We never used the warranty and when we had maintenance there they never turned of a tire pressure light that just needed to be reset. We had an issue with a couple months left on the warranty. We took the van in and were informed we had to pay I think it was $65 for diagnostics. The guy that was helping us was smug and just rolled his eyes when I asked about my warranty. When the "diagnostics" were done they came back with a quote of $2400 for the issue which was a wiring harness damaged "do to rodents" so nothing would be covered. The smug employee pissed of my wife so bad we had our van towed to another mechanic. The total for the repairs at the other mechanic ... $180 including an oil change! I used to love going to Mile High and previous repair guys were awesome. This last experience I will never give them another dollar. I still have a month on my warranty. If anything goes wrong at all I will bring them the van and cause a scene if I get any push back. They allowed us time to decide if it was worth fixing and were creative about getting the costs to something more affordable but ultimately I agreed to have all but one item fixed. I really appreciated that I wasn't given grief for wanting to fix this old beauty instead of calling it quits and also appreciated their confidence in doing this amount of work to make it like new. This Christian Brothers Automotive is thorough and the final cost was reasonable compared to the quote (slight increase from what looks like parts being a tad more than anticipated). I was able to point out a few things myself that were initially missed, and it seemed like the technician performing the inspection may have been new, as they needed guidance from more experienced team members. I expressly requested an oil change only for the time being, till we'd had time to explore what she would elect to do maybe sooner or later. The issue is this, they didn't communicate to me in the phone call, what all they would be doing (other than the oil change). They then do what i can only assume is taking advantage of a young woman's naivety (?) and do what I'd consider stuffing the bill to up the list of work. They paid for my Uber ride shares in both directions; both after I dropped off my car to be worked on and when I needed to pick it up after the repairs were done (I don't live near by either). They owners are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Elite worked with my Lexus warranty company to take care of items that the Lexus dealers have constantly declined doing or missed repairs needed because they do not make enough in WARRANTY hourly labor costs to "find" the repairs that need fixing. It's shameful. I had previously brought my car into THREE different Lexus dealerships and asked them to inspect the car and use my warranty to cover the charges. Each time they said, "we can't seem to duplicate what you are bringing it in for". I sincerely appreciate the Elite team taking care of all the repairs and by working WITH my warranty company to cover as much as possible. I will say that their hourly labor rates are definitely higher than most of the auto repair shops but in the end you get what you pay for. How many hours and days I had wasted going to and from the dealer only to be sent home without the repairs. While I do love saving money, I also value saving time and I will be bringing my Lexus to Elite from now on.
