I tried the beef and chicken shawarma wraps from here and both were pretty good! The wraps were crispy and the meat inside was pretty tasty. I also enjoyed the side dipping sauces they came with which added more flavor and creaminess. The fries were crispy and the side veggies were a nice and refreshing element to go alongside the rich and fried foods. However, I came with my friend who's from Poland who grew up with a lot of spots like these and said the shawarma wraps could've been better. She said the meat was pretty dry and wishes the meat was fattier and more flavorful. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a private bathroom. There's a free parking lot nearby or street parking. Regardless, I still enjoyed the shawarma wraps myself. A solid spot if you don't want to wait the line at Miya Miya.
4++ Mediterranean / Middle Eastern halal place located in the Palms/ Culver City area. Ordering or service style is fast casual where you order from a kiosk or the person at the front. It's pretty chill early afternoon, but if can get a bit hectic due to their popularity. Their popularity is primarily due to their chicken shawarma wrap, but they do have some other tasty options on the menu. I did order the chicken shawarma wrap, but I also got some falafel. The falafel was good with good texture and the wrap was great! I was sitting in the outside area because I had a pup with me. But as popular as this place is, it is tough to find a seat sometimes. Parking could get tricky sometimes as well, but I've been pretty lucky.
OG chicken wrap is the way to go. Stopped by Saturday afternoon! Fast casual spot with a tablet to take your order. There were plenty of people seated and eating and a few people in line. Took no longer than 10 minutes to get my order. 10/10 meal.
Phenomenal food! The chicken shawarma is easily my favorite, incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The fries are amazing too, crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and honestly hard to stop eating. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The ambiance is welcoming, so it works just as well for sitting down and enjoying your meal as it does for takeout. My only complaint is that the wait can be very long, so definitely keep that in mind. That said, the food is absolutely worth the wait and keeps me coming back.
Dama Grill- I LOVE you shawarma-ch! As someone who absolutely cannot be compelled to wait in the 2 hour line at Miya Miya, I was recommended Dama Grill as an alternative by several of my friends, and it's 100% worth the hype! I showed up a few minutes after opening, and there was no line + only a 20 minute wait to get my order, which in my opinion, is a win considering my shawarma was prepared fresh to order! I decided to try their chicken combo and spicy chicken shawarma wrap, and I was absolutely BLOWN away by both! The chicken combo featured thick, juicy and flavorful grilled chicken kebabs, pita bread, fries, and pickled vegetables and peppers (although I would probably order the rice combo next time). The shawarma wrap had a grilled, crispy exterior, juicy chicken shawarma slices, as well as one of the most delicious garlic-based aioli sauces I've had, and is a definite MUST-order in my book! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Culver City area (and come early, since I hear they sell out later in the day) for some of the BEST Mediterranean food I've had in west LA!
Food was BUSSIN The chicken was life changing, super soft and tender like it was marinated overnight. Loved their pickled veggies on the side and the fries were freakin good. I would come back just for the fries 100%. Restaurant was very clean, and the staff were friendly, food was ready pretty fast. 10/10 recommend the spicy chicken shawarma, it was spicy with a sweet sauce drizzled on the outside. I read it's molasses's?? It was great paired together. Although it looks thin, it's very long and filling. They also have a hooka bar next to restaurant which I think is part of the same business. Amazing tasting food.
One of the best chicken shawarma and xanders chicken wrap I've ever had! Perfectly smoky and love the seasonings! The red color is also a plus!! The chicken is juicy and not too fatty and they give you a decent amount. The staff is great! They are always filled with lines of people. But definitely worth the drive and the wait! Also great tip to always get some extra molasses and garlic sauce for each bite!
Been dreaming about this wrap ever since we had it! There's not much to say other than this wrap was the best I've had. So much flavor! Fries were really good as well. We drove out to try DAMA GRILL and it was so worth it! Parking in the back, a few tables to sit inside. You order on the iPad at the counter and we got our food pretty quickly. Definitely coming back!

The taste was okay, it was more tortilla and garlic sauce heavy rather than the chicken shawarma itself. The chicken tasted a bit dry as well. Always seen this place on social media so maybe I got it on an off day. Will give it another try again in the future to see if it's better.
Really excited to try out Dama Grill. Parking is limited but they have several adjacent streets with parking available. I ordered a chicken shawarma combo with fries, garlic sauce, and pickled veggies. The shawarma was juicy, sauced well, and cut into bite size pieces. Wish it was more than just one bite per piece but I understand this is how it's usually made. The sauce was nice and garlicky, and the pickled veggies gave the shawarma a good kick of acidity. And the fries were fresh and crispy. Definitely a solid shawarma restaurant.
The place is very nice, there are some spacious outdoor seating options as well as a few indoor seating options. The place was not that full at the time we went but it did take them quite a while to get our food out. I had a chicken wrap, a beef wrap and another spicy chicken wrap. All together it was about 50 dollars with no additional drinks or sides. All together it was three large wraps which was enough for two people. In my opinion a bit too expensive. The sauces were pretty good. I loved the creamy garlic. The beef wrap was my least favorite. The parsley and cucumber did add to the freshness but the meat felt too dry and not very flavorful. The chicken wrap was carried by the delicious sauces which made it much more juicy and flavorful. The spicy chicken one was also really good. I would definitely order that one again. The baklava was delicious too. The chicken wraps are definitely delicious but for the price and the long wait times I wouldn't make this my first choice. If you have the money and you have the time you are in for a delicious treat.
I've never seen such a horrible restaurant so overly hyped. This place is an embarrassment to Syrian food. I waited almost 30 minutes for ONE shawarma combo. Service is so slow, disorganized and customer interaction or rapport is nonexistent For almost $29, $19.69 to be exact, you would think there would be at least minimum effort put into the food. Nope. The only good thing about the combo plate were the fries and the crispy saj. That's it. Everything else was horrendous. The chicken was bland, dry, and not made like any half decent shawarma. The toum is full of mayo and so greasy and grossly wet. They "cut" the shawarma but don't even bother cutting it all the way so it becomes more of a mess when you try tearing apart the pieces and all the filling just squeezes out. They also forgot the pomegranate molasses. Seriously? I would never recommend this garbage

Wow this place is sooo good!! It definitely lives up to the hype!! We tried the famous chicken shawarma wraps and it was delicious. I asked for extra pomegranate drizzle on the side and it paired so well with the garlic sauce and the wrap. The chicken was juicy and packed in there, and the crisp on the wrap was a nice touch. The fries were good too! You order on a kiosk and the wait was around 10-15 minutes since they make it to order. There's a few tables inside and outside to eat. The service is friendly and quick. I came here after hearing great things about Dama Grill from my friends, and I was so excited to try crispy shawarma. There is a parking lot in the back, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating here, pretty spacious. You order on a kiosk, and it took about ten minutes before we got our wraps. We sat inside to eat, and our wraps were delicious! I love the sauces they gave us too, one was toum and the other was a more sesame flavored (?). We got both the chicken and beef, but the beef won by far. It was juicy and flavored well! read more

Looking for shawarma in the Palms area near Culver City? This is your spot! It's been years since the last time I had some tasty shawarma. The chicken is juicy and tender, just perfect for every bite! Both the chicken shawarma and the chicken kebab are delicious. Be sure to order some fries too. I also got the falafel plate that comes with six pieces, however I found these to be a bit dry for me; I wish they were juicy. Service can be slow, depending on how busy it is. My first time here, I had to wait for 45 minutes after placing my order. The place was popping! Then my second time here, they had already sold out. Needless to say, Dama is a popular and tasty place, so plan ahead. read more

Tik Tok and IG got me for Sustenance Saturday, and since I was in the area, driving by and most importantly found parking, I decided to stop. There are about 4-5 casual tables inside, and more covered patio seating outside. Outside was full, inside had availability. There wasn't much of a line when I arrived late afternoon, and there was quite a line when I left maybe 30 min later. Ordering was a little confusing because you self order on a screen kiosk, but the kiosk options did not match what was on the tv screen menus hanging above the counter. I wanted the 2 chicken shawarma wraps with fries which was on the tv menu, but not at the self order kiosk. I asked the young man behind the counter and he said the 2 mini wraps were no longer available and it was only the one large wrap with fries. Ok, I guess I'll order that. I was unclear if they were out of the 2 mini wraps just that day and time, or for forever. Single wrap was a good size, and there were ton of crispy fries that I couldn't finish. The chicken was tasty, and the garlic sauce was yummy. I did not detect any of the pomegranate molasses, which to be honest is why we're all going. There was no way to order an extra side of the molasses either, so that was disappointing. Not sure where all these pictures are coming from with extra sides of garlic sauce and molasses. Wish there would be some better consistency with the orders. Wish the tv menu would match the kiosk menu. Wish the mix of one beef and one chicken shawarma wrap was available. The kitchen is very busy trying to fill orders and seemed a little overwhelmed with the recent social media popularity. Would I go back? Sure, if I was driving by and found parking. I'm here to confirm it does! | F O O D | Chicken Shawarma 8.5/10 - The balance of tender meat, acidic peppers, addictive garlic sauce, and wrapped in a crisp exterior. Beef Shawarma 7/10 - same experience, but preferred the spices and flavor of the chicken Chicken and Rice Plate 8.5/10- The char on the chicken adds even depth of flavor and is still extremely tender and juicy. The rice is packed with spices and getting a nice bit with garlic sauce on top just makes it perfect. | O V E R A L L | I wish I could just buy a gallon of garlic sauce and put it on everything. Ohmygoodness. This place is a must try. Chicken and Beef Shawarmas were AMAZING. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, packed with so much flavor and the sauces were so yummy. One was garlic based and the other was pomegranate so it was sweet and very delicious, I've never eaten anything like it with shawarma and I loved it. Can't wait to be back and try their falafels as well! Parking is fairly easy with street parking around the corner- came around dinner time and I didn't have any issues finding a spot. read more

Finally checked this place off my list of places to go try! Walked up and placed our order on the kiosk! Waited about 5-10 min before the called our number! Which was actually fast considering how much foot traffic they had! We got the spicy chicken schwrama wrap. One with Pom and one without Pom. They are really delicious flavorful and packed with chicken! Definitely want to try the chicken and rice combo read more

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and was blown away! Everything we tried was so good. The chicken plate was amazingly tender, the beef kebab was cooked perfectly, and the yellow rice had so much flavor. We also had the 100% strawberry lemonade, which was super fresh and the perfect drink. Definitely come experience this spot for yourself--you won't be disappointed! read more

I love the outdoor seating in the pleasant ambience, but the Shawarma is excellent. I had to beef and my friend had the chicken and we had to have some all natural yogurt drink to accommodate it. The service was very quick and I have to tell you I definitely will be coming back here. The food was delicious. Dama grill is a cool kebab and shawarma spot on venice blvd. There's plenty of seating and the have multiple menu displays and self service station. Now my biggest gripe is i order one wrap and fries and it took 40 mins to come. Multiple people came in after me and got food before me. I was on lunch break and didn't get a chance to eat. I got the Xander Wrap its chicken fries spicy garlic sauce on it and the wrap was grilled. The chicken had a nice easy char it was juicy and tender nice flavors. The spicy garlic sauce is nice and juicy. The fries were well done crispy but definitely lacked seasoning. Would i go back and try it maybe the wait was just too long in my opinion for the amount of food I ordered. read more

After hearing the hype around this place, I knew I had to make the stop and try the food. Parking was decent, and it wasn't super packed when we arrived to order. But it did take a while to receive our food, but we definitely took into account the increased business they've received in the past few months. While we waited, an employee brought us different kinds of baklava, which were so sweet that the long wait flew by a little faster. The food was pretty good; it had more unique flavors than I've had in the past, and I'm glad we got a chance to try it. read more
I dont know how they pack in so much flavor but its truly amazing. Service was quick. You order through the screens at the counter. Theres decent seating space inside and out plus parking in back and along the street. Price for the flavors is unbeatable. Overall a must try if you havent. read more
Tried Dama Grill in Culver City and the food really does live up to the hype--but definitely come with patience. It wasn't overly crowded, yet it still took over 25 minutes to get our two shawarma wraps. You order at a touchscreen kiosk, but one of the team members was nearby helping out and was very friendly, which made the process easy. The space itself is small and pretty bare-bones, so this is more about the food than the ambiance. Both the chicken and beef wraps were great--nice and toasty, packed with flavor, and the pomegranate molasses and garlic sauces were sooo good and really made the wraps stand out. One thing to note: parking is very limited--there's a small shared lot in the back with a hookah bar, so plan ahead. Overall, great food and worth trying, just don't come in a rush. If you're patient, you'll be rewarded with some really tasty shawarma. read more

Today I asked the girl working the register for 3 of the Xander which she replies "it's not called that when you're paying cash" with an attitude then when my sister points it out on the menu & she goes "okay the Xander" when I just said that & she obviously knew what I meant. Then when our order is ready my brother goes to grab it & the other girl in white pulls back the bag of food & goes "no not you". As if he was some random guy just grabbing our order, when we had all 3 walked up & ordered together on one tab. We then asked for a cup for the slushie we paid for & with an attitude she told us it's right there when there was in fact no cups right there. The older man then went & got us 2 cups. Which we did appreciate the free slushie but other than that it was such an uncomfortable experience for me & my siblings who it was their first time here & I wanted to show them this spot & it was a horrible first impression for them. read more
We went to Dama Grill, a Syrian-owned spot that serves Syrian-style shawarmas. I found it on TikTok, and since we love Syrian shawarma and it's close to our neighborhood, we figured we'd check it out. We ordered the Xanders Shawarma (chicken shawarma with spice sauce, creamy garlic sauce and crispy fries) and the Syrian-style beef shawarma. We also got chocolate pistachio baklava and a side of fries. The Xander shawarma was definitely the best thing we got. The chicken was super juicy and flavorful. I just wish it had pickles and that spicy sauce. It needed that extra kick. Still, I'd get it again for sure. The Syrian-style beef shawarma was kind of a letdown. It didn't have the same punch. Maybe there was less meat, or it just didn't have enough sauce or spice, but it felt dry and kind of bland. I couldn't really taste any marinade either, which was disappointing. The garlic sauce, tahini, and pomegranate molasses were all solid. The garlic sauce especially added a lot to both wraps. The fries were really crispy and well-seasoned. I'd have those again, no question. The chocolate pistachio baklava, though, was not it. It came out warm, which was nice, but there was barely any flavor. It was just syrupy and heavy, without any real sweetness or richness. I wouldn't get that again. Would I go back? Maybe, if I was already in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way. read more
