My family and I stopped at Astro Burger for lunch while in the area. We took a rideshare there. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. It has tables with chairs and barstool seating inside and tables covered by large umbrellas outside. The restaurant is very brightly lit due to all of the windows. Upon entering we headed to the counter to place our order. There was a menu that we could look at. While deciding what we wanted we were met by a person working. She took our order, we paid, and found a place to sit. We waited about 10 minutes and then our order was called. My husband then brought it to our table on trays. For my meal I ordered the Astro Burger no cheese. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, signature sauce, and I added mustard. With my meal I got a side of onion rings and feta cheese fries. The burger was good. You could definitely taste the charbroiled meat and the signature sauce added flavor. The onion rings were really good. They had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. The fries with feta cheese were good. The fries were a good size, had a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The feta cheese on top gave the fries flavor. Overall Astro Burger has plenty of seating inside and outside, a variety of food to choose from, and the food was good. read more

I haven't eaten at Astro burger in 20 years. I'm a little bit of a snob. I'm a professional chef and the last time I ate there 20 years ago I don't remember what I had but I was with a guy who I was soon to dump and whatever it was, I didn't enjoy it. Cut to today: I desperately had to use the bathroom and I was really far away from my own home. I pulled into Astro burger at 9 AM. It looked empty clean and I was very hopeful they had a bathroom. They did! It was clean and available and it didn't even have a code to get in. I thought I really should buy something. They were so kind to let me use their bathroom. So I got an egg McMuffin and a fresh squeezed orange juice. It was $11. In Los Angeles to get a freshly cracked egg with freshly sautéed breakfast sausage on a nice toasty English muffin with a 12 ounce cup of legitimately, freshly squeezed orange juice for $11 is fricking extraordinary. It was delicious. It tasted like it was made by a grandma. I wish it had cheese, but that's on me, next time I'll get cheese. They also have deserts and some extras in a Old school Cafe style decor you can have a crew because table for two expand. We ordered two pastrami sandwiches my wife got Greek fries, basically fries with fetta cheese on the fries. I got sweet potato fries they look burnt but they are not they are very tasty. But, in the past vegetarian places tended to be hit and miss. Well, if you are anywhere near an Astro Burger, you are in luck. Here you can get quite a number of meat-free dishes that are appetizing and very tasty. Add this bonus: the only vegetarian "burger" I have ever had that was edible and did not remind me of animal blood (you know the new plant burgers to which I am referring -- innovations for sure, for those who still crave the heme in blood), are the Garden Burger brand. They are rare in super markets now but Astro Burger serves them. Yay!! A deluxe Garden Burger for me, done and done! And there were other things we could have sampled too but we were in a hurry. Bonus: we asked them to substitute real cheddar cheese for the whey product termed American "cheese" (what does it say about us that we consider pressed whey to be cheese? No one in Vermont or Wisconsin does, believe me). The venue is spotless, there is easy access, parking is a snap in the rear, it is bright and cheerful, there are places to sit with big windows that lit up the restaurant even on a cloudy day, and the service was quick and friendly. I've been going to this place since I was a teenager, it's nothing spectacular but the food hits the spot every time you visit. They never add salt or seasoning to their fries, and I asked twice for salt at the drive thru and the cashier said yes when I asked if the salt packet was included, and it wasn't. Unsalted fries is just sad and I don't understand why they think it's ok to charge more and not pay attention to details. Also, if you're going to eat in your car, expect a lot of juice from the burgers to spill on your clothes because the paper is very thin and an oil drenched bag you probably don't want touching your seats. They don't drain the oil and my hands are covered in it and it won't come off after washing them. Greasy spoon but decent burgers. We normally go to Astro in West Hollywood, but we now have moved closer to Koreatown This morning, we decided to try Astro next to Paramount Studios And we were surprised how much better it is than the other one To start the young man at the register, with a piercing on his left ear, who took our order and gave us the food gets an A for customer service. We gave them (2) $2 bills and told the young man one was for him. I hope he gets to keep it. The food was so much more flavorful and visually amazing The cup of water had crushed ice which was a nice surprise All the staff is amazing. We will definitely be back often. read more

Went to Astro Burger for lunch during the Stranger Things/ Ciclovía event. My wife and I shared a breakfast burrito and breakfast burger. The burrito was okay, but the salsa was not great. It could have also used more bacon in it since I could barely taste it. Burger was solid, but have definitely had bettter. They have plenty of tables inside, and a few outside to eat at. They also have a pretty extensive menu to choose from. The service was pretty quick even though they were very busy with a ton of customers. read more

While studying at YOUBE, I started to get hungry. I noticed Astro Burger across the street. I packed up my things and headed out! I went to their drive-thru and was a bit overwhelmed with all they offer. So I just went with my usual grilled cheese sandwich and a banana milkshake. I didn't wait very long, which was great! I was starving! When I received my order, I immediately jammed the straw in the banana milkshake shake. Unfortunately, I was sooo disappointed with the shake. It tasted more like a vanilla protein shake, yuck! After the first sip, I took a second sip, and I couldn't finish it; it was so gross. The grilled cheese sandwich, however, was top-notch! It was delicious! Just like I like it. Nice and crispy bread, with the right amount of cheese! Yum! Ive never left a review on a restaurant before, my score is in no way to judge the employees or the atmosphere but the price and portions of my food. I don't have much money right now and saw this place had zucchini fries, why not yknow, how bad can they mess up a burger and zucchini fries. For 16.47, not including a drink (I got a watercup) I was served a cheeseburger and an order of zucchini fries. There was barley ANY zucchini fries and the burger was similar in size to a kids meal size. I was hungry man and expected to at least get some more for what I was paying, and dont get me wrong I understand prices are going up everywhere but I could have chosen anywhere else to eat for way cheaper that could have given me way better portions like a McDonalds or a chipotle even but nah, thats what I get for trying something new. Once again this isnt anything against the service but the portions. Don't charge an arm and a leg if your barley going to give anything in return, rather your located in a nice west hollywood area or not. Whenever we're feeling indecisive about food, we always go to Astro. They have a huge menu and everything is delicious. My go-tos: the Greek salad, the spinach feta omelette, the homemade Greek soup, and of course, their bacon cheeseburger. One of the best burgers around! WOW. Just had the most delicious dinner experience. Came here bc of my fried zucchini cravings and it was everything I was looking for: crispy, hot, creamy and my god the ranch. I got a large so I could take some home. I love a classic diner burger so I got that and a side of chili cheese fries. The burger had a great smoky flavor and had the classic diner taste which included lettuce, onions, tomatoes, thousand island. The chili cheese fries taste exactly like the Hat!! We also got the western angus burger which comes with a 1/3 lb patty, grilled onions, bacon, bbq sauce. My bf loved this and it was so juicy and rich. Everything came out under 10 minutes and was super hot and fresh. The staff were really nice and helpful as well.
