I called "An Electrician" based on a recommendation from my next door neighbor…read more I asked them for a quote on my upgrade from a 100 amp service to a 200 amp service. My old 1968 electrical panel had some connectors that had been damaged over the years and there was no room for adding additional circuits. I had sent pictures of my old panel / service and a few days later Chris came out and took a look at it in person. Soon after, I was given the written quote. I felt it was a fair price, I signed the quote, and he came out and did the work less than two weeks later. He did an extremely neat / clean installation. He went above and beyond to ensure that all of the existing wiring was up to code. In a few cases he pulled new romex to replace some sections of cable that did not have a ground wire. The work looked professional and he even caulked around the box to be sure everything was water-tight. He coordinated well with the city inspector and PG&E because of the working relationships he has developed over the years.

His associate/employee Tucker did a terrific job from the room, thru the attic and out of the house. The next time was because our hot tub company would not remove our old hot tub and install our new one due to regulations. The old hot tub had been in here many years before we bought the home, and I had cleaned it up and we used it for a couple of years without getting electrocuted, as had the previous owners! Nevertheless, they did a good job from the the box on the outside of our hot tub building to disconnecting and blocking off any switches or outlets inside. I had removed the French doors to get the new hot tub in and installed an industrial see through curtain to let more air and light in to go along with the skylights. Maybe we will get an electric car and call them out for help changing to a 220 as our hot tub building has, but the plug in hybrid works great for now!

Today, Christian from McKeever came over to fix some electrical issues overlooked by my home inspector. Not only was he knowledgeable and helpful, Christian was easy to get along with. He seemed more interested in solving all of my problems (the prior owner had done a lot of work himself, so there were interesting issues) than rushing to finish the job. Christian actually seemed to enjoy the challenges he faced as a fun puzzle to be solved. I could see the satisfaction he got from a job well done all over his face. They recommended Hunter fans due to their quality, so that's the brand we bought. They put 2 up, but only 1 worked! The remotes didn't work either. 1st visit cost $311. They came back to install the replacement & new remotes, but the replacement fan didn't work either! 2nd visit cost another $323! Now we're out over $600 and have 1 working fan & 1 hole in the ceiling! We got another replacement fan, installed it ourselves, according to the mfr's instructions and voila! It worked. While installing the 2nd fan, we noticed that there was a dedicated switch for the fan circuit, so we scrapped the remotes and put a speed controller in place of the switch - $16 speed control vs. two $45 remotes that don't work seemed like an easy choice. We called Cummings back to see if anything could be done about the charges, but the owner wouldn't budge. Instead of dealing with us himself he had us talk to the technician. Chicken bleep. Their website says "If you are not happy with the service we have provided, you do not pay a dime until you are! Customer satisfaction is our #1 concern and we strive daily to be the very best at what we do." More chicken bleep.

Don was not very accommodating to say the least. He sent a guy over because he didn't want to get here himself. He gave us $3,000 quote! Double than professional security cameras installation company wanted. The whole point was someone sent his number so he will give a cheaper price than big security companies. But In fact he gave a much higher price and an unrivaled bad attitude and disrespect.
