Thankfully, we all made it out safely, but we stood outside completely horrified and heartbroken, watching our home burn while knowing our two beloved cats were still somewhere inside. While the firefighters were still at our home, I received a phone call from Owen Guape. In the midst of complete chaos, Owen introduced himself in a calm, reassuring voice and simply told me that he could help. I was overwhelmed, distraught, and sobbing, but something about his demeanor gave me enough reassurance to say yes. Within 20 minutes, Owen arrived at our home with water for our family and immediately began offering comfort and support. By 9:00 the next morning, Owen and his team were back at our home, tarping and boarding it up to make sure it was secure. But what I will never forget is that Owen spent hours helping us search for and rescue both of our cats. Miraculously, they were alive, but terrified and hiding. His willingness to stay and help us find them meant more to our family than I could ever put into words. The kindness did not stop there. Owen personally delivered several of my husband's suits after they had been cleaned at their facility so that he would have clothing to wear to work. In the middle of everything we were dealing with, that level of thoughtfulness and personal care meant so much to us. Within days of the fire, several members of the Pacific Northwest Restoration team met me and our insurance company at the house to begin assessing the damage and inventorying both the structure and the contents of our home. They have worked seamlessly with our insurance company throughout the process, which has helped take an enormous amount of stress off our shoulders. On the contents and project management side, I have had the privilege of working closely with Rieley, Lana and Amanda, who have truly been by my side throughout this process. They consistently keep me updated on what their team is working on, explain the next steps, answer my questions, and have even coordinated multiple deliveries of our belongings to the rental home where we will be living while our house is rebuilt. Meanwhile, other members of the team have continued working at our home, removing debris and handling the ongoing cleanup. I often think about what would have happened if I hadn't answered that random phone call in the middle of the night during the scariest experience of my life. I am incredibly grateful that I did. Pacific Northwest Restoration has given my family something that is incredibly difficult to find after experiencing such a devastating loss: peace of mind. This is more than a restoration company. This is a team of people who understand that behind every damaged home is a family whose entire world has just been turned upside down. A year later when selling our house they found unrealized damage from that fire. The presure from the fire hoses soaked the plywood and created mold in the attic. The roof was replaced with new plywood in 2019. The insurance would not pay for machines to dry the attic out. They did however pay for new insulation, for Attic and crawl space. A year later Northwest Restoration mitigated the mold at no cost! So we are giving 10 Stars, and recommend them highly!

Fortunately, 2 Sons Plumbing (who initially came out to fix the plumbing issue) recommended Premier Water Removal for getting things dried out. Joshua was able to come out immediately following the incident (on a Sunday morning, too!), and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient (I asked a LOT of questions) and thorough in his assessment of the work needing to be done. Shortly after we talked, a team was able to come out and get to work removing cabinets, sealing off the affected area and getting their machines set up. I don't know all the names of the individuals that came out to our house, but I do recall Byron, Kyle, Eric and AJ (I think). Every single person was very professional and friendly. The removal and setup went far more quickly and cleanly than I expected. There were a few follow up visits, but these were always quick and again, they were very open to answer any questions I had. I want to call out that the communication across the company was excellent. The coordination between the estimator, customer service and the cleaning team was frictionless and I was never left hanging wondering what the next steps were. They always showed up promptly in the window provided (and always lead with a heads up call 20 minutes before hand), and always immediately followed up with our next appoint (Heather, on our calls and through email was also always very friendly and helpful). I'm sorry if you're in a situation where you need a water removal company, but I would highly recommend using Premier as it has been a great experience throughout a not-so-great ordeal.

I hired H2O Away to remedy the situation. They sent some guys out. I checked the crawlspace afterwards and the work wasn't completed. After some back and forth they sent a different crew out. They also put a dehumidifier down there as agreed. Unfortunately the dehumidifier was pointless as the work still wasn't completed and the mold wasn't remedied. The original person I spoke to ghosted me but I found someone else to talk to. They offered to come out and try a third time but we agreed instead to terminate our business relationship and pay a discounted amount. I get that paying for staff and equipment costs money, but in the end I still paid about $2k for services that had approximately $0 value to me as I still needed to do the work myself. A contractor friend of mine said to be really careful about who you get to work in your crawlspace. Companies that work down there get the lowest paid, least qualified guys to do those undesirable jobs. As at my house, they often don't actually complete the work because most homeowners won't go down there to verify it was actually done. I am inclined to agree. He did show, after I called the office AGAIN, and was over 30 min. late. That was on Nov 13. Since then, the KCHRP rep I'm working with and I have been GHOSTED and we never received any estimates for the work that would be done. All of that time spent for NOTHING.

The quotes for this were more than expected for such a small balcony. Our home is 27 years old with LP siding and we decided to get bids to have our siding replaced as well and make a substantial investment in our home and within our projected budget. Bids were secured for the balcony and the siding from several contractors. We met with Leo Redford of AMPRO Builders who let us know that they could do both projects and within our budget! AMPRO Builders received a good BBB rating, good reviews, and we were very impressed with Leo's knowledge and professionalism. Leo gave us some ideas for the exterior of our home that we really liked and hadn't thought of before and we moved forward. Leo maintained communication with us throughout the three-week project and conducted a few walk-through inspections and addressed any miscellaneous concerns we and/or he may have had. Our home looks totally new and different with a greater street curb appeal. We are very satisfied with the experience we had with AMPRO, Leo Redford, and foreman Nester and his crew. The project was to demo 800 square feet of 30 year old tile and install new tile flooring that runs from the large entry way under the front door into the living room of my house. With huge plate glass windows throughout the space. There was also a rainwater drainage issue that needed a solution. All my concerns about the tile layout and sloping for drainage and protecting the big windows were all addressed both upfront and throughout process. This job included removing the old tiles, machine grinding to remove old cement and rebuilding of the cement base outside, putting in a new drainage pipe through a cement frame under a glass wall and then installing the new tile. The end result is a beautiful new tile floor. I highly recommend DJ and his team to handle your home remodel projects.

I had a driveway done, which does look nice, but ended up cracking in quite a few places. Not two or three places, but all over. Cracking across the majority of the driveway. I asked about any sort of warranty, having one or two cracks I could've looked past it. When it continued and started cracking all over it got frustrating. Especially when JD came out and looked at the cracks and told me he would ask his concrete guys about a fix. (At this point I was already anticipating he would NOT get back to me, and what do you know. Ghosted.) No communication after that, no attempts to update me on any sort fix. For anyone that reads the reviews. You'll notice the out of country, had an emergency excuse. He used that excuse with me as well after blowing us off for multiple days at a time. Seems fishy. Cheap contractor. Cheap work. Bad customer service. I'd recommend to do your due diligence and get more quotes especially if these guys are your only one. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
