During a moment of weakness last summer, I downloaded the McDonalds app. I know I can just delete it, but I cannot bring myself to do so. They have some really good deals (I admit the Friday fry-day is what got me to give in) but other deals usually apply to what I order ($1 off happy meal, $1 hash browns, etc.) I sometimes go a few times a month (okay, maybe 4-5) so I know I need to eventually cut them out but for now, it's a fix. There is rarely a line here (strangely, one at breakfast on a Saturday around 6a was the longest) but otherwise, it's fairly quick service and the employees have been nice. Food is reliable, never had any issues, no complaints. I've tried a couple other locations, but this is my mainstay, and I am happy with the way things are here. read more

Before I threw it away, one of my family member tried it and immediately gave a disgusted face. I haven't tried the food here at this location, I would mainly just order ice coffee; however, one thing I love about this location is their countertop and the location. The service here is professional and they always very nice and professional. To bad their outdoor dining away is locked but atleast they have security here everytime i come here. read more

Wow this is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. The spicy mcchicken sandwich was piping hot, crispy, and juicy with the right ratio of everything. The French fries were also super fresh, hot, and crispy, they even fill it up all the way like how it's supposed to be! Vine street was closed off for car traffic due to the cicLAvia bicycle event. Rode up on my bicycle and ordered an iced coffee on the app which offered a special. The cashier who didn't speak English very well thought I had ordered an iced coffee with half the cup filled with milk. This was my first time at a mcdonalds in a long time. I didn't know what to expect but it was okay. I walked here, didn't drive. Probably a lot harder if you're driving this way just due to traffic. I ordered my food on the app and I didn't wait long. They had to replace the shamrock syrup so I had to wait a little bit for mine but they did give me a medium even though I ordered a small so no complaints. This is the only McDonald's location in Hollywood with a drive-thru. It's located off of Vine Street, and the drive-thru goes under the parking structure. You're going to get exactly what you expect from McDonald's here, whether that's good or bad. I've never had any issues with the food from this location. The things that bring this location down to a three-star review are, the parking lot layout, the drive-thru layout, and the service. Look, I get that it's a difficult task, but the parking lot here is really poorly laid out. The drive-thru snakes through the parking lot, and if there's anybody in the drive-thru it's almost impossible to find parking. Not only that but the lot is also divided by the restaurant itself, so if you enter the lot from the wrong side you end up having to fight not only the traffic from the parking lot but also the traffic from the drive-thru. As mentioned, the drive-thru itself is also poorly laid out. I don't know what else they were supposed to do, but the drive-thru snakes through the parking lot and oftentimes gets backed up sometimes, although rarely, it goes all the way out to Vine Street. and last, the service. No one here has ever been rude to me, so that's not an issue, but what is an issue is that the service here is just very poor. They oftentimes get orders wrong, the drive-thru sometimes gets backed up and moves very slow. I understand this is an entirely on the staff and sometimes it's on the customer, but it does happen at this location a lot. I always double check my order when I come to this McDonald's because they mess up pretty regularly. Again, no issues with the food here If this is the closest McDonald's or if you're looking for one with the drive-thru in the Hollywood area this is your only option. read more

By far the wackiest drive thru I've ever encountered (inside a parking garage) and slow enough for me to read most of the other Yelp reviews for this spot, which left expectations low. So I was pleasantly surprised when we were greeted by a kind voice who was patient with our past-midnight order and nice service at the window. Doing DoorDash on New Year's Day and if you guys don't know let it be known that DoorDash drivers make money off their speed on completing deliveries, and get penalized for canceling orders. So I got an order from this McDonald's the line went all the way up on Vine street. Almost reaching the end of the block. It was a one hour 30 minute wait time the order was supposed to be ready at 4:32 AM by the time I got to the front it was 5:30 a.m. when I get to the speaker the woman was extremely rude telling me we're not serving DoorDash or Uber eats anymore. I was trying to explain to her that the source should've been ready at 4:32 AM. She continued to cut me off and not let me talk and continue talking over me. I went to this McDonald's on Sunday afternoon about 220. I had to stand there and wait while one woman who had finished her order said there for almost 5 minutes and nobody bothered to move to another register to take my order. Then the young girl, a Latino girl Took my order. I paid her in cash. She's kind of threw the money in my hand. Which is typical these days. Most of it fell on the counter. Rather than pick it up and say I'm sorry and try to hand it back to me she just took her fingers and shoved it towards me. I told a manager. I came back because part of my order was wrong. They were laughing behind the counter, first talking in English then switch to Spanish as I walk in laughing because they thought I was trying to get her fired. I don't try to get people fired. I simply told the manager what happened and told her that if she's having a bad day, she might want to consider putting her somewhere where she doesn't have to deal with the public. This is ridiculous. As I told the manager do people not understand that without the customer, there would be no need for them. There's already been one McDonald's in the area that's closed down let's have another one. read more

You go into McDonald's expecting subpar food but this location is terrible and should be inspected by food inspectors. It was 100 degrees inside after going thru drive thru and someone taking order didn't speak English guided me to parking lot so I went inside. Food is horrendous avoid at all costs. It is standardized services and the location is nice. Now they wear mask and plastic barrier between customers, it is harder to understand. The portion is also getting really small. Money is getting thinner as well. Breakfast meal is nearly $10 with coffee. I miss the time self serve $.50 coffee. This location does not have automatic ordering system with touch screen like other places. It is still traditional face to face way to order. The good thing is, it has a small parking lot. If you are lucky, you get a spot to enjoy the meal while traffic jam outside. read more

The service sucks, I mobile ordered and ice cream and they didn't have any and I wasn't given anything else. The workers just moved on and I was left there. I just left. The other day as well, I ordered just a Dr Pepper, I waited for around 7 minutes JUST for a drink. People who get there after me got their food before me. What an inconsiderate neighbor .....and tree butchers as well:( For the attention of the reported manager, Marco? Sometime between 5 am and 7 am on Saturday Sept 28th, 2019, a work crew, which appeared to be hired by McDonalds at 1413 Vine street in Hollywood (SW corner or De Longpre and Vine) began tree cutting along the street on DeLongpre and in the McDondalds parking lot. They were in a white Chevy 2500 pickup with license plate number 099 14S2 or 099 1452. When other neighbors and I called to complain to the staff at McDonalds about the chain saw and leaf blower noise around 5:30 am, we were told it was legal noise levels since they were in a commercial neighborhood. I informed them that noise before 7 am is illegal anywhere and that they were in fact within one and two blocks of residential homes and apartment buildings. When I asked for the phone number and name for the store manager, two different employees refused to provide it. I then went to the front desk of the LAPD on Cole street (just 2 blocks away), also known as Hollywood division. On their advice, another neighbor and I separately called the non emergency dispatch number asking for the police to stop the very loud noise. LAPD also referred me to LA building and Safety, which I'm pretty sure is closed on Saturdays. Then I called 311, who told me noise violations are the responsibility of the LAPD, meanwhile the front desk people at LAPD Hollywood Division told me it was the responsibility of LA Building and Safety. I hope someone from these agencies reaches out to McDonalds? I hope that the McDonalds owners, operators or franchisees or general Manager now know that it's not OK to wake up neighbors before 7am with chain saws, and it's abhorrent and illegal to cut down city property like the street trees on DeLongpre. First off I want to say this is the best McDonald's I've been to by far in the 25 years I've been on earth. The food was fresh, the customer service was excellent and it looks a bit different than other McDonald's. I ordered 2 burgers and a large fry. They made my fries exactly how I wanted and they came out piping hot!! Whenever I ask for lightly salted and well done fries the other restaurants usually reuse already made fries or they come out soggy but this place!!?! For such a high traffic tourist area this location really maintains great service and timeliness. I work at the Van Gogh exhibit up the street and get lunch here regularly and always get served super fast. The staff is nice & efficient.
