This place is a Carson city gem! My first time going and will not be my last. The food was so delicious, I would describe it more of an upscale foodie place however the prices were very reasonable. We got seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. They are only open for breakfast and brunch. The service took about 20 minutes from when we ordered to food being served but the food is made fresh. Everything sounded good but I opted for the chilaquiles with green sauce which did not disappoint. Being an Arizona native, I have found it hard to find good Mexican food but these chilaquiles made me feel like I was home. Honestly such a good addition to the Carson City food options. We had breakfast on our first visit and 10/10 would recommend. My server was a little on edge with making an iced latte, but it came out really good- she rocked it! My boyfriend and I got similar dishes lol but I wanted something that would be filling for my morning. The Zeke omelette was a great choice, and the hash browns were perfectly crispy. The ambiance is relaxed and cool, the music is subtle in the background and not too noisy. The decor of the place really complimented the layout and the wall of flowers was hard not to look at lol In the back is the pasta station. I haven't had the pasta but I feel like it would be super tasty. You can get the kit to go (I think) and make it at home with fresh pasta, sauce, protein, and a salad. My husband and I went in on their first Saturday for breakfast after reading of their recent opening. We went in with an open mind that things might not be as smooth as they could be due to their recent opening. The only small hiccups were a bit of wait for our food and I wish they would have come around to fill up our coffee and check in more often. I am confident these improvements will be made with time. The staff was attentive and Eve did ask for our feedback after breakfast. That is classy and promising for success! The decor is warm and welcoming! My wife and I used to love this place a weekend spot but over the past 8 months or so this place has really gone down hill in service and quality in food. Our last visit not only did a couple get sat after us the also got service first which is okay. But when when you get no re fills in water or anything or asked. The last straw was when we finally got our food. Oxtail soup a breakfast plate and a chicken sandwich. Soup was great breakfast food was great. But after my wife was two bites in her chicken was completely undercooked to where it had a visible slimy texture. We told the waitress this was raw she took it back and took it off our bill. Excellent from start to finish! My friends & I were visiting Carson City for the afternoon & stopped in for lunch. The staff were all very friendly. Where do you see Oxtail soup on a menu these days? My friend ordered a cup & it was amazing. Next time a bowl. He also had the chicken sandwich & enjoyed it as well. My other friend had the clam chowder served in a bread bowl, also very good. Very bright and inviting, slight wait but we weren't surprised as it was a weekend that we visited. Very clean with a modern edge - coffee was fantastic we ordered the Zeke, French toast and the Banana Brûlée Oats. The French toast was tasty, the Zeke filling and spicy!! The banana brûlée was surprising. Not as expected served on a plate and I think because of that the oats were cold everywhere but directly in the middle where it was the thickest. I thought it was a thoughtful remix on oatmeal with berries but the portion left me hungry when I left. First the food is absolutely amazing. However, every-time we've been there the service is sub par. Theres just not enough staff for the capacity. Theres always a wait for a table. You need to have at least 2hrs or more reserved just to eat here. The food takes a long time to prepare and the waitress hardly ever comes around to fill your drinks. The food is excellent. But, you need to have time. A not busy weekday morning, we were seated and got liquids immediately. We ordered about five minutes later. The food showed up 30 minutes later. The menu warns that food is cooked to order and may take time, that was true. The menu warns that substitutions are not allowed. That proved to be untrue - sourdough toast rather than English muffin was allowed. Waitstaff could not have been better, restrooms were about the cleanest I have ever seen. And, again, food was excellent. Parking, on street, is easy. We had no place to be at a certain time, so wait, although bothersome, was endurable. Wow amazing spot. You blink and you'll miss it, but if you find it, you won't be disappointed. We went on a Saturday and Sunday. Night and day difference. Saturday was busy Sunday, we'll it was Sunday in Carson. The reviews made it hard to decide what to order. First day my husband had stark and eggs. Eggs were fresh, steak cooked perfectly. Potatoes were crisp and full of flavor, and you're probably it's steak and eggs and yes it Can be done wrong. They did well on his dish. I had the pumpkin Nutella pancakes. No syrup needed, they were moist, fluffy, and perfectly spiced. Would have loved more Nutella, maybe layered versus just on the top pancake. Sunday we went back my husband hand biscuits and gravy. It was just okay. The biscuits did not appear to be homemade and the gravy was lacking seasoning. I had the apple cinnamon toast, it was okay. It would have been better if the apples were diced and not strips. The lemon marscapone was light but lacking actual lemon taste, maybe if they're doing a deconstructed version of an apple pie, it needs to be flavor forward, I want to know I'm eating tart apples and having the cleansing lemon. The toast was perfectly cooked, light. I know they've only been open 9 months but they need to dial up the flavors, wait times for food, and if it's going to take longer because it's all truly made to order food, then the staff needs to understand their part better, no waiting on refills, water, coffee to deter from the long waits. I think if they fine tune their system, they'll be okay. But to many errors will cause people to not comeback. It will be a one and done. My husband had the omg sandwich, which was really good. I had the tomato basil soup with grilled cheese and prosciutto, the soup was good, but the prosciutto was cut too thick which made it inedible... I ended up picking it out and just having the grilled cheese. I think I chose the only bad item on the menu. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and all the meals they were serving other customers looked beautiful. We ordered a fair portion of menu items including: oxtail soup, garlic bread, huevos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, banana brûlée oats, Philly cheesesteak, pasta and the OMG. I wouldn't order the oxtail soup again. It was not great compared to other soups I've had in the area. The biscuits and gravy weren't for me. The gravy tasted like it had too much milk or cream or something. The biscuits weren't great. Talk the other food was great. The cheesesteak was one of the best I've ever had. We are so excited about this restaurant opening in Carson City, as we desperately needed something new! The food was delicious! We greatly enjoyed the queso tacos made with barbacoa. They were full of flavor! As was the OMG chicken sandwich. They have a fresh pasta bar for take-home meals. We can't wait to try that. Eves Eatery just became my go to for biscuits and gravy... and I am a self proclaimed biscuit and gravy snob. While I have certainly enjoyed other places B&G.. Eves tops all with fresh made from scratch, light, moist delicious biscuits and smooth, creamy gravy that is not even the slightest bit salty. It is perfectly balanced in flavor and consistency that makes every bite a symphony to the taste buds. I only regret, now, not getting gravy across the eggs and hash browns. Next time Eve, next time. I am not too much into hash browns, but these were crispy and delightful tasty. If you too are a B&G lover.. you really need to go to Eves. read more

New place in town, so we always wait a bit to let them work the kinks out. Finally came here for breakfast a few weeks ago. The decor is almost the same as when it was Gather, which is fine, it's a nice place. The place was packed, but we got in pretty quickly. Husband ordered the Zeke omelet and really enjoyed it. I had the Hangover sandwich and it was AMAZING. The Porchetta was a giant piece and the sauce was awesome. The only downfall of this visit was the service. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food. But, given the quality, we were willing to overlook it. Then, we found out that they were hosting a wine pairing dinner a week later. Quickly bought tickets with us and 8 of our friends. The place was decorated beautifully and the menu was amazing. It was a small group (30?) and we all truly enjoyed every course. Kudos to this family for working to improve and figure things out. Waited until the hullabaloo was over. Happy we did. Came in around tenish for brekkie. I ordered the red velvet waffle with two eggs. Mahvelous! Especially the candied walnuts! Right Brain ordered the chicken and waffles. Very good but the chicken was a bit dry for my taste. But he loved it! Priced right. The interior is light filled , polished, comfortable. Found this gem on our vacation and all I can say is wow. The environment is very quaint and comfortable, right in the heart of downtown Carson City. Our waitress Rosie was very accommodating and our food was absolutely delicious. The only downside I really saw was the price of the fruit bowl (~$9?!) BUT the quality of fruit was very good, and I had to ask the waitress if I could add veggies to my eggs which wasn't originally an option on their menu. However, they accommodated to my requests with no issues. They also had the best biscuits and gravy I've had in a restaurant. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone. read more
