Sadly, I cannot recommend Evans Mechanical. I had some heater work done and some additional duct sealing was also needed, but could not be done for 9 weeks. The tech that repaired the heater(he did a good job), spoke on the phone right in front of me with the scheduler and placed me on the schedule for the first week of February, 2018. Since they hadn't called me prior to this week, I called Evans to only find out I was never put on the schedule at all. I was then told I would need to be put back on the schedule for another months wait. The scheduler acted like it was my fault, no apology. Needless to say, I am not pleased at all. read more

Staff are friendly and communicate well. However, the fee just to install a motor on our furnace was over $200 and the installation took under 30 minutes. I asked about paying a fee for labor (hourly rate vs. the "upfront price" which is the quoted amount for parts and labor and was told,"No, I'm only a worker bee". The bottom line, they have extremely inflated prices. After writing my review, I received a call addressing my concerns. The employee that responded to my concerns, was professional and reasonable. In today's "corporate America" its very rare to find a company whose owner truly cares about customer satisfaction. When we had issues with our home furnace we had some communication issues with an Evans Mechanical technician who came out to inspect it. When I contacted owner Matt Bray he apologized for the communication problem.....people are human & mistakes can happen but he took complete responsibility for the issue - as the owner he accepted "the buck stopped with him". He immediately scheduled an appointment to come out inspect our furnace personally and then gave us 3 different budget options to fix our issue. We ended up having Evans replace the heater at an extremely fair price and it works great. We would absolutely recommend Evans Mechanical for any HVAC needs. read more

Our furnace would not turn on so we called Evans Mechanical. Evans repair man came and diagnosed it to a bad limit switch. He said he could replace it but recommended replacing it because he noticed the heat exchanger was cracked and could cause future problems. We asked for a estimate and was given one the next day. The estimate was really high and our son recommended we call someone else. A local HVAC installer came out and gave a price for half the cost with a more efficient furnace. We had them install the new more efficient heater. After the old furnace was pulled the installer and I looked it over. The heat exchanger was in good working order and had no cracks or holes in it. We still had the installer finish the new furnace install. From the beginning if Evans was truthful we could have just replaced the limit switch and saved money and not had to wait 2 weeks in the cold. We will never call Evan Mechanical again. read more

I'm extremely pleased with the work that was done on my furnace and ducts, and with the team from Evans Mechanical, who were real pros. The price was manageable and they scheduled the job quickly (a big plus because two tiny space heaters were doing the work of heating the whole house!). The team arrived promptly and spent two days setting things right. They were thorough and did a messy job very neatly. Now that the furnace is running and the ducts are clean, it's so quiet I can hardly hear it, and the air quality is a hundred times better. Highly recommend! read more

A few moments ago, I was informed by an Evans Mechanical supervisor, via customer service rep, that Evans Mechanical is unwilling to even attempt to complete a job started Friday . The shocking part is the explanation the manager provided.I was informed that Evans Mechanical is "new to plumbing", and thus so, is unable to troubleshoot the problem further. The manager's use of this explanation is pathetic. After more conversation, I was informed that Evans Mechanical does not posses the necessary equipment to finish the job. You advertise that you are, "PLUMBING EXPERTS", yet you do not posses a drum machine/snake longer than 70ft? Or an inspection camera? Nor can you offer any sort troubleshooting to help determine available options? I found Evans Mechanical to be EXTREMELY unhelpful and unprofessional. I do not, would not, and will not ever recommend their services! Thank you Tim Evans for leaving our only bathroom, unusable, with standing sewage in our bathtub. read more

Evans Mechanical installed a high efficiency furnace, a tankless water heater, and some new ductwork along with sealing and rewrapping all the existing ductwork for a 2500 sqft home. They did a clean job with great attention to detail. The business is very customer focused, so that in addition to making sure we were satisfied with the install, they've followed up on some fine-tuning support calls without hesitation, making it a very easy business to interact with where support is concerned. I've also been impressed with their knowledge concerning efficient HVAC systems and tankless water heating. In short, not only to they take a lot of care to make sure the systems are properly installed, but also show a firm committment to ongoing support. Prices are reasonable. We had one of their service advisors out for a quote on a tankless water heater and some other items. Their prices were two to three times higher than other companies. But my main complaint is that the person they sent out kept applying high pressure sales tactics. Frankly, I was offended and wouldn't want anything to do with them after that. read more

Great service and great work! I had central heating installed in my house and it took them 3 days to get it all completely finished. They made sure my heater was workable after the first day so my family and I could have heat. And the must have been the most friendly people I have ever had come work on anything in my house. We chatted it up, telling fishing stories and got to know each other very well by the time they were done. We even had a follow up appointment after a week, then a month. Thanks guys! Today was my second experience working with Evans. Last year I received a quote from Joe for a new dryer duct line. The 2 man crew(I am sorry that I forgot their names) were efficient, did everything that I asked and it has worked great ever since. I normally prefer working with small 1 and 2 person businesses. The few times that I have called local larger businesses for quotes, I get frustrated that they open a book and point at a price without really looking at what I need. After the great work that they did the first time I was willing to try Evans again when needing help with my furnace and dryer ducts. To open the door for the estimate and have Joe there once again put me at ease. He so thorough with the estimate, explaining everything to me and I could tell he wasn't fishing to make an extra buck and upsell me on anything. He also listened to what I really needed and gave me every indication that he would do what he could to help me. I knew I would not look elsewhere. The crew just left and I felt it necessary to review them right away. Justin and John were here all day cleaning and services all of my duct work. They also relined my air intake(that part was a thankless, horrible task and I am grateful they did it). Jason arrived to clean my disgusting furnace. Everything looks like new, even the vent covers. The area of the garage they used is cleaner than they found it. They are personable gentlemen. They answered every question I had for them. To top it off, Rachel is a sweetheart to deal with on the phone. Thank you, Evans. I am always grateful to find companies that I can create long standing relationships with. Their advertisements are a complete lie. Don't bother calling them for 24 hour emergency service, as their answering service will not have them call you back in a reasonable amount of time. Overpriced and poor workmanship. I had evan's come out and put in a bathroom fan for me because I heard they were the best in town. They appraised the job at $600 which is not at all cheap but I figured they would do a great job and it would be worth it. It was not. The fan they put in is noisy and somehow also weak. They also left a hole in the ceiling where they took the old light out. You can't feel any air circulation and it is very foggy/moist in there after a shower. Water collects on the ceiling and has to be wiped off. Now I have to hire someone else to patch up the drywall on the ceiling and put in a new fan that actually does what it's supposed to. I called and was told that they did the job as expected and that the fan was top of the line. They offered to come back over and give me an estimate to patch up the hole they left, what nerve! I would never use evan's again, even if they were the only business in town. read more
