    Korean Fried Cauliflower with Rice
    Deweyne L.

Long overdue on writing this one. Jesse Boy has been a consistent stop for me over the years and consistency in this city is worth its weight in gold. My order never changes, fried cauliflower with jasmine rice, and it has never let me down once. If you're considering the spicy option just know that Jesse Boy is not playing around. That heat is REAL. But it's the kind of spicy that keeps you coming back for more because the flavor underneath is just as strong as the kick. The interior is a bit tight so seating can be limited, hopefully they can expand that at some point. Jesse Boy has earned every year of my loyalty.

My order was messed up twice unfortunately but surprisingly it was good anyways lol, keep it up but maybe work on clarifying the order before ringing people up

I've been ordering from them for the past year, whenever I have a craving for delicious, juicy Korean fried chicken and they never disappoint. I always order the extra chicken pieces. If you want some great Korean fried chicken, this is the place to order from.

There are only a couple of tiny tables in the shop, it looks like this place is more for take out and food delivery rather than eating in. The food was good, I had the chicken sandwich with fries. I thought the crispy fries were especially good. My partner had the chicken tenders. The people working the counter were friendly and helpful. I would go back again.

Absolutely phenomenal! Customer service was impeccable, super welcoming with a colgate smile I got the cauliflower and white rice this time, I've had their fried chicken as well and it's the best thing I've ever eaten when it comes to fried cauliflower or fried chicken! I'm so glad my daughter's put me up on this, super small place, but they absolutely make their food with so much love and amazing and fresh ingredients I love it here!

The store was tiny. I would suggest planning for takeout. There are only 3 "tables" and a "bar top" that can barely fit the bag they give you your order in. It was good but nothing special. The tenders were ok.. not super well coated, decently spicy, but not the best. The fries were pretty standard but good.

Surprisingly delicious Korean fried chicken sandwiches in Hollywood! I was super impressed with Jesse Boy. While my time here was short, it was memorable. It would appear this restaurant is mostly takeout, though they do have very limited seating available inside. Price point is reasonable, service was friendly, and the food was tasty. I'd definitely recommend stopping in here if you're in the area.

This is my go to favorite at least every few weeks. The fried cauliflower and the fried chicken tenders have so much flavor and so delicious! Never disappointed. Highly recommend!

Jesse boy has some of the best fried cauliflower salads and sandwiches. It's located in the strip mall and parking can be a challenge, although street parking is available. it's a small location with a lot going on. You greeted with someone who can help and I've always found the service good. There are options of Korean fried chicken or cauliflower. I also love their french fries and Fresca drink. My favorite drink is grape, but they have different options throughout the week. I've ordered delivery pick up before as well. Its packaged and sealed usually still warm when it arrives. Jesse boy is definitely a hidden gem, once you learn about it, you're hooked

Soooo impressive chic wings.... I definitely defiantly recommend... chix was so crunchy and HOT.... Will come back for lots more....

Do they have indoor seating available?

    No. It's a small space.

Is it halal? I want my friend to try Korean Fried Chicken, but need to make sure it is halal. Thanks!

Hi Erika, unfortunately our food is not Halal. Sorry about that, but we so appreciate you sharing about us with your friend. It means so much to us <3

Is there a vegan option for the cauliflower Sammy?

Their bread isn't vegan so no. The only vegan option is a caulflower plate or bowl.

Should I get the chicken wings or the chicken tenders? Also, what is the least spicy chicken there?

The chicken tenders are so good! The spicy ones are really good but they are hot

Do they use egg or dairy to bread their chicken?

    Yes

I stuck with getting the mild sando, and didn't expect the chicken breast so gigantic! It was a delicious sandwich and the spice was pretty good. I'm glad I didn't go any spicier than that. I ordered the fries which were actually pretty good. They were definitely seasoned, but they weren't heavily in taste sense. They had something for me to drink and it went really well with a meal actually. I'm glad that I could say that I enjoyed this place from beginning to end. Here's the general flow of things:…read more 1) Wait to be seated by the owner (may take some time if he is busy cooking, you'll have to wait for him as he doesn't have any other staff) 2) Once he points you to a table, have a seat (if there are leftover dirty dishes from the previous party that haven't been cleared, that's normal; hopefully he comes to move them out of the way quickly for you and gives the table a wipe-down) 3) Speak your order clearly (don't expect the owner to give you much acknowledgement once he has your order, he might just nod and walk away). If you want a soda, it's self-service. The vibe of the restaurant is just OK; you have a lot of people looking around (either at their tables or at the door for take-out) either wondering what to do or where the owner is so they can be helped. Lot of TVs on with kpop MVs or sports playing (but no volume); nothing special there. 4) Chicken should only take about 20-30 min, he'll bring it out soon enough and it'll be hot from the kitchen. The fruit is a little...different, but kind of works with the dish and cuts through the grease a bit. Unfortunately, no radish like your usual Korean fried-chicken place would offer. 5) After you've finished eating, wait for him to come over and assist you with the check (again, you'll have to wait till he's done with other tasks so he can help you in-between his workload) The chicken used to be worth the wait, and the owner used to have a little more courtesy for his customers. After my most recent visit, I can no longer say so. The chicken comes out faster but is no longer as crispy, and the sauce isn't doing it any favors anymore. And the owner's attitude made our whole visit unenjoyable; gave off the feeling like he felt he was doing us a favor by letting us eat there, and seemed annoyed at any questions we asked (and then was very unavailable most of the time). I understand he does this alone, and he has more tables now than when I last was here (4-6 now instead of 2). But if you can't handle the work load alone then downsize or get some part-time help, or at least be a little more humble with your attitude. I was originally very excited to recommend this place to my friends and took them here to eat, but by the end I was a little embarrassed at the service we received. Don't get me wrong, we're not strangers to the usual "Asian service" where you kind of get the first-gen treatment and don't expect please/thank yous with your meals...but this was really something else, and the quality of the meal couldn't even make up for it anyway. Sorry to say it was unacceptable to us; as visitors from out-of-town we used to look forward to making this one of our stops, but we won't be returning. A good meal/service can make someone's day, and the same could be said for the opposite. Good luck to anyone who might catch him on maybe a better day.

You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.

For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant.
