Delicious! Had the Shawarma Lamb box and the beef kabobs. Both were very flavorful and the meat was tender. Definitely worth trying!

The restaurant has a really homey feeling inside, with about four small tables that make it feel cozy and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. My partner and I ordered the chicken shish kebabs with mejadra rice, salad, and sumac fries. Everything was delicious! The plate also came with hummus and pita, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hummus was smooth, rich, and perfect with the warm pita. Hermon helped recommend our food, cooked it, and even served us. She was so kind and made the whole experience feel really personal. She also offered us complimentary baklava, which was amazing. It had the most soft, chewy texture with just enough sweetness. When I asked her what the secret ingredient was, she just smiled and said she couldn't spoil it so you'll have to try it for yourself! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Only note for next time: I'll ask for it a little more well-done (just personal preference... I like my chicken with a little extra bite ). The eggplant caviar was solid and a generous portion, but the real standout? The Caesar wrap. It completely lived up to the hype -- bold, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I almost ordered a second one to take home. Also worth mentioning: the son of the owner who took my order was super friendly and had great customer service, even with a long line. He kept things moving while still being engaging, which I appreciated. I was excited to hear they're opening a Studio City location -- I'll definitely be back. This place is a must. The soltani kabob was to die for; the flavors in the beef barg and koobideh were so rich and cooked to perfection. The mastery of these dishes was absolutely on display. The mast moosir was a great creamy and savory side dish to complement the entrees. I HAD to get the tahdig (crispy rice) too! I also had a bit of the lamb shank which was really flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the baghali polo. The yogurt soda was a bit of an acquired taste for me, but I'm happy to have tried it for the full experience. We finished off our delicious meal with a floral and sweet Persian ice cream wafer sandwich. The portions were enormous, so we left feeling full with leftovers to look forward to! We came on a lively weekday evening. They don't do reservations, but we were warmly greeted and quickly seated with lavash and butter on our table immediately. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, with hybrid indoor/outdoor courtyard dining. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could!

Shamshiri Grill made last Monday's dine at home with friends' my turn to host luncheon a most…read moredelicious experience. In my mind, work/time constraints prevented a Monday order. Plan ahead me called in the following for delivery last Sunday. So, what could possibly be ordered, remain fresh 24-hours later? I chose vegan/vegetarian sides/appetizers: Baba Ganoush - I've made it but Shamshiri Grill's is SO much better; creamy, perfectly seasoned. Hummus - Again, can DIY but why? Shamshiri Grill's is yum, pure yum, protein packed. Falafel - Balanced ingredients and frying technique is key. Came with a portion of tahini (had some in the pantry just in case). Should have ordered more falafel. Never gonna make this at home again, ever! Tabuli - Shamshiri Grill's includes the perfect hint of mint along with the parsley and tomatoes. Panir o' Shabiz - All aforementioned are wonderful BUT this, well this, is what I could eat and nothing else. Fresh basil, mint, tomatoes, radishes, sweet white onion, scallions, walnuts, feta, lemon, butter to be consumed with abundant pita bread and sumac provided. My kinda "sandwich"! This, Panir o'Shabiz was the only order I immediately deconstructed to avoid compromising the herbs' and veggies' freshness. Carefully wrapping them in kitchen towels, refrigerated then re-plated and back in the fridge prior to leaving for work after setting the table. Oh, isolated the feta and walnuts too. Everyone at last Monday's gathering is an omnivore with heavy plant-based dietary leanings. BUT, occasionally we stray hence a side each of chicken and beef koobideh (ground seasoned meat cooked kabob style) and grilled tomato, onion, red bell pepper garnish (also available as a side). I divvied each koobideh into bite sized pieces to be shared among three guests. REALLY good, make those tiny bites, REALLY, REALLY good. Everyone arrived, me too, on time to nosh on the veggie offerings as the koobideh and falafel gently warmed in the oven on low. Plenty of convo, cleared the table for tea and dried dates... Shamshiri Grill you and all the staff from chefs to delivery made my gathering a success, many thanks. Note: No recent pics (cameras/phones not allowed at our group's table) but 2017/18 ones reflect what we ate.

The owners and staff have always been kind, welcoming, and consistent throughout the years. You can truly feel the heart behind this place. Thank you, Shamshiri, for being part of my childhood and my family's memories for so many years. This will always be my favorite Persian restaurant in Los Angeles.

I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. The seasoning and spices were on point. Great flavors, the right amount of heat, and something you can't really get elsewhere. My main issue was the quality of meat. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. I would love to see these spices on higher quality meat, that to me would be a 5/5.
