What a cute place! The restaurant is easy to find right on the corner of Telegraph. The door to enter has pretty flowers and that theme holds within the venue. Nice lighting. Bright and airy. The staff was very friendly and sat me quickly and took my order st a nice pace. I had lunch here and decided on a salad, Mother Earth, which was delicious in all the right ways. I added grilled chicken too and it was cooked perfectly. I am traveling for business but if I lived up here I would definitely come in for brunch. I've been here on several occasions and always suggest this restaurant when asked for recommendations! Let me start by saying the inside of the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! I just love the decor and lighting inside. Service is always good, waiters/waitresses have been nothing but friendly every visit. Food can take quite awhile to come out but you can tell it's made fresh, so I won't complain! Food is always amazing, steak is cooked just how I like it. Handmade pasta filled with tasty short rib (Agnolotti), you can't go wrong! The garlic bread does cost extra but it's worth it, in my opinion. Deliciously garlicky and cheesy. The chambongs are a little awkward in my opinion but they're fun if you show up with the right group of people! Lol. This is such a cute place an the food is unexpectedly incredible! I am visiting my parents and this was where my Papa wanted to go for his birthday. It was great because we were between a breakfast and lunch period, well known as brunch, but it doesn't seem that would have mattered. I had Huevos Rancheros which was so good, and different since it was on a crispy tostada, flavorful nonetheless! My mom had Cacio e Pepe made with their home made pasta and it was also a wonderfully portioned dish with rich flavor as well. My Papa had the cheesesteak and let me be super clear, it was AMAZING! I have had cheesesteak all over the country and, yes to my Philly friends, this one stands on its own. Horrible service! I went there with my mom to have breakfast. They took like 20 minutes for them to come and get our order then they took like 40 minutes to bring our food and it's something that happens every time we go there which we don't mind waiting. But my issue was with the waitress this time. Next to us there was a couple sitting and it look like they were friends with our server. After they brought our food she never came back to check on us and see if we needed anything or if everything was good. But she was having a great and long conversation with the couple sitting next to us. At this point I was really upset because my mom was out of her drink and no one came and check on us. So I got up to ask for boxes and asked for my bill. When I went to pay my bill I mentioned to the girl that helped me with my bill that I assumed the conversation the waitress was having with the other table was more important than checking on her other tables. Yummy brunch at Eve's in Carson City. First visit but won't be my last. I had the Hangover breakfast and my friend had the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. Everything was great. Portions are generous - we both had to-go boxes. Score for breakfast tomorrow. The place was pretty full but the noise level was reasonable. We could easily keep chatting. Met a friend for lunch today and we try not to keep our phones out or I would have added a picture.... I had a simple Caesar's salad with grilled chicken. It was honestly the best Caesar's dressing I've ever tasted, the lettuce was crispy and fresh and the grilled chicken was seriously the most tender flavorful juicy grilled piece of chicken I've ever eaten! We went at 11:30 and it was pretty busy. They did seem to have a lot of staff but the service was a little slow. The salad with grilled chicken was $15 so not horrible in today's standards. We heard such good things about this place...! I would love to report it was so, but it was sadly not what other's had propped up the place to be. Maybe it was the particular day, but we patiently waited for a seat. There were four or more tables ready to seat guests, but the hostess was pretty inexperienced and overwhelmed with us and the three people that came in after us. Couldn't focus. Couldn't accomplish simple tasks without a visible struggle. Once seated, she said she'd clean the table in just a moment. 15 minutes later she was back to do so; we still didn't have menus, water, silverware or anything yet... we were about to leave ten minutes later and finally our server, Natoshae, arrived to ask if we wanted any drinks. Taking our golden opportunity here, we ordered everything at once. The drinks took another ten minutes to get to us :-/ the food another 30 minutes. Nothing. Happened. Fast. Anyway the food was okay, but took another 20 minutes to see our server and remind her we were still missing items from our order. Toast & English muffins were delivered cold 10 minutes later. Needless to say, not impressed. We've had much better service down the street at Squeeze In and Mom & Pop's diner. Honestly not worth a second try for us. The hangover is thick sliced pancetta, a fried egg, arugula and a semi hot pepper aioli. The complementing hash browns were perfectly crisp. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast and I noticed a pasta bar on the way out. You can order fresh homemade pasta paired with a sauce for 2 or 4 servings and the pasta looked phenomenal. The staff is very attentive and they get you your food fairly quick even if they are busy! I have to say, the food and service here are exceptional. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. I'm on low carb so didn't eat the risotto but my companions said it was bland. My daughter ordered the gluten free pepperoni pizza which was astoundingly good - apparently they make their gf dough on site (which is extremely rare). My mom ordered the smoked salmon toast and it was good! A decent sized serving and very satisfying. My stepdad got the OMG sandwich which was mind blowing and the fries were decent too. I just think that they are too expensive and high headed for me. Portion are smallish, service can be slow. I went in for the food rather than cocktails. It's not fine dining but it wants to be. A couple more good servers and simplified menu could sure save this place. As it is, tasty, but slow and expensive, with a bizarre paper flower decor that just makes me shake my head. I sure wish these folks well but I think they need to retool or risk failing. Loved the short rib ravioli but I could live without the reliance on micro greens. It's Carson City for pity sake. We got the Mother Earth salad, the salmon entree and the oxtail soup. Every dish was fresh and flavorful and had me literally dancing with joy. The sauces on the salad and salmon were so yum and the soup broth was flavorful. Combined, we got a bit of everything with this meal and the only thing missing was some pasta (our next adventure). We were greeted nicely when we entered and promptly sat down. We received water and a bread service with some homemade hummus on it. We looked at the cocktails and the wine list which were rather lacking. There were not very many offers of wine and it was on a pretty low scale. We ordered the appetizer octopus and a Stromboli the octopus was cooked to perfection. It was tender and had spectacular flavor. The Stromboli was also done very well. We then ordered our dinners which consisted of two short red stuffed ravioli, entrées one chicken Alfredo, and one spinach, fettuccine all the food was very tasty and good. The food came out quickly. The restaurant started to fill up a little bit, but there were only still a few of us in there on a Saturday night at 5:30 we were finished with everything by 615 and ordered a toffee cake dessert to split. It took almost 25 minutes to come out. It was crusty dry and almost seem like syrup had been spilled over the top of it. I would never order that again. Otherwise we'll give this place a chance again as some of the food was good, but I would hope that the food and beverage team looks a little bit more into their wine offerings and some of their cocktail offerings to give people more options. read more
