He came over Monday and his son Daniel and Hunter started work that day. They replaced rotted outside and inside boards, replaced PVC roof, installed plywood, baseboards, fixed gaps and walls. I had a leaky bathroom faucet that I knew from previous handypersons that had "fixed" it that it was a gasket inside the faucet. Daniel came and left at least twice to "get the proper parts" or "tools." I explained what the issue was before he arrived. At one point, I walked into the bathroom and saw him on his phone, not fixing anything. He also opened the faucet that I didn't have an issue with, which now leaks. There is a permanent footprint that I still have not been able to get out of the tub and looking over my invoice I paid $60 for a rubber gasket and $285 dollars for a 3 hour job that should have only taken a half an hour max. At the time I was thankful that they came so quickly so I didn't say much but now I am having another issue and decided to check reviews to see if they would be able to do the job, or if my experience was a fluke, but see that others have had the same issue with extended job times, faulty work and missing tools/parts that create the need for larger charges. I think I will have to pass on hiring again. It also made it hard to give this review because they were both friendly but I have to question the professionalism.

Ken himself did not come to give me the estimate. I didn't have the extra money at the time but I recently called Ken and after 3 phone calls, not being returned and not showing up when planned he finally showed up said he or one of his employees would do it the next morning after 9am. Well no one showed up so at around 10:45 I called (4th time) He said that didn't have the valve that he needed and was looking for one and that he would come by at the end of the day. Well guess what? I don't know what happened but he didn't show and I wasn't about to call again. So unfortunately I don't have anything good to say about his work as No work was done. 4 months ago I was impressed but now I'm disappointed. I even apologized for bothering him when I called the third time and when he did show up told him that if he was too busy right now for such a small job to let me know. That's when he said he'd be here the next morning. So he may be a great plumber??? I can't say but his customer service is very lacking! K. Hutchinson

AVOID AT ALL COST Has to be to most unprofessional, rudest…read moreelectrician we have ever encountered. I am not even talking about the crazy prices he's asking. Really unreal. Don was not very accommodating to say the least. He sent a guy over because he didn't want to get here himself. The "foreman" he sent looked very confused and obviously didn't really know anything about the job we were asking. After waiting a few good days, I reached out to ask if there's a quote. He gave us $3,000 quote! Double than professional security cameras installation company wanted. The whole point was someone sent his number so he will give a cheaper price than big security companies. But In fact he gave a much higher price and an unrivaled bad attitude and disrespect. I WOULD LITERALLY PAY FOR YOUR ELECTRICIAN JUST DON'T USE THIS GUY.

Emerald Appliance is the real deal. When my 3 year old…read morewasher stopped working, I called three local appliance repair shops. Emerald Appliance responded quickly, the service call price was competitive and fair, and I was able to book an appointment that week. Blaine came prepared with parts and all the tools needed, and was able to get my washer working quickly. Blaine was professional, knowledgeable and kept me informed on all aspects of the repair. Being fairly new to the area, I was happy to have found someone I could trust to come into my home and fix my appliances when needed, and for reasonable rates. Recently, I had problems getting my new range oven to light. Again I called Blaine at Emerald Appliance. and just as before, I was able to get an appointment within a week. Blaine came out right on time, checked out the oven and was able to locate and fix the issue. I truly appreciate the communication and professionalism. This guy knows his stuff! I highly recommend Blaine at Emerald Appliance for all your home appliance repair needs.

Please be cautious before selecting Emerald appliance. My problem was miss diagnosed after the…read morefirst visit despite my vocalized concerns. I was charged $366 to fix my dryer yet it remains broken. Before the technician, Blane, left I expressed it was still making the same loud noice it had been making before his attempted repair. I got drawn into paying a little more than I expected, but was willing to do this for a repaired dryer. It took a 2nd visit to determine the problem was really more extensive than he initially thought. I was given an additional estimate that it would potentially cost $361.00 more to fix my machine. I was astonished that the total cost to repair my 22 year old dryer would be $727. This is a complete cost of a new dryer. I would have appreciated to know the full cost to repair my dryer before investing $366. I ended up buying a new dryer because I don't trust Emerald appliance or Blane. I really wanted to keep my old dryer working, but I cannot trust that investing more money in Emerald appliance will actually solve my problem and yield a working dryer. They were polite in hearing my concerns, but in the end were not willing to refund any part of the value I initially paid. I requested a refund of all or part of the additional $165 labor fee I was charged to end with a broken machine. I was informed the only offer that could be made was a discount on future service. This was not satisfactory to me because I don't trust they will repair my dryer or any other appliance in the future. I will not be calling them again, ever. Buyer beware.
