

I have dealt with this repair shop on a few occasions and I have been nothing but honest and full of integrity. On time repair, on budget estimate. They did me a nice favor too - I won't mention what it is becasue they might not want to make a habit of it, but it meant a great deal to me.
