I recommend Rocket Rooter unconditionally. They were able to come without a long wait. The plumber was very nice and extremely competent. It was a pretty disgusting scenario and the plumber went out of his way to make me feel less embarrassed and he assured me that he would be able to fix it and he did. I will definitely use him again. Also don't flush those "flushable" wipes down your toilet. Thank you for the great service Curtis. read more

Curtis Smith is a highly trained and extremely ethical professional. We've been calling on him for our drain cleaning and annual sewer line maintenance since he acquired Rocket Rooter from the previous owner. The quality of Curtis' work is outstanding, he is reliable, his prices are very fair and he is a pure pleasure to have visit our home. He sticks by his word regarding what a job will cost, and his high level of honesty is commendable. He is our "go to" guy, we feel very lucky to have him to count on in a pinch, and we wouldn't even consider calling anyone else if Curtis is willing to do the job. We have enthusiastically recommended Rocket Rooter to colleagues and friends. 5 stars is an understatement regarding how impressed we are with Curtis. Ann and Steve Arcata, Ca. 95521 read more

Curtis has recently bought this business (Rocket Rooter), so I hope that people will take that into account when reviewing the Yelp reviews. Curtis responded quickly to my phone request for plumbing assistance. He diagnosed the issue right away, gave me a quote, and followed up as soon as he got the parts needed. Upon completion, he left the area spotless. His performance was excellent, and I highly recommend him. read more

Five star. Called last minute and came back next morning...very fast at fixing leaky toilet and reasonable on price

We had a clogged main drain. Curtis was able to come quickly and assessed the problem, realized he couldn't use his immense rooter machine because of access problems, and swiftly came up with a Plan B that worked. He was very pleasant and professional and charged less than his original quote because Plan B (a hose-and-bladder solution) worked so quickly. I highly recommend him! read more

We had a complete sewage back-up in our house with no known clean-out we could use. We called Rocket Rooter from a recommendation we got from Wyckoffs Plumbing. Curtis was able to squeeze us in next day due to the severity of the issue. With his busy schedule, he was late getting to us cause of other emergency call-outs but still did show up. His professionalism and knowledge of this type of situation made us feel at ease. He found the sewer pipe, cut into it and snaked the leak out all in just over an hr. He gave us a discount to make payment easy. The only downfall there was, was that he only accepts cash or checks. Was able to pay cash for this but would have been nice to mention when on the phone since most people pay with plastic these days. Overall, with the severity of this issue and the prompt response and repair of it in a very quick manner, I totally recommend Rocket Rooter to come help anyone out. read more

Curtis responded quickly and got our job done in a professional manner.

We were without water for 2 days . Trying to get anybody here right outside of Fortuna at my business Korobi Stables was kind of impossible everybody is booked until late July. I have over 20 horses on the facility and a house full of people. It is a bigger problem then we all seemed to think , but he has been here twice and fixed it so that we can get somebody here for the bigger job thank you so much for your quick response and amazing attitude and work ethic. We have old metal pipes that all need to be dug up and replaced. Thank you so much, Kim Korobi read more

I highly recommend Curtis of Rocket Rooter. When the washer water backed into the shower and flooded the hallway, I found both bathrooms plugged up. My heart sank because I knew there were some significant plumbing problems. I was getting ready to fly out of town to a funeral, and the week after was expecting houseguests. It was a stressful time. Curtis responded to my call immediately and came out early the following day. He was professional, hard-working, knowledgeable, and a complete gentleman. The problem had some complications, but Curtis worked it all out and said he would only leave once the plumbing was fixed. He was true to his word. How does Curtis conduct his business? He does his job with excellence! read more

I saw Curtis at work elsewhere and was impressed by his ethic and true gentlemanly manner. For me he was terrific - no messing around yet courteous and totally reasonable leaving a great new sink, all the parts he had on hand. Like with an auto mechanic, when you find a good plumber you hang onto them. Mine is Curtis now. read more

I highly recommend Rocket Rooter. . After unsuccessful attempts to clear my kitchen drain with a 20' snake, I left a message with Rocket Rooter this morning as well as other local plumbers. Being unable to reach anyone, I called Rocket Rooter again and Curtis answered. He told me he'd tried to return my call but it had just rung with no one answering. He very kindly said he would help me out (other plumbers were out of town on vacation for Thanksgiving or so backed up they couldn't help me until next week). Curtis told me he could be there within three hours. He came as promised and went right to work clearing the drain. He definitely saved my Thanksgiving week so I can have family for dinner. Thank you Curtis. Helene Demling read more

Curtis was unpleasant to work with. When cleaning out the main line, he complained that it was gross, and upon leaving did not put the cleanout apparatus back in the original (albeit funky) condition. When I asked him if he could put it the way he found it, he was short and unprofessional and I ended up gloving up and doing it myself. He did clear the drain for $165, but he was so unpleasant and unprofessional that I won't use his services again. read more

Curtis was great in unclogging the sewage line to our septic tank, which did not have a drain cleanout for easy access. We called from Southern Humboldt, and he came the next morning right on time. Very communicative and pleasant, he went step by step in a methodical way and gave us confidence that he would fix the problem--and he certainly did! And he showed us why the clog had happened. Thanks, Curtis! read more

Curtis is great! He was prompt and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Curtis was professional, timely and knowledgeable about the work he did for us. He was honest in telling us we really needed to replace the toilet we had, as it had been in our home for ages (long before we were here). We had continuous problems with it, so it was smart to go that route. He was great and very easy to work with. We recommend him highly. read more

Have used Curtis for over two years for a variety of problems including clogged drains, minor leaks, reinstall toilet, and sink installation and related plumbing. Most recently the kitchen faucet started leaking while I was out of town. My wife called Curtis on a Saturday night and he came out Sunday to help and get a replacement part on the way from Moen. He is our go to guy and I highly recommend his 24/7 coverage and his excellent value. read more

I had sewer coming up into my shower, gross! I called my boyfriend and he was working on a house he was remodeling and his client said Curtis at Rocket Rooter was the nicest and had fair prices. I had already called another company and they wanted me to wait until the next day but I told them I had to work the next day. Then they called me back to say they were going to charge me the overtime rate at 5 pm since it is now 2 pm. I cancelled and called Rocket Rooter like what was recommended to me. Curtis was professional, and eager to help. He was working on another job but finished up and made it within an hour. He had a very pleasant attitude and although my house sits way back on the lot he just kept running the snake and never complained a bit. It took several hours but he was tenacious and just worked it slowly so he didn't damage anything and it eventually unclogged. Yay!!!!! I enjoyed talking to him and learned he is the owner of the business and is supporting a large family....this is exactly the kind of business I prefer to hire. The bill was reasonable too. If you need a drain cleared he is the guy! read more

Had a family member that had their pipes "cleared" by this company, now after he "completed" this job, a couple hours about, they were no longer "cleared" he took full payment, offered no refund for the job that wasn't done, but suggested other companies who are going to charge more than double. Won't be recommending this company to anybody. read more

I remodeled my kitchen and the faucet was never installed properly. I consulted several people and they advised me I needed to buy another expensive faucet, however I called Rocket Rooter to fix it. Curtis quickly responded and let me know it was an easy fix. Less than a half hour later my faucet was in perfect functional condition. Thank you Rocket Rooter! read more
