I love coming here to eat with my parents. They live in Carson and this is sucha cute new addition to the downtown area. The prices are great and you get a huge amount of food! They did not skimp on the smoked salmon with my toast. I devoured it within 10 minutes. I tried their kiwi strawberry mimosa. It inspired me to make this at home! So perfect for spring. Just a heads up, it can get extremely busy so I suggest reservations or just be ready to wait a little bit

Had to fast for labs and this place was close to the lab! Cute lil cafe, some delicious food and attentive service! Be forewarned they cook to order everything, so not a 5 min wait, but was well worth it. I had a custom omelet, DH had the Eve's burger (HUGE) and a bowl of oxtail soup, which he thoroughly enjoyed! We will go back!

Tried eves for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. Upon entering, we got a great first impression from the get go. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We were instantly sat and all of the staff we interacted with was very nice and attentive. I ordered the cheesecake stuffed French toast and it was sooo good. Maybe the best French toast I've had. Was not overly sweet and tasted very fresh My husband got the omg chicken sandwich with soup and he enjoyed it as well. It was very juicy. We were happy to hear everything on the menu is made in house, I feel that is rare these days! We also loved how you can purchase pasta kits to go. We will definitely be doing that for a date night. Overall the price seemed on point with the quality and portion of food and we enjoyed our experience.

Was able to visit Carson City, Nevada and was recommended to try Eve's Eatery. Located on the main road in Carson, Eve's Eatery was a delicious brunch experience. We visited on. Saturday morning and was able to get seating. Eve's menu offer plenty of options for any pallet and prices are very reasonable. Eve's also uses the freshest ingredients and hearty portions. Several mimosa options for those looking for a refreshing libation. Service was great and allowed us privacy to enjoy great conversation. They are pretty popular so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table. Seatings is limited for outside dining, but inside or out, a great meal will be exactly what you're looking for. Eve's Eatry was a great experience and highly recommend. Happy to return and try something else on their menu.

We stopped here for lunch on way to Christmas shop. This place was busy and worth the wait! The menu looked so good it was hard to choose!!! We all loved our food. Truly delish! Definitely will return. It was a great vibe, lots of chatter, and energy. The service was exceptional

Was seated quickly. Although it took the waiters a while to get our order the place was packed so their hands were full. We got the apple cinnamon French toast and the biscuits and gravy. Both hit it out the park. To top it off we got a strawberry pineapple mimosa which was sweet and a little tart. Great spot will be back again

I was visiting family from out of town and this restaurant was recommended. Restaurant: Cozy atmosphere. Very nice staff; very attentive. Food: Amazing! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal - Shrimp Scampi, Red Chilaquiles, Spinach Fettuccine and The Knockout. ... In conclusion, if I were to live in town, this place would definitely be my favorite restaurant!

Stopped in today in a hunt for some clam chowder... yummmm! Definitely did not disappoint. Super hearty and such great flavor. The hubby had the French dip sandwich with fries. The portion was big, French fries were great and the ranch was amazing. Cute place and great service. You can also get fresh pasta to go.

Food was great, ambience is nice, server was great. It did take some time to get our food granted it was 10am on a Sunday. Our other friends that have eaten here always mention the same thing, takes time so don't when you are super hungry just enjoy yourself and come prepared with that in mind. My daughter's $6 Mickey Mouse pancake was great value and fun with some cotton candy on it. Burgers were great. Downsides are it's pretty hot in there! They need some fans for air movement and tint on those east facing windows. Great place.

This place is wonderful! The food is amazing 10/10, I had avocado toast and a strawberry salad, it was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had huevos rancheros and he absolutely loved it. The coffee, music and atmosphere was all my style. Definitely returning.

My husband and I went to Eve's on Mother's Day to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Mother's Day and was extremely disappointed. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and wasn't too loud which was nice considering it was a holiday. Our server was nice but was not attentive to our table. The host took our initial drink order while seating us. We didn't see our server until he came to take our food order and we didn't see him again until he brought us our check at the end of the meal. Other staff members brought us our food and we had to flag down staff members to get refills of our drinks. To drink, my husband had coffee and I had strawberry kiwi mimosas. The coffee was fresh and hot. The mimosas were balanced, light, and refreshing. To eat, my husband had the Salmon Benedict, I had the Crab Benedict (special of the day which the server said they didn't have until I showed him the menu), and we split the Biscuits and Gravy. The Salmon Benedict was flavorful and filling. The salmon was slightly overcooked but that was easily overlooked because of the good taste. This Benedict came with potatoes that were cooked with onions and peppers. The potatoes were lukewarm at best, and were not edible due to the large amount of salt used on them. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was loaded with sausage and heavily seasoned. It did come out ice cold which was super sad as we have always loved the Biscuits and Gravy here. I had the Crab Benedict (special of the day which the server said they didn't have until I showed him the menu). This was a hot mess and cold. The dish was very sloppily put together. The poached eggs were tossed on the side not even on the top, one was extremely hard boiled and the other was broken. The hollandaise was more on the plate than the Benedict itself. The menu stated I got a choice of sides, but when I asked my server for the soup, he said there were no options and it came as is (with hash browns). When I showed him the menu just shrugged and walked away and didn't return until he dropped off the check at the end of our stay. I didn't touch the hashbrowns, but my husband had one bite before spitting them into his napkin because they were ice cold and extremely soggy. I will say the flavors in my crab Benedict were on point, which made me even more sad that so much was wrong with my plate. We have always enjoyed Eves Eatery and completely understand how busy Mother's Day can be for restaurants, however, being here to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Mother's Day was a complete letdown with the cold food, plates that were a disgustingly gross hot mess, a MIA server, and drink refills being a huge struggle. After this experience, we probably will take a break from here for a bit before returning and trying again.

Tonight we came out to Js for my husband's birthday…read more The restaurant was clean, dimly lit, and fairly loud. Our waitress was good but not one of our favorites. Our waters were never filled and our non-alcoholic beverage drinkers were never checked on to see if their drinks were ok/wanted something else/need anything. She also only checked on us 1x right after the food was dropped off to see if we needed freshly ground pepper and not again until it was time for desert and the check. For appetizers we had the Thai Scallops and the special Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus. The Thai Scallops are one of our go-tos and they were good; however, they were pretty heavily breaded tonight. The Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus was good but was hard to eat and could have used a bit more cooking. For my main I had the linguine and clams. I was HIGHLY disappointed in this tonight. The noodles were delicious and beautifully done but the "sauce" was nothing but pasta water. There was flavor: no garlic, no butter, no clams-no flavor whatsoever. The clams were also macerated as if someone chewed them up and spit them in the dish for me. My husband had the ribeye with gorgonzola butter and polenta. Everything was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly but his chunk of butter (his favorite) was so frozen it never melted-even by the end of the meal. For desert, my husband had the bread pudding and we had the crème brûlée. My husband said the bread pudding was good but slightly dry and cold. The crème brûlée was horrible. We sent it back and got "oh sorry someone new made them-big fail" and laughing. The brûlée was not even close to being set so it was pure liquid. It wasn't even a consistent temperature. After years of loving eating at Js and celebrating milestones here it makes me sad to see how quality is slipping.

I will say right off that the service was excellent. The wine we ordered was a Red Zinfandel , it was quite good. We considered an appetizer, but felt it would be filling and be too much since we were set on desert after our meal. So anyway, on to our meals. My friend had basically decided that she was going to order the Calamari steak, not commonly found on a lot of menus. She ordered the Calamari Piccata ( they have a choice of three different ways ). She chose the one done in a lemon caper sauce served over pasta with vegetable which was Zucchini and yellow squash, really great job on this vegetable, cooked perfectly, better than any I've had elsewhere. She gave me a taste of the calamari steak and I must say it was yummy. I ordered the ravioli three ways, meat, cheese and spinach and I chose it with an Alfredo sauce, the other choice was bolognese and I honestly wish I had chosen it instead of the Alfredo. Very rich sauce and I'm not convinced the ravioli tasted homemade, but I finished every last one of the ravioli. Oh, I forgot a salad was served before and it was one of the best Caesar salads I've tasted, rich and flavorful. We finished our meals and ordered two deserts which we shared. The tiramisu and the crème brûlée. Both very good, but the tiramisu was topped off with chocolate and whipped cream which added too much to the already rich desert . The Crème Brûlée we decided was our favorite. Overall, we had a nice meal and the staff was very nice and attended us very well. So, if ever in Dayton try this great spot, J's Old Town Bistro.

What I received was an amazing blend of super tender pork in a slightly sweet but tangy BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, and a perfectly cooked (not hard or dry), very generously sized potato (big enough for two). On a chilly day, when you're hungry, this absolutely fits the bill. Warming and savory, but well balanced, and not greasy. After some bowling or billiards? Perfect. I was thinking this was probably the best flavor, when I saw the rotating ad for....a spaghetti potato pie. Will have to come back and try other varieties. The cashier was very helpful and patient explaining the menu. Checked the website and looks like they update the menu with new options too. They say they're "dedicated to perfecting the art of the baked potato," and they're doing exactly that. Along with it, they're also serving up one of the best craft-style fountain sodas, Stubborn Soda. Don't hesitate to make a little detour (or order delivery) to try this place. They told us not to order over the phone, only online. OK, fine, but it seems like you shouldn't turn away business just because we used a phone. We got our order placed online instead. My wife received a confirmation email and then an email saying our order was ready for pickup. She arrived at the restaurant, and the lady working said she had never gotten an order and hadn't started on it. So my wife waited for the food to be prepared and finally got it home. The food was good. The mac and cheese potato is really good. The mac and cheese was a star. The shepherd's pie was ok, but a little shy on the meat and needed some more seasoning. At least the portions are large, and you'll likely be able to split an order into two meals unless you're super hungry. The inside of this place is small and located inside the bowling alley building. Nothing special about the ambiance. Takeout is probably the way to go. This place should be 3 stars. However, I am going to cut a little slack and assume it was a one-off experience. So for this review, I am sticking with 4 stars. When I return, I hope the food is up to par, and the service improves. I would love to write a 5-star review for this small local business.

We were told that the chef was on vacation. Should have just left then. Then after being seated and given menus, they came and took them back and gave us this paper revised menu since the head chef was out. Our actual waitress was Chelsea and she was fantastic. If not for her, I would give 0 stars if possible. The restaurant itself we really did not get to see much as we were tucked away in the 1st dining area by the entrance. No worries. It was nice and quaint inside and that's about where it stopped!! I asked about bread, and a different lady brought us 2 rolls that were barely room temp. Basically went from bag to bowl. We ordered our prime rib medium. As anything over that gets tough. We also ordered it with broccoli and when it arrived it had inedible asparagus. I mean they were so fibrous we could barely cut through them. Chelsea apologized and brough us out some broccoli on the side, and just like the rolls, it was barely room temp. Not her fault by no means. Now onto the very overly cooked prime rib. There was 0 pink in it. It was well done and very tough. It was also barely 1/4 inch thick. I mean the thinnest prime rib I have ever seen for supposedly being a 9oz. I have had 8oz at other restaurants twice the size of what we were served.. I managed to cut a couple pieces for my husband to eat. I dd not eat any of it. Basically we sent the majority of it back when we left. The only plus thing about this visit was the mashed potatoes and gravy. Still luke warm at best. I ate about 3 bites of food and was done with it. It was the worst prime rib I have ever seen/tasted in my life. Now Chelsea went and got our receipt for us, which of course was no charge, but if it was, I would have never paid 22.99 for what we received. It was that bad. Chelsea apologized several times and like we told her, you do not control what comes out on these plates. So yes she did get a nice cash tip for being such a sweet waitress and trying to do what she could. As far as the restaurant, we will not be going back for anything there. It is also only open Friday and Saturday from 4-close. I came home and made a sandwich for my now late dinner!
