I just wanna say that this is my first time here and sadly I won't be coming back (unless I find another nail tech artist who actually listens to my needs). I only went to this place because I heard good reviews as well as it's the closest to my home. So I walked in having high hopes, and I even brought up a reference picture. After checking in for my appointment for a gel-x fill, I went to go see my nail tech and I went to say hello but she didn't say hello back. Whatever. So then I showed her my reference photo and I want all white. Now I understand if I couldn't see the flowers if it's the same white nail color, which is why she suggested a different color that I didn't even ask. Not even like a white purple/blue color just so we can see the flowers better. Also, I know I should've spoken up more, which I had three times that I want to be a classic white French tip with daisies. But she insisted on using a shade of purple that I didn't even ask for. But not only that, but I feel like she couldn't speak English fluently because half of the time she was speaking to me in full Vietnamese, which I had a hard time communicating. I honestly felt a bit peer pressure to have a nail design that I didn't exactly ask for and that's what I'm very disappointed in. When my nails were done, she then prompted me to go wash my hands, but never told me where it's at or didn't even point where the sink was so I had to ask another employee to find the sink. Now I don't mind the nails design itself if it was done better, even though I have spent $65 on it and honestly during the whole appointment I kind of felt uncomfortable even though I did speak up, but just not enough then I should have, but it also doesn't look like the picture I wanted it. I'm pretty disappointed with my appointment and I will not be coming back unless I have another nail tech who I'm pretty sure will do my nails more nicely design wise. This is why communication is very important during any nail appointment and I thought I have communicated my needs, but I guess it wasn't enough to the point where I was peer pressured to do a nail design that I don't even want.

I've had better gel manicures and spa pedicures in the past. Loan, did my pedicure today and that turned out pretty good. The gel manicure, not sure the lady's name, but she was nice, she was in a rush. I came in with my nails pretty even and shaped- now they look uneven minus the thumbs. I let them grow out just for this experience and now some are bumpy, short, polish so close to cuticles that are now also uneven- looks a little sloppy to me and I dont have high expectations in general, but gel manicure was below standards for me. I didn't have an appointment with one of the more experienced folks- so I got what I got, and left.

Came here for a regular manicure and pedicure for the first time. The place was nice, clean, and full like a typical nail salon. My nail tech did a great job with cleaning my nails and applying polish. I chose the citrus deluxe pedicure and it was wonderful. I noticed the nail techs turn on a timer when they do the massage to make sure they're keeping track of the extra time. Recommend!

I came in willy-nilly for a pedicure while I was waiting for my wife to get one, and I came out more satisfied that I expected. I had an amazing experience, especially with the level of detail and how they pamper you. The first thing they do is make you feel at home by offering you a complimentary drink. Even though it's a small gesture, it has a huge impact on experience. I wish other businesses could learn that it's the little things that elevates the experience from "meh" to "amazing"!! I got the cucumber special, and it was amazing from start to finish. The whole process felt tailored from the water cocktail all the way to the massage. Even though it was busy, we had the pleasure speaking and seeing Mimi the owner. The way she ran the business was like watching a small symphony. I would recommend this to anyone especially for men who are hesitant about pedicure.

5/5 -- Milk is incredibly talented; highly recommended for anyone seeking standout, expertly executed nail art.

Went in for a pedicure on July 3rd and the next morning after my shower polish came off on two nails! With it being the holiday I can't even go in to have them fix it. So upsetting knowing I paid for a service that fell short. I asked for regular polish and have never had regular polish peel off like this. I'm thinking the technician used gel polish but since it wasn't cured it peeled right off. I haven't gone to this place in years but decided to give them another try. This is just a reminder why I stopped going.

I had a recent bad injury that has caused me to struggle with getting my nails done. My feet are swollen and scarred. The ladies at Eva Nails were incredibly understanding and Kevin who answered my call offered a Chinese herb soak for my swelling. It was a lovely and accommodating experience! I will be back. Oh and they offer complimentary drinks including coffee!

I came To get my acrylic nails removed. They ended up ripping them off one by one with another nail, which was pretty painful. I thought they were going to soak them and gently remove them and it left my real nails underneath super broken, super brittle and very, very sensitive. I would be weary if you want to get nails removed here.

I've been going to Eva's Nails for a while now and each experience has been phenomenal. I had various nail techs for my pedicures and they've always been super polite and kind while giving the best relaxing service. I also had various nail techs for my acrylic fills and I have not been disappointed. They have one of the best and most skilled technicians in the industry. Best thing of all, their prices are VERY reasonable for high quality services. Appointments: Appointments are very easy to make and are usually one phone call away. I've also have made last minute walk ins and they've always paired me with a great technician. Repairs: Since I work in Supply Chain I unfortunately break a nail or two between appointments. Depending on how bad it is I've gone in to get a few nails repaired and they've been very accommodating and nice about it. Cleanliness: The salon is very clean and you can tell they take great care and pride in the upkeep. Pedicures: They have a great menu for pedicures and I've tried everything from the regular to the premium pedicures. They have comfortable massage chairs and they offer refreshments (and sometimes snacks) during the service. Nail services: I've only tried their acrylics and fill services and as I've mentioned above, they have the best overall team of technicians. They have a wide variety of skills and are up to date with current trends. They have an impressive selection of colors and powders. Most of their techs have Instagrams so you can easily view their portfolio. But as I've said before, I haven't had a tech that disappointmented me with their work. They're all equally acknowledgable and skilled. All in all, I am happy to say that I've finally found my new go-to place and I always look forward to my appointments. HIGHLY recommend. read more

I went in to get a gel manicure and the lady gave me acrylics which I did not want. Instead of offering to fix them and give me what I asked for they said they could take them off, and leave my nails undone. My nails were uneven on both hands and some were longer/thinner and not the same shape which you could clearly see. When she was finished, she told me to get up because she had somebody else waiting, so I didn't even have time to ask the original person to fix my nails. I had to ask the manager if she could fix my nails because I was rushed out of my chair, I have been here in the past for a pedicure, and they were nice to me until this time that I got my "hands" nails done. I super sad at how I was treated and talked to and will not be back.... read more

2 Stars (only because of Mia) I've left a positive review here before because Mia does an incredible job with my nails. She's talented, kind, and truly the only reason I keep coming back. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the pedicure side of Eva Nails. The difference between getting my nails done by Mia and getting a pedicure from anyone else here is honestly night and day. I've had multiple pedicurists over time, and with the exception of maybe one or two, the experience has consistently been unfriendly and rushed. Some examples: - Many pedicurists barely say hello -- if they acknowledge you at all. - One acted like she didn't hear me when I asked for a French pedicure, so I eventually gave up and chose a basic color. - The foot massage felt more aggressive than relaxing, and her whole demeanor suggested she didn't want to be there until I tipped her generously -- THEN she suddenly became attentive. - Another pedicurist didn't respond when I thanked her, and unnecessarily used a drill on a toe that had no gel polish. My nail is now thin and damaged. - One repeatedly tried to upsell me on a more expensive service -- I had to decline multiple times. - I also notice the looks of annoyance when I choose the basic pedicure, even though I prefer putting the extra money towards the technician's tip rather than paying for extras I don't need. I always tip well because I understand pedicures aren't the easiest job, but I can't keep paying for a service where I'm treated poorly. At this point, I'll continue seeing Mia for my nails, but I'll need to find another salon for pedicures -- which is a real inconvenience. I wish the pedicure experience matched the quality and care Mia provides. Until then, I can only recommend Eva Nails for nails--not pedicures. read more

I have been seeing Mia for over a year now. I met her at the old salon she worked at and she now works here and I couldn't help but follow her. She is truly amazing! I cannot see anyone else or go to a different place. I get acrylic and they are always so strong and lasts me over a month. She is very artistic and has a good eye when it comes to helping me choose a color and design. Mia is a pleasure to talk to she is very sweet and kind. I always recommend my friends to her. And there hasn't been a set where I did not get any compliments at all. She knows me so well! Please go see my girl Mia! She is amazing! I also want to say that the people here are so kind! I come here sometimes with my wife and kids. I used to come with Holly, but she unfortunately left. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was very kind and helpful and referred me to another technician I'm really happy with. Every time I visit, I see a young white girl who is always smiling and caring toward everyone. I've been getting my nails done here for a while now. They usually do a decent job and get my nails done quick, but the last visit the lady did a terrible job with a few of my nails. She left them completely slanted / crooked. I had to tell her multiple times to fix it and she asked me in what direction to fix it...like lady...do you not see the direction of the slant??? Anyway, I gave up after numerous times of telling her to fix it and in which direction to file it. Granted, my pointer finger is a little crooked but I've never had issues with other nail techs getting the nail on straight. She was sitting at an angle so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. Either way, terrible experience!! I will find another nail place to go from now on. read more

This is the best salon in San Diego! I've been getting my nails done for 20+ years and this place stands out. Everyone goes out of their way to make your experience enjoyable and relaxing (lovely environment, complimentary drinks, etc.). I went in for a gel mani/pedi and left before the technician finished as she was talking and laughing with her co-worker next her the entire time completely preoccupied. She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and cut 3 of my cuticles down so low they are bleeding and then added something on them so that now they are all stinging and my toes are starting to swell. I paid as times are tough and my feet did soak in warm water but geez I can do that home on my own. Maybe I'll try another technician but I highly doubtful. read more

I got a full set of nails and a spa pedicure. The gentleman who did my nails was so fast but most important listened to what shape i wanted and color and did not hurt me. They are exactly what i wanted so thrilled. The woman who did my pedicure was wonderful my feet were on desperate need now they are sandak ready and she did not hurt me in fact spent extra time on my foot because there was s lump. Lyn does a decent job. Listens and uses a small instrument to clean & finish acrylic nails at the end of the session. The job feels clean & finished at the end. I saw her twice. The first time she was nice. The second time she was unfriendly & even tho I told her I was glad to see her, she was unresponsive and looked mad. I even asked her, "is there a problem?" The encounter made me feel very uncomfortable. She also was making comments with her colleague, Ann, the whole time in Vietnamese, which I don't mind, but had to wonder if they were talking about me. Ann is friendly for the most part, but when she worked on my nails she was answering the phone the entire time. I asked that the acrylic not be too thick. They were thick. One nail fell off after a week and the nails just looked bad after 10 days. I don't think it's fair to Ann or her clients that she is interrupted every 2 minutes taking phone appointments while working on someone's nails. I did not feel listened to as a patron and it was not a pleasant visit. I told Lynn (on my last visit 2 days ago) that I wasn't happy with the thick nails and she asked me "who did them." She insisted in knowing. Itold her it was Ann. That's when she got a serious look and started speaking to Ann who was behind her (in Vietnamese). If they are friends maybe they got offended because of my complaint? Heck, I'm just there to get my nails done right. Sadly, I will not be returning to this salon. Too much drama. read more

One woman had to translate for him and she even apologized to me, and had to show him how to do it. I arrived at 8:45 am and was welcomed by receptionist and informed her that this was my first time ever having microneedling. She reassured me that I made a great decision. I was then taken into a room for pictures of my skin. After the pictures I was taken to the procedure room and did my medical assessment by zoom with the physician assistant. After being cleared the receptionist brought me a bottle water and advised me that Perla had just arrived and she would be in momentarily to go over everything. I waited less than 5 minutes and Perla came in and we had a great conversation about what I wanted to achieve with my skin and my problem areas. Perla then put numbing cream on my face and advised that she would leave it on for 15 minutes. I was really impressed because every question I had about the process she answered and explained everything step by step. After the numbing cream she cleaned my face and put on an astringent and began microneedling. I thought it was going to be painful and that I was going to bleed. It actually tickles in some areas of the face and neck but I did have a little discomfort on the forehead and nose area. After it was over Perla did show me the areas that I had some redness but stated that would go away within a few days. Perla also advised me to use tinted sunscreen and gave me her recommendations on how to care for my skin. I immediately seen a difference and will be scheduling another appointment in 6 weeks for another session. I was really satisfied and highly impressed! Oh! I almost forgot after my service was over I was trying to redeem my Groupon deal and the Groupon site was having problems. I tried to access it several times and the receptionist tried on her end to access the site and nothing was happening. After 20 minutes the receptionist inquired if I would allow her to stay logged into my Groupon and she would take care of it and call me once the payment cleared. I felt bad for leaving unsure about the payment because I had never used Groupon and wanted to make sure that the business was paid for my services. About 10 minutes after I left I received a call from the receptionist that the website was up and running and she was able to redeem the Groupon payment. This was a bonus for me that I patronized an excellent business! I will definitely be back for future services! Thank you Bare Skin Beauty! You're wonderful!

*UPDATE:* After seeing this post, the owner VERBALLY ATTACKED me and called it "bullshit" that I post a bad review in front of quite a few guests. She then would not accept the gift card SHE provided for the poor service I had previously received. I hate to break the news to you, but Yelp is a public platform for people to post their experiences and unfortunately much to your dismay, all my experiences here have been awful. The problem is you don't honor appointments in the greedy attempt to see as many guests as you can. Leaving guests who have booked appts waiting 40 minutes because you decided to squeeze a walk-in guest in front of them is a blatant disregard and lack of respect for everyone's time and money. Then the walk-in guest receives a RUSHED, SLOPPY pedicure/manicure. Yes, if this happened 2 or even 3 times I'd be understanding. But it's EVERY TIME and I have been on both ends of this. There is clearly a serious problem with the way this business is ran. Judging by the temper tantrum and meltdown you had in front of guests for me posting a review i don't predict you'll be in business much longer! Overall: Sandy did my nails and she was wonderful! This salon was busy and they still managed to squeeze in walk-ins (me, my friend and other customers) with very little wait time. Everything was nice and clean. Prices are reasonable. I would make them my regular if I lived in the area. Nails: I don't think I've ever had a full set of pink and whites finished so quickly and still look perfect. I am pretty particular about shape and length and didn't have to point out any nails that needed more filing. My cuticles were pretty trashed when I came in and she was still able to be thorough without hurting me or making me feel judged. My nail beds are usually tender after too and not this time. When they speak Vietnamese I feel like they are talking crap about their clients. It's very awkward and rude especially because they will look at you and laugh. I noticed they now cover their tanks with plastic liners, which is concerning because they didn't used to do this. Makes me Wonder why they are doing it now? I'm giving this place one star because the technician that did my pedicure cut my toe nails too short and caused me to get an ingrown nail. Additionally, I think their prices are way too high. I will say I was a walk in and only had to wait 5 minutes to get seated, so that was nice. I had a great experience at this nail salon. I came in for a pedicure and was really impressed with the service. The staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. The staff are licensed and were very gentle, especially with cuticle cutting, which I've had bad experiences with at other salons. The salon was clean, relaxing, and my pedicure turned out amazing -- they paid attention to detail and didn't rush. Honestly, I could have fallen asleep because I was so relaxed. May has extreme attention to detail and is very precise. The nail shop is super clean and everyone here is very friendly. They are very helpful and professional in their work. This place is a hit or miss depending on which girl you get. I came in on Sunday for a pedicure and the girl who did my pedicure was very quiet, meek and skinny. I told her to be careful when cleaning my cuticles because I've been cut before and she said "okay-okay". So as soon as I finished asking her to be careful she cuts me and it hurt a lot and she just kept going. I just visited Eva Nails recently on my birthday with my mom. We used to go to another place, but I searched online to try and find a new place to try. Eva Nails was the first nail salon to show up with great reviews and they didn't disappoint. It was clean and tasteful inside with nice decorations and comfortable massage chairs. They gave both me and my mom great manicures and pedicures and were very, very friendly. They even served us beverages. Sandy waxed my face and eyebrows and was very thorough, making sure I looked and felt great afterward. This place is the absolute BEST!!! I've been coming here ever since I moved to San Diego from LA and let me tell you the service is IMPECCABLE! Ann is my go to for my nails and when I say these are her nails just stuck on my hands; she literally does whatever she wants and it's a hit every time I trust her FULLY! My customers compliment my nails everyday because of her. As for my toes, Angie is my girl! These 2 keep me looking and feeling good and a mimosa while they work.... YES PLEASE! I love that when it's the holidays, they have 10% off coupons. I believe they get sent to you, if you're stay around the neighbor hood. Anywho, I came in on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy, which is shocking cause it was raining. I guess everyone had the same idea as me! I got a pedicure and a fill. I asked for same time but they were too busy so they had to do it separate, which I completely understand. I don't remember the ladies names but they both gave me a relaxing time there. I was offered a complimentary drink, and I went with a mimosa. I got a $35 pedicure in the scent lavender. (It smelled so good). I'll definitely take my mom and sisters here. read more

Eva Nails was a huge letdown. The service was rushed, and the results were subpar. I won't be returning to this salon after such a disappointing experience. I had high hopes for Eva Nails, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The staff seemed disinterested, and the quality of the nail work left much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend Eva Nails to anyone. The overall experience was far from satisfactory, and I felt like my money was wasted on a subpar manicure. Eva Nails was a terrible choice. After a busy week, nothing better than go and visit my friends from eva nails, I get there, they instantly recognize me and without appointment they invite me to sit and relax in one of their massage chairs, getting a pedicure with their lovely music and a glass of wine in hand. Fantastic feeling! Sandy is such a nice and professional woman! She always gives the best suggestions. She does my manicure every time I go, I have had always an outstanding service! I went there for the first time, today, and I got a mani/pedi. I must say that both the mani and pedi were terrific! I have had many good manicures at other salons, but it is hard to find a great pedicure -- this was it! I splurged and got one of their special ones, and it was delightful! For an hour, this tired mama was wonderfully pampered! My nails turned out beautifully, and I would go back in a heartbeat! I did not have an appointment, but I did not have to wait. My first time here at Eva Nails! I have been looking for a great nail place and finally found one. I will not look anymore. The sweet Woman names Ann did mine and she did a great job on coffin nails and her free style snowflakes. Most of all she went out of her way to find my color I wanted for my birthday. Truly love Sandy at Eva Nails. I went for my first time there and asked for ombre and they were not done correctly. Since I walked in without an appointment, I was given a random nail artist. I went back the next day and explained that I was very unhappy with how they turned out. Even though Sandy is usually too booked to take walk-ins so she never does, she took me to ensure that they would be fixed correctly and she did a wonderful job. On top of that, the fix was free of charge and she did not even allow me to tip her. Definitely found my new nail place, and new nail lady! read more
