It was dinner time and I was driving around when I saw Raising Cane's without a crowd. I decided it…read morewas time to try them out. It is a tiny parking lot. And you cannot leave on Sunset..... And there is a drive thru.... So be careful entering the lot. You may get stuck for a bit. I went in and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Could be the good food, could be the staff and the wonderful service they provide. Could be the clean restaurant. Or maybe all of the above. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly and helped me decide what I should order. I ended up with The Box, minus a drink. I do not drink soda, and it was too late to be drinking tea. The chicken was good, not greasy. Very moist and full of flavor. The sauce is good, like a spicy thousand island, kind of. The coleslaw was good. Packed away in a little container but really packed in.... The fries were ok. Could have been hotter, crisper, more seasoned, etc, but they were not bad. The Texas toast was ok. Light and airy, a little buttery. It did not need the toast, but it was nice for a variety of things to be nibbling on. It was a fair price for good food. I have my favorite fried chicken places here in LA,  but this is not bad and I will probably go again at some point.

I'll take toaster oven chicken fingers over this place any time. For a single-item restaurant,…read moreyou'd expect them to be really good at it, but no. This place is 100% hype. If I wasn't starving, I'd have tossed it. Customer service was ok; competent, but not warm. If you want bland fried chicken, chick-fil-a is across the street. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a fast food joint. Save you money, grab some toaster oven chicken fingers instead.

For me, it's the chili that turns me off as I am not a fan of this food at all. Growing up, my family always made it with kidney beans which I don't eat, so I always thought chili was made with these (obviously learned later this was not the case). When a friend was craving Tommy's, I finally caved in to try it for myself. For this visit, I went for the #4 California cheeseburger with fries and a medium drink. I had a little trouble understanding the staff but once we were on the same page, everything was good. This was not bad; fries were decent and the burger was a big one. My first meal at Tommy's wasn't bad. Friend was raving about their strawberry milkshake so I returned later on my own for a chocolate one. Wasn't sure if this was the kind I can't stand (vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup instead of chocolate ice cream) but I finished it. Glad Tommy's isn't too far, and after a couple visits, I may add it into my rotation-

When I saw Angus over at bingo flappin' her gums about tryin' the strawberry dubia cup, I knew right then and there I had to see what all the fuss was about... and I sure as sugar went to the best spot to do it. I got myself the dubia strawberry cup and a beef shawarma. And baby -- that shawarma was finger-lickin' good, I mean the kind of good that makes you close your eyes and thank the Lord. The dubia strawberry cup? Delicious too, don't get me wrong. Now I know what you're thinkin' -- "Nina, then why in the world is this only four stars?" Well I'll tell you why, sweetheart. Because that little ol' dub strawberry cup costs TWENTY DOLLARS for about five strawberries and a prayer. That's robbery with a smile. The shawarma, though, was priced just fine at thirteen bucks -- I was full after five bites, and that don't happen by accident at my age. But twenty dollars for a handful of strawberries? I wasn't born yesterday, just before nonsense. Still, I marched right back into bingo loud and proud and told Angus I spent twenty dollars on dubia strawberries -- which means I clearly have more money than her, 'cause she probably found hers in the trash. So I reckon that's a win-win. All in all, it's a great place -- tasty as can be, just a bit overpriced. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll be skip-pin' the dubia strawberry and keepin' my dignity (and my wallet) intact.

It has tables with chairs and barstool seating inside and tables covered by large umbrellas outside. The restaurant is very brightly lit due to all of the windows. Upon entering we headed to the counter to place our order. There was a menu that we could look at. While deciding what we wanted we were met by a person working. She took our order, we paid, and found a place to sit. We waited about 10 minutes and then our order was called. My husband then brought it to our table on trays. For my meal I ordered the Astro Burger no cheese. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, signature sauce, and I added mustard. With my meal I got a side of onion rings and feta cheese fries. The burger was good. You could definitely taste the charbroiled meat and the signature sauce added flavor. The onion rings were really good. They had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. The fries with feta cheese were good. The fries were a good size, had a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The feta cheese on top gave the fries flavor. Overall Astro Burger has plenty of seating inside and outside, a variety of food to choose from, and the food was good.
