This place wasn't as busy as I thought it'd be, based on the reviews, but that's good news for me because I didn't have to wait so long to get my car fixed. My oxygen sensor needed replacing. It required 10 minutes of cool down, 20 minutes of installation, and I was out of there. To top it off, the total cost was less than the nearby competitor's. Excellent deal and quick service. The only thing I didn't like was that I had mentioned I'd be coming in at 8AM and he didn't call me to tell me that the part wouldn't be in until 11AM. So I basically drove there and back home at 8AM in the morning. But still, I'm happy with the speed and cost of the service and I'll be coming back here for any future needs. Non-Chain auto body and oil lube shop for mostly Japan model cars. I asked if they also service Toyota Prius's and they do not. Surya is an honest mechanic and takes the time to explain the car's issues to you. He also charges affordable prices for the repairs. I came in recently to have a valve cap gasket repaired on a Camry because I went years without dealing with it and motor oil was slowly seeping onto the engine and I could smell a very unappealing burning smell inside the car cabin. Since I was going to repair this I might as well replace my spark plugs since I should have those replaced at 100k miles. I called at the end of the day to get an update. Surya was completely honest that the valve gasket cap was repaired, but his mechanic had forgotten to replace the spark plugs. He could have easily told me the spark plugs were done and I wouldn't have known the difference since the vehicle has V6 engine and some of the spark plugs require getting into the back of the engine to replace the 3 spark plugs. I thanked him for his honesty and since he was very apologetic that the task was missed he told me I could bring the car in the future and he'll replace the spark plugs without charging additional labor. I took my Toyota Corolla 1999 here for oil change and tire rotation. I was actually planning to go to LVL Auto Repair for the $20 oil change and tire rotation in the next "plaza". But I missed the entrance and got to this one. Before we started the service, I asked for price and I'm sure I heard $25.17 (is only $5 difference compared to the original shop I was planning to go, so I just stayed here). But when they are done with my car and I go to pay, he told me it is $35.17! And what I didn't like the most was that I was holding my credit card in my hand ready to pay at first, but when I heard the price is not what I heard in the beginning, I stalled a little, trying to think what to do, he just took my card and swiped for $35.17. And then he told me $25.17 is for oil change and $10 for tire rotation.... I asked from the beginning for both oil change and tire rotation and you told me is $25.17 and said I heard wrong.... NEVER coming back again! With all the positive feedback that this shop has, I think is probably for "car" service, but NOT for "customer" service! read more

Wow, speak of discrimination! I went here because it got great reviews on Yelp, but from the point I drove up, the looks I got from the service attendant was as if I had landed from another planet. When I went in to see if they could work on my cars A/C, all I got was that they did not work on American cars. I have a Pontiac Vibe GT and would discount my review except that the Vibe is the sister car to the Toyota Matrix! I even get my parts for it from the Toyota dealers as this car was produced by Unity Motors a joint venture plant in Oakland between GM and Toyota! The car has a Toyota engine, Toyota Transmission, Toyota power train and a Pontiac Body. So you would think that an Independent Toyota Specialist would know this, well apparently Evolution Automotive is still in the Jurassic Period because they refused to look at my car. Fortunately my fellow Yelpers also recommended his neighbor T&M Auto Repair, who got my A/C working again in a couple of hours for under a $100! Fantastic! Just came here after a terrible experience from Autozone and let me tell you, THIS GUY IS AMAZING. A brand new starter I bought at Autozone was over 200 and this guy here changes my starter for 175. How does he do it? No idea, must be some sort of wizard or something. There is ALWAYS a line no matter what day of the week you want to go, I had to wake up at 9 just to get there to find out that there's a line although I was the next person so it wasn't so bad. This place is the place to go if you have car problems. The owner, Suri (at least that's how I think you spell it) is super nice. He gives you options not like those sleaze ball mechanics that just want to take your money. He used to work for a Toyota dealership but didn't like the way they ran things there so he opened up his own shop. You can either make an appointment or just drop in to see if he can look at your car. Usually he will be able to look at it right away and diagnose the problem but sometimes he gets really backed up since people always go to see him. I had to change my ball bearing on my car which I didn't know was the problem at the time. Suri said that he would only charge me if I decided to have him fix it which I thought was really cool whereas the dealership would have charged me $100 just to look at it without fixing it. Be careful about parking in the right stall in this plaza - I had my car towed here one night after the starter died and the AAA driver put it crooked in the wrong side, blocking a spot. The owner of this shop always provides great service at affordable prices. He never rips you off and tells you that you need to change things unlike most American places do. I was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry and the rack and pinion was leaking and oil gasket was leaking. Both these surgeries would have cost me $700 at another place, but he was willing to do it for $450. But he said to only come back when they needed replacement. He showed me how to check for when they were actually going bad and sent me on my way. How much more helpful can a mechanic be? read more

Owner Suriya and his associate went above and beyond to help me with a problem with my Honda Pilot. There was this popping sound from the front of my car whenever I accelerate, step on the brake, or turn. I was really afraid that it may be something serious. Suriya test drove my car, heard the popping sound, then carefully proceeded with troubleshooting the issue with his associate. They found something was loose (which I forgot what he said) and of course they did what needs to be done to remedy the issue. He then test drove my car again and didn't notice the popping sound anymore. He told me to bring it back if the sound comes back. I was expecting a bill of at least $50, but he said "don't worry about it". I even offered to buy him coffee but he didn't want that either. I was blown away! In this day and age, I don't think I can find a mechanic that has more integrity and honesty. All my cars will be serviced by Evolution from now on!!! read more

My uncle found this place at first and told my other uncle, who told my dad, who also told myself and my mother. We all went to get something done. The prices here are far better than any chain store. Trust is usually my biggest issue when it comes to auto care and this is a place that I can depend on. I've come here several times for things varying from oil changes, to brake pad & rotor replacement. I've checked around, and no one quote's a better price than here. Suri comes off very sincere, and always quotes a great price off the bat-- no need to haggle. Since the pricing here is so aggressive, they always have plenty of work to keep them busy. Just got back from E.A. Surya is very nice and honest mechanic. My Odyssey air conditioner was blowing out hot air, and my regular mechanic was closed. I searched Yelp and found A1 automotive first. I called them and they said they would charge me 50 dollars just to diagnose the issue. When I called A.E., Surya told me to bring my van in for him to look at free of charge. When I got there, he immediately took my car into his shop to check it. He was honest enough to tell me that he didn't find any issue. My car still have enough freon, and my air conditioning system is still cool. I will definitely return to E.A. for all mechanical needs. read more

Been coming here for years. The owner Surya is very honest, super accommodating, and have affordable prices. He uses manufacture parts for important pieces such as brakes and generic parts for things that don't matter to help customers save money. I don't even bother asking how much when I drop off my car for repair or maintenance because it's always lower than other shops and they do a great job. Being female, I have taken my car to the dealership or other auto shop chains for one issue, then the dealer or other shop would tell me there were many "must fix" issues. A dealership told me if I didn't replace one of the engine bracket (the dog bone), my engine would fall out. Whaaaat?!! How dumb did they think women are?! Another shop told me the torn CV boot will make the axle fall off. What a shame that they try to rip women off. With Surya, I never have to worry about it.
