    DC Chicken Salad on Croissant
    Carlo G.

Solid bakery café, but confusing online ordering. I'm apart of the Corner Bakery Café rewards program and I was offered a free chicken salad voucher. It was a bit confusing to navigate the app to apply the reward, but with a bit of help from customer service I was able to do it. I scheduled to pickup my order in advance. However, upon arriving to the location I ordered at, the location did not receive my order. The staff were confused, but I showed them my order confirmation which showed the time and location accurately. It took the staff a while to investigate, but eventually they went ahead and prepared my order. They were overall nice about it. The chicken salad sandwich was decent. The chicken salad was good, but nothing special. I liked the croissant buns, but it would've been a lot better if there were warm, fresh, and buttery. The buns seemed a bit old. The best was the chocolate candy cookie. The cookie was moist and the candy provided a nice crisp. It was delicious.

As soon as I walked in.

Went for lunch around 2 pm, the restaurant looked like a disaster. I ordered my panini and Caesar salad and listened to a crying baby with the mother on her computer. The baby never stopped crying the 20 min. I was there. There wasn't any care making this meal and there were at least 3 people in the kitchen and not busy. The food was sad and only 1/2 the sandwich had most the ingredients but was missing the pesto and basil on both halves. One half had roasted tomatoes and spinach, the other half hardly any meat or ingredients listed. I also got harassed by a homeless woman asking for money with her hands out. There is going to have to be a change in the Manager and employees or this restaurant is going to go out of business. The baby cried the entire time and none of the employees said anything to the woman. Caesar salad was warm not cold! Very disappointing!

TAKE OUT FROM CORNER BAKERY BEVERLY CONNECTION

The last 3 weeks. Our West Hollywood neighbors went to support this location, Saturday night, at 5;00 to 9:00, they had one employee at the counter, our food came 40 minutes late, & was cold, & we waited to get back to complain they told us the kitchen was closed, also, ON Saturday March 7. We waited a half hour to get lemonade & the we waited to see Mgr. to complained , the staff yelled at us to get away from the counter& get in line& were, very rude to its loyal customers. So today we are reaching out to Mall Mgt. To close this location. They are not what it used to be. Please stay away from his location, they treat loyal customers like trash.

This is always my go-to spot when I come shopping at the Beverly Connection. Benita was incredibly kind and helped me with a credit for a previous order that was incorrect. I really appreciate her customer service. The Southwest Chicken Salad was delicious, and the Passion Fruit Lemonade was so tasty that I should have ordered a bigger cup! Keep in mind that they don't offer validated parking, so plan accordingly. They have a great selection of bakery sweets and coffee options, with plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. Next time you're out shopping around make sure you stop by.

Nice spot for quick eats but won't be confused with gourmet restaurant.

Parking is horrible but it's a nice option to have when you go shopping. Lot's of space and decent environment.

Terrible experience. It took about 35 mjnutes to get our food, you would think you were at a michelin restaurant. By the way they microwaved my "panini" lol. Just to top it off this is the "fruit cup" they gave me.

Great comfort food, good prices, good people busy at service. The place is clean and quiet just the way we like it.

The strawberry lemonade is AMAZING. I usually don't like lemonade because it's too sweet but this has a nice mix of water with it as well. Super refreshing for the summer. The service was quick as well, totally appreciated the environment and fast service. Thanks!

Their portion is too small. They are smaller than kid's meal. Check the reviews posted recently. I see others mention the same problem.

Loved my Americano coffee at this spot!

Hangari Kalguksu is doing really well for themselves! It is good to see. There have been so many changes, but I am not a fan of the changes. What was once meticulously fresh prepared side dishes are now generic looking out of a jar side dishes. They have started to feature more things and have expanded their menu, as well as expanded their shop so that it is much bigger. Still packed! Parking is still valet and a hassle. The waiters and waitresses now speak perfect english, which was nice. Kalguksu is still very good. Overall, it feels more commercial than homely now. As a commercial restaurant, it is good. However, not a place I would travel for anymore. I can get this experience from most local spots. I am keeping this review at a 5 star, because it still is worthy of a 5 star. However, it is a lesser 5 star than 13 years ago.

Parking is always a pain in Ktown, but they offer valet for around $5, which makes things a lot easier. This time we ordered the Pork Belly + Jowl Bossam Combo (Large), and I have to say the jowl was the star of the meal. It was super tender and even better than the pork belly. They give you everything you need to make your own wraps. We also got the Budae Army Kalguksu, and the portion was huge. If you're a fan of army stew, this was fire. It came loaded with Spam, sausage, cheese, and plenty of their knife cut noodles. This place gets pretty busy, so expect a wait during peak hours. Even with a full restaurant, the service was still friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come back for the bossam, and next time I want to try more of their other kalguksu dishes .

I recall attempting to visit here once at 7pm on a weekday, but immediately walking away because of how busy it was. My expectations for Asian food are quite high since I grew up in the SGV, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Joy! Dan Dan Noodles: Amazing noodle texture with very rich, flavorful peanut sauce. Is it not spicy and sweeter compared to traditional Sichuan versions of Dan Dan Noodles. I would pair this with the chili sauce for that extra kick. Braised Pork Rice: This particular dish did not stand out to me, but I have seen other great reviews about it so maybe it was just an off-day. The flavors were a little bland and it simply did not stand out to me. There are definitely better braised pork rices out in the SGV. Thousand Layer Pancake with Egg & Cheese: So packed with flavor while the outside was nicely flaky. It did not feel overly greasy whatsoever and I loved the inclusion of melted cheese. Hakka Mochi: The mochis did not have any filling inside of them, but they were overflowing (in a good way) with black sesame and peanut powder on top of it. They were so warm, chewy, and moist!

It was nice that they gave us a separate table card for our dessert that we could display when we were ready for it. Thousand Layer Pancake with egg and cheese: Nice and flaky, good flavors, good size for sharing, my favorite dish that night. Scallion Bread Sandwich with five spice beef: Nice flavors and generous amount of filling, but the bread could've been made crisper, as it got soggy from the fillings and fell apart while eating. Chiayi Chicken Rice: This was fine but pretty mild and basic, nothing really stood out about this. Fruit Shaved lce: It looked really nice and had a lot of pineapple and strawberries. The pudding was pretty bland. The ice was the coarse, crunchy kind (not the fluffy, creamy kind). It was big enough to share with 3 or 4 people, though I don't think I'd get it again.

While the broth was tasty, it wasn't cold :( Kind of defeats the purpose, especially when you're waiting in the heat for a table and the room itself was pretty warm. Banchan was pretty limited as well, with just two Kim chi types and cucumbers with samjang. The highlight might have been the ribs, which are not LA style but full bone. The bulgogi was pretty tasty as well, but serving was really small and the daengjang soup not all that great. Loved the purple rice though! I do like that they offer free tea, but is offset with the charging of to go boxes :). I realize it's only $0.50, but it did keep me from ordering an extra dish which would have guaranteed the need for containers. Thankfully we only needed three :). Parking is valet only and the place was packed even though we chose an off peak time of 2:00pm. $3 isn't bad, but even valet had a hard time keeping up so keep parking in mind when visiting.
