I've been to Eve's twice now. The first time I had the cacio e pepe, which was very tasty. Eve's makes their pasta from scratch and you can really taste the difference. This time around I got the Mother Earth salad which was incredible. It's what prompted me to leave this review. The puree and the giant ball of burrata and honey vinaigrette is an insane combo. Returned with my teenage son & hubby. The Bloody Mary was great, and not overpriced. Carnitas tacos...yum! Loved the single tortillas that were cooked just right so they held together....hmmmm, and pickled red onion. My hubby wanted a light meal, so ordered the regular sized oxtail soup. He loved it, but wished it was in a bigger bowl. Picking meat off bones requires a little more real estate. The teen's burger was to die for; so much flavor from the patty. Made a reservation for a Father's Day dinner for 7 people. Have tried this place once before and was impressed so we were very excited for this. It was an absolute disappointment from beginning to end. They were more focused getting food out to their booth outside for some event rather than taking care of their customers. It took them 10 minutes just to take our drink orders, the waitress had no idea what the specials were. We waited an hour and 15 minutes with hungry kids just to receive inedible, cold and bland food. Definitely not going back!!!!!!! read more

I am truly baffled by how many people seem to have accepted that to have "fresh" food made, you must expect 1hr+ wait times. Or that the food justifies those long wait times! The business model of this place is just ineffective and inefficient. We once walked in to be seated, the restaurant had plenty of open tables, and we got told they didn't have tables open and we'd have to wait like 30 minutes. We were like, oh! What about all those open tables...? And the hostess clarified that they can't actually fill the place to capacity because the wait times would be too long/it would overwhelm the staff. I've been to Eves several times, and the food is generally good. They have a cheesecake French toast that I really enjoyed! But it is not worth waiting an hour for. The longest I've waited at Eve's was actually over an hour and a half!! There is NO reason it should take that long to prepare our food, made fresh or not. I guess if people have never worked in the restaurant industry (or ever prepared food before), they don't realize that is just not normal or sustainable. I think people like this place because of the "vibe" and how Instagrammable it is (photo op spots included), which is fine. It's cute! But if you want yummy breakfast in a timely manner, Carson City has plenty of options that will suit your needs. read more

I had Huevos Rancheros which was so good, and different since it was on a crispy tostada, flavorful nonetheless! My mom had Cacio e Pepe made with their home made pasta and it was also a wonderfully portioned dish with rich flavor as well. My Papa had the cheesesteak and let me be super clear, it was AMAZING! I have had cheesesteak all over the country and, yes to my Philly friends, this one stands on its own. I just love the decor and lighting inside. Service is always good, waiters/waitresses have been nothing but friendly every visit. Food can take quite awhile to come out but you can tell it's made fresh, so I won't complain! Food is always amazing, steak is cooked just how I like it. Handmade pasta filled with tasty short rib (Agnolotti), you can't go wrong! The garlic bread does cost extra but it's worth it, in my opinion. Deliciously garlicky and cheesy. The chambongs are a little awkward in my opinion but they're fun if you show up with the right group of people! Lol. Yummy brunch at Eve's in Carson City. First visit but won't be my last. I had the Hangover breakfast and my friend had the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. Everything was great. Portions are generous - we both had to-go boxes. Score for breakfast tomorrow. The place was pretty full but the noise level was reasonable. We could easily keep chatting. What a cute place! The restaurant is easy to find right on the corner of Telegraph. The door to enter has pretty flowers and that theme holds within the venue. Nice lighting. Bright and airy. The staff was very friendly and sat me quickly and took my order st a nice pace. I had lunch here and decided on a salad, Mother Earth, which was delicious in all the right ways. I added grilled chicken too and it was cooked perfectly. I am traveling for business but if I lived up here I would definitely come in for brunch.
