Had a leak in an upstairs toilet flange, causing a leak onto my downstairs ceiling. Contacted Rick at Exact Leak Detection. Talked with Rick who was very understanding about my situation. Rick received pics of the leak then sent a crew out ASAP. Rick called the morning of the repair to let me me know "Mario" and his crew would be out to do the work. Mario and his crew arrived, laid out carpet protectors, plastic on our carpet below the repair areas and went right to work. They installed the new flange, showed me the new flange and installed the toilet onto the new flange right down to the caulk line. Mario and his crew checked for leaks, vacuumed up and disposed of everything. The price Rick quoted was the price I paid. No up charges, no "Well, we had to charge for" nonsense. I must say, that I am very appreciative of what plumbers do. It's a rare skill which asks them (plumbers) to combine their work skill with empathy, kindness and understanding for their customers. Rick, Mario and his crew definitely displayed all of that start to finish. My insurance company sent out two plumbing companies to bid on the work (Repair a slab leak). I decided to go with Exact Leak Detection because Aaron who is the technician that came to assess the scope of work was very knowledgeable took his time explaining the repair process. Aaron assured me everything will be done in a clean and timely matter. His positive attitude won me over.  Once I received a resolution from my insurance company I immediately contacted Exact Leak Detection to schedule the repair. Abran and Jason from Exact Leak Detection did excellent work helping us resolve a sudden and severe drop in water pressure at our home. Abran has helped us before, but this time he was the lead on the job, and his experience really showed. They quickly diagnosed the issue and confirmed that the problem was much less severe than what I initially feared, which was a huge relief. Even though a follow-up visit will be needed to fully complete the repair, they worked extremely hard during this visit to restore most of the water pressure back to the house right away so we would not be without usable plumbing. Ricardo Flores and his associates are awesome technicians. Ricardo pinpointed our problem and explained exactly what needed to be done. He was very professional and put me at ease with his level of knowledge and experience. When his associates came out to do the job, they were professional, efficient, knowledgeable and very confident in what they were doing. They did not hesitate to answer questions and were very patient in explaining everything to my satisfaction, even making sure I had photographs of the work being done. One of the most awesome aspects of their work was how they cleaned everything up afterwards. When my husband came home, he was amazed that he couldn't even tell they had been there and ripped out slabs of cement in the garage and had a mound of dirt from the digging they had to do in order to get to the broken pipe. He was also pleased with the way they re-routed a line in order to avoid breaking apart the cement slab inside the house. An absolutely awesome job done by an absolutely awesome crew. I used Exact Leak Detection for one of my properties where the tenant was complaining of a mold issue and I needed to make sure there was no leak in the plumbing system that would generate an excess of moisture under the house. The entire plumbing was ok except for a main valve that needed to get replace outside. Due to miscommunication between the tenants and the company, it was really frustrating to me that the job wasn't being done. I called Rick and said "forget it, I will hire someone else to do the job". Rick explained the situation and made me realize that the miscommunication issue was mainly coming from my tenants. From then on, Rick, driven by customer service satisfaction, did everything in his power to make it right. He sent a technician and his help to replace the valve outside, under the rain. Aaron and his assistant did a great job, and were very nice and amicable. Great guys! I can't begin to express my gratitude for the hard work, professionalism and work etiquette of this company. Exact Leak Detection was recommended by my insurance company back in 2011. So when I discovered a leak (different area), I called them again. The owner, Ricardo is honest, friendly and professional. He even got a crew together to come out the same day to start working on the leak. Santos & Mario worked for several hours to get one leak fixed and discovered another one. They probably would have stayed to work on it but it was getting late and we all agreed that coming back the next day would be better for everyone. In dealing with the unpleasantness of a leak coming from my kitchen ceiling, my insurance company, AAA, initiated the repair process with a recommendation to use Exact Leak Detection (ELD). Within 30 minutes, Jenna from ELD called to let me know a technician would be available with a few hours and she's call 30 minutes before arrival - and she did. The Technician, Eugene C, was on time, prepared, and properly equipped to deal with my situation. He conducted a thorough inspection, took moisture readings to assess the extent of the leak (ceiling drywall, walls, floor), and tested the water pressure. He documented the findings with photos and compiled a report for my insurance claim. We discussed the corrective actions and was informed that he was prepared to fix the leak immediately. I authorized the repair and within 30 minutes, the pipe was repaired. Eugene retested the water pressure, reinspected the repaired pipe, cleaned up and was done. I am so happy and it is a really "Good Friday." I had a small pin hole leak in my bedroom piping above the ceiling. It actually caused my ceiling to cave in! Today it is finally fixed! Unfortunately I had my asbestos test come back positive, so I had to wait until that was cleared up. I had to leave my home and turn off the water for over a week. I called ELD company and explained my situation, Jacqueline was so helpful on the phone as I explained my situation. We had to set up tentative appointment pending the air quality clearance. Mario and Florencio arrived as scheduled and got right to work on a hidden water leak that had my household down (water off) for 2 days. They quickly accessed an area that required special procedures due to the possibility of asbestos disturbance. They minimized the wall opening required to access the plumbing leak, and repaired an unusual situation where one copper pipe had 3 separate, active leaks. Mario and Florencio even went the extra mile to address the potential for future leaks in a badly corroded length of old copper plumbing. They were very thorough and meticulous with the repair and clean-up. I have owned a home for 35 years. I am a certified technician and is very proud to say I've done all my repairs at my house UNTIL NOW! My floor had became very hot and I was hearing cracking noises through it which caused me to panic. My home got a hot water leak badly in my kitchen. I don't know what to do so I randomly call Exact leak team come to my home. Very on-time, they came to get all the work done from A to Z surprisingly. They helped to coordinate all the paperwork and showed us what need to be done stepwise. They are very nice people particularly John, Rick and Eric, they came over to my home and fixed the leak until late friday night, clean it up before they leave and came back early on the next morning like 7AM to finish their jobs and it is on Saturday. Had a serious slab leak that the two man crew was able to reroute my water. Took two men 8 hours of continuous work. It was a complicated leak taking expertise on how to reroute. Did a good job cleaning up. This company does not do the wall repairs but referred me to someone who does. Aaron, the lead, was very knowledgeable with a great personality. His co-worker Josh was also great. The cost, $2,600., which included the cost of the reroute, leak detection, and a shut-off valve replacement on the water heater. I suppose it was reasonable but parts were likely only a few hundred at most. You are paying for the expertise. It will still cost a bunch to repair the holes that had to be cut. 2nd time I used this company. First time the insurance paid. Since there was no water damage this was out of pocket. Ouch! They were very timely and did the repair on a weekend. Would I use them again. For complicated jobs or leak detection, absolutely. read more

My home was built in 1992 and all plumbing was put into the slab. I had a flood in my guest bedroom and master bathroom from a slab leak. This all happened on a Sunday so I turned off the water to the house. We take water for granted until we don't have it. Exact Leak Detection was recommended by my Home Insurance Company. We suffered every homeowners' nightmare; a month's old leak which caused damage to the floor and walls of our family room. The cause was not evident to us immediately which prevented our homeowner's insurance from getting involved with detection and repairs. I had a leak in my hallway bathroom. Two different plumbing contractors came to give me an estimate. the unnamed company came in and said it would cost $10,000 to $20,000 as there was a crack in the cast iron pipe underneath the tub. They did not use any equipment to detect the leak. Exact Leak came by later. Eric & Hunter started in the hallway bathroom. they used camera, moisture detector and more to determine what was leaking. So after a fun weekend in Palm Springs I came back to my home with water gushing from my restroom and my living room.... What a great team of people! Unfortunately nobody likes to see a plumber but when you do, you want a fair, fast and confident fix so you can get back to a normal life again. We had a slab leak, contacted the insurance company and Aaron was out that afternoon to access the situation and determined the exact location of the leak. Because there were environmental issues, the work couldn't be performed immediately. Anthony and Abran returned and rerouted the pipes above the slab. They were able to reroute some additional pipes to take them out of the slab which will save us a headache and the insurance company some money should there be another problem in the future. I would definitely recommend these guys, there are two big concerns with plumbing, fixing the problem and feeling like you didn't get ripped off which Exact Leak Detection made me comfortable with both!
