Not happy about my experience here. I remember the times when I used to come here and the service was so good. Now, it's so busy, and I feel based on my service today, it was terrible. And, I hate to say that but it's true. I called to find out what a basic manicure was priced at and that was what I wanted. I asked the girl if there was availability this afternoon and she said yes. I told her I was approximately five minutes away. I was looking forward for my manicure today, however, they never gave it to me. When I sat down she began to file my nails rapidly like it was a race. Then, she started painting my nails. I knew at this point, I was not getting a manicure. I was so upset that I did not want to say anything It's not my job to babysit the workers who get paid including tips from their clients to tell them what service i needed . It was spoken about clearly, a basic manicure! How can anyone misunderstand that? So, she proceeded to paint my nails, and I paid and left a very unsatisfied customer. The receptionist on the phone needs to make sure she is accurate so clients are getting what they ask for or why bother answering the phone. Obviously, there is no reason to return.

I've had better gel manicures and spa pedicures in the past. Loan, did my pedicure today and that turned out pretty good. The gel manicure, not sure the lady's name, but she was nice, she was in a rush. I came in with my nails pretty even and shaped- now they look uneven minus the thumbs. I let them grow out just for this experience and now some are bumpy, short, polish so close to cuticles that are now also uneven- looks a little sloppy to me and I dont have high expectations in general, but gel manicure was below standards for me. I didn't have an appointment with one of the more experienced folks- so I got what I got, and left.

I've been coming to Eva nails for years and I've had a great experience every time. The staff is so nice and Milk has been doing my nails for a while now and he's the best. Highly recommend!

Came here for a regular manicure and pedicure for the first time. The place was nice, clean, and full like a typical nail salon. My nail tech did a great job with cleaning my nails and applying polish. I chose the citrus deluxe pedicure and it was wonderful. I noticed the nail techs turn on a timer when they do the massage to make sure they're keeping track of the extra time. Recommend!

Susan!! Always does an amazing job. I really think Eva nails has the best prices in Rancho and the quality is great. They are always super nice and make it a priority to fit me into the schedule if I don't have appointments. Susan for nails and eyebrows is my girl! Couldn't recommend her enough.

I came in willy-nilly for a pedicure while I was waiting for my wife to get one, and I came out more satisfied that I expected. I had an amazing experience, especially with the level of detail and how they pamper you. The first thing they do is make you feel at home by offering you a complimentary drink. Even though it's a small gesture, it has a huge impact on experience. I wish other businesses could learn that it's the little things that elevates the experience from "meh" to "amazing"!! I got the cucumber special, and it was amazing from start to finish. The whole process felt tailored from the water cocktail all the way to the massage. Even though it was busy, we had the pleasure speaking and seeing Mimi the owner. The way she ran the business was like watching a small symphony. I would recommend this to anyone especially for men who are hesitant about pedicure.

I had a recent bad injury that has caused me to struggle with getting my nails done. My feet are swollen and scarred. The ladies at Eva Nails were incredibly understanding and Kevin who answered my call offered a Chinese herb soak for my swelling. It was a lovely and accommodating experience! I will be back. I just wanna say that this is my first time here and sadly I won't be coming back (unless I find another nail tech artist who actually listens to my needs). I only went to this place because I heard good reviews as well as it's the closest to my home. So I walked in having high hopes, and I even brought up a reference picture. After checking in for my appointment for a gel-x fill, I went to go see my nail tech and I went to say hello but she didn't say hello back. Whatever. So then I showed her my reference photo and I want all white. Now I understand if I couldn't see the flowers if it's the same white nail color, which is why she suggested a different color that I didn't even ask. Not even like a white purple/blue color just so we can see the flowers better. Also, I know I should've spoken up more, which I had three times that I want to be a classic white French tip with daisies. But she insisted on using a shade of purple that I didn't even ask for. But not only that, but I feel like she couldn't speak English fluently because half of the time she was speaking to me in full Vietnamese, which I had a hard time communicating. I honestly felt a bit peer pressure to have a nail design that I didn't exactly ask for and that's what I'm very disappointed in. When my nails were done, she then prompted me to go wash my hands, but never told me where it's at or didn't even point where the sink was so I had to ask another employee to find the sink. Now I don't mind the nails design itself if it was done better, even though I have spent $65 on it and honestly during the whole appointment I kind of felt uncomfortable even though I did speak up, but just not enough then I should have, but it also doesn't look like the picture I wanted it. I'm pretty disappointed with my appointment and I will not be coming back unless I have another nail tech who I'm pretty sure will do my nails more nicely design wise. This is why communication is very important during any nail appointment and I thought I have communicated my needs, but I guess it wasn't enough to the point where I was peer pressured to do a nail design that I don't even want.

I've been coming to Anne for years and she's the only person I'll see. She does EXACTLY what you want. I learned the hard way that what I want and what looks good are two different things. So now I will take her suggestions to heart and she's never be led me wrong. I get powder dip and it's hard to find someone who can do well and fast. In the past I tried places they take twice as long and they look like they took half the time. That's why I always come to Anne at Eva's. She's been doing this for a very long time and has a good eye for trends and new colors. Often she will mix powders for me to create a new color off menu. Not only do my nails look perfect when I leave but she does in an epic amount of time which is important to me with the young children. Please call ahead as she is very busy and sought after. She will fit you in within 48 hours max, most of the time same day. A big bonus is that they offer FREE wine and mimosas and other drinks if you are thirsty, was more to want? There is a car wash across the street might as well get that done too, and grab a tasty cone from DQ or shawarma if you have a larger appetite. read more

Website does not provided prices. Had been there many years ago, when I worked near by to have gel manicure and they did a good job. This time needed a pedicure, I normally go to a place in Palm Desert where my Mom lives. Called to make appt, person on phone curt and semi rude. Went next day, it was pretty packed at 10:30am. Figured it was their first customers at 10:00am when they open. At 11:00, not as crowded. Don't know persons name who serviced me, they did not introduce themselves. They pick the color for you, from 3 color boards, you are given. You make your selection. More hygienic this way which is a plus. She did a good job. They give you a menu and ask what do you want. I just went with regular pedicure. Good price, $22.00 which I found very reasonable. After done, paid in cash and was encouraged to leave but I sat outside for another 15 mins to make sure the nail polish dried before leaving. Place is clean. Chairs work with massage. I like my regular place in the desert better but for SD, this is close by, clean and reasonably priced. read more

Thanh (sorry if I misspelled your name) did my nails. She did great as far as doing what I asked & improvising based on me wanting red bottoms. She tried something new & was willing to learn a different technique/style to accomplish what I want. For that I'd give a 4.5/5. The extensive time I spent in the salon is the only reason why it's not a 5 star. However Thanh I appreciate the service & laughs. I'm proud of you for the execution of this set. If you luck out with one of the good ones, it's great. But I've had multiple terrible manicures and it's just not worth the money. Everybody is so kind and a free mimosa with a pedicure is great but the quality just isn't consistent enough to go back. read more

I called ahead asking for acrylic soak off and then gel manicure and pedicure. If it wouldn't of been the nail techs birthday I would of got yo and left but she first told me my nails were so damaged but it's because she instead of letting my nails soak for 10+ mins was going as fast as she could to remove them destroying my real nails and leaving them all misshapen. Service was rushed and both my nail tech Ann and the woman doing my pedicure kept looking around during the filing cutting me 2 times on my toes putting some mysterious stinging product on my cuts and when I asked what it was she just showed me a non labeled bottle and smiled? It's a shame I really enjoyed the different offerings for pedicures but if you want someone to take their time and truly focus I would suggest going to a different place. My toe nails and finger nails are all different shaped will not be back.. read more

This was my first time there. They are close to home so I was hoping it would be good. The lady I got was way too harsh and hurt my pinky finger, I kept pulling away to signal to stop and she wasn't completely listening. I had them take off the polish so I could then go home and put medicine on it. To top it off they charged me when it should have been free after she messed it all up. The cut is a bit under the nail where she was roughly filing and using the cuticle tool and now the pinky is in pain. Don't go here if you want to get charged for their mistakes. read more

Dropped in on a Saturday they were packed with people waiting. But they got me in with only a ten minute wait. Ann did my nails and she listened. This is a welcoming salon. They have a iPad to sign in and an awards program. The day I went it was randomly a 10% off day. I was offered a drink and I happily accepted a mimosa. The pedicure was fine--standard. I wish the massage was more on my feet than calves but that's not just here. It was clean and I walked right in. I'll be back. read more

If you can't give an approximate time, please tell people so they don't waste their time. Very unprofessional. I had the worst experience with this place. I was so humiliated. I came into this facility on June 29th which was Thursday. The very next day two of my nails broke off because they were extremely thin. I called it in on Friday to see if they could fix it for me before the Fourth of July they told me that they were didn't be able to there was no time so I had to wait until July 5th since they were closed for the 4th. So I waited, finally the time came I went right after work I had a called previously before coming in to let them know they were aware they had me wait an hour before even taking care of me. Then they try to convince me to keep the nails and they were just gonna redo the two nails that broke off and at that time I just wanted to take them completely off. Mind you I paid $60 for full set plus I always give a $20 tip. So I let them convinced me to take them off and he was in the process of taking off my nails and he was trying to rip them off and he stabbed my nail. After that I was dead set on him just taking them completely off. So they left me there with my hands drenched in that liquid stuff until they melted off and he was just upset. And in my mind I had just spent $80 on a set of nails that only lasted me less than 4 days.. and before leaving he had the nerve to tell me that my next step would be half off. This was probably the worst experience I have ever had they should have given me a refund not only did he stop my nails but he still file them down to the core I have to wait to grow my nails back out and I am so disgusted to even show them. I definitely do not recommend this place they do not have good service. I left with a swollen finger after he cracked my nail you can tell by the photos that I posted. Do not go to this place. read more

First time here. Sloppily done dip/gel manicure. Ann did not trim my cuticles, nor did she massage my hands. She had to answer the phone every 3 minutes to schedule or cancel clients...very disruptive to personal care. $50 for that... Had a pedicure right after...it was good. $25 for that. I used a gift certificate that someone gave me, so now that it's spent, I have no reason to come back read more

I arrived at 8:45 am and was welcomed by receptionist and informed her that this was my first time ever having microneedling. She reassured me that I made a great decision. I was then taken into a room for pictures of my skin. After the pictures I was taken to the procedure room and did my medical assessment by zoom with the physician assistant. After being cleared the receptionist brought me a bottle water and advised me that Perla had just arrived and she would be in momentarily to go over everything. I waited less than 5 minutes and Perla came in and we had a great conversation about what I wanted to achieve with my skin and my problem areas. Perla then put numbing cream on my face and advised that she would leave it on for 15 minutes. I was really impressed because every question I had about the process she answered and explained everything step by step. After the numbing cream she cleaned my face and put on an astringent and began microneedling. I thought it was going to be painful and that I was going to bleed. It actually tickles in some areas of the face and neck but I did have a little discomfort on the forehead and nose area. After it was over Perla did show me the areas that I had some redness but stated that would go away within a few days. Perla also advised me to use tinted sunscreen and gave me her recommendations on how to care for my skin. I immediately seen a difference and will be scheduling another appointment in 6 weeks for another session. I was really satisfied and highly impressed! Oh! I almost forgot after my service was over I was trying to redeem my Groupon deal and the Groupon site was having problems. I tried to access it several times and the receptionist tried on her end to access the site and nothing was happening. After 20 minutes the receptionist inquired if I would allow her to stay logged into my Groupon and she would take care of it and call me once the payment cleared. I felt bad for leaving unsure about the payment because I had never used Groupon and wanted to make sure that the business was paid for my services. About 10 minutes after I left I received a call from the receptionist that the website was up and running and she was able to redeem the Groupon payment. *UPDATE:* After seeing this post, the owner VERBALLY ATTACKED me and called it "bullshit" that I post a bad review in front of quite a few guests. She then would not accept the gift card SHE provided for the poor service I had previously received. I hate to break the news to you, but Yelp is a public platform for people to post their experiences and unfortunately much to your dismay, all my experiences here have been awful. The problem is you don't honor appointments in the greedy attempt to see as many guests as you can. Leaving guests who have booked appts waiting 40 minutes because you decided to squeeze a walk-in guest in front of them is a blatant disregard and lack of respect for everyone's time and money. Then the walk-in guest receives a RUSHED, SLOPPY pedicure/manicure. Yes, if this happened 2 or even 3 times I'd be understanding. But it's EVERY TIME and I have been on both ends of this. There is clearly a serious problem with the way this business is ran. Judging by the temper tantrum and meltdown you had in front of guests for me posting a review i don't predict you'll be in business much longer! Overall: Sandy did my nails and she was wonderful! This salon was busy and they still managed to squeeze in walk-ins (me, my friend and other customers) with very little wait time. Everything was nice and clean. Prices are reasonable. I would make them my regular if I lived in the area. Nails: I don't think I've ever had a full set of pink and whites finished so quickly and still look perfect. I am pretty particular about shape and length and didn't have to point out any nails that needed more filing. My cuticles were pretty trashed when I came in and she was still able to be thorough without hurting me or making me feel judged. My nail beds are usually tender after too and not this time. Thanks Sandy! I didn't catch the name of the manicurist my friend had but she did a great job also and seemed very sweet. Other: The pedicure stations looked cozy and seemed popular. When they speak Vietnamese I feel like they are talking crap about their clients. It's very awkward and rude especially because they will look at you and laugh. I noticed they now cover their tanks with plastic liners, which is concerning because they didn't used to do this. Makes me Wonder why they are doing it now? I'm giving this place one star because the technician that did my pedicure cut my toe nails too short and caused me to get an ingrown nail. Additionally, I think their prices are way too high. I will say I was a walk in and only had to wait 5 minutes to get seated, so that was nice. However, had I known what a terrible job the technician was going to do I would have walked out and gone elsewhere. I will not be coming back to this place and can't say I would recommend. read more

I had a great experience at this nail salon. I came in for a pedicure and was really impressed with the service. The staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. The staff are licensed and were very gentle, especially with cuticle cutting, which I've had bad experiences with at other salons. The salon was clean, relaxing, and my pedicure turned out amazing -- they paid attention to detail and didn't rush. Honestly, I could have fallen asleep because I was so relaxed. This place is a hit or miss depending on which girl you get. I came in on Sunday for a pedicure and the girl who did my pedicure was very quiet, meek and skinny. I told her to be careful when cleaning my cuticles because I've been cut before and she said "okay-okay". So as soon as I finished asking her to be careful she cuts me and it hurt a lot and she just kept going. I understand that it was an accident and things like that happen all the time, but this technician seemed very slow or perhaps she didn't understand english. I just visited Eva Nails recently on my birthday with my mom. We used to go to another place, but I searched online to try and find a new place to try. Eva Nails was the first nail salon to show up with great reviews and they didn't disappoint. It was clean and tasteful inside with nice decorations and comfortable massage chairs. They gave both me and my mom great manicures and pedicures and were very, very friendly. They even served us beverages. I love that when it's the holidays, they have 10% off coupons. I believe they get sent to you, if you're stay around the neighbor hood. Anywho, I came in on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy, which is shocking cause it was raining. I guess everyone had the same idea as me! I got a pedicure and a fill. My first time here at Eva Nails! I have been looking for a great nail place and finally found one. I will not look anymore. The sweet Woman names Ann did mine and she did a great job on coffin nails and her free style snowflakes. Most of all she went out of her way to find my color I wanted for my birthday. Truly love Sandy at Eva Nails. I went for my first time there and asked for ombre and they were not done correctly. Since I walked in without an appointment, I was given a random nail artist. I went back the next day and explained that I was very unhappy with how they turned out. Even though Sandy is usually too booked to take walk-ins so she never does, she took me to ensure that they would be fixed correctly and she did a wonderful job. On top of that, the fix was free of charge and she did not even allow me to tip her. Definitely found my new nail place, and new nail lady! read more

It's a bit more old-fashioned - instead of folders of colors to choose, you select from their wall of polishes, many of which looked old. They have lots of well-worn towels and mismatched decor, so it looks a little rundown. But the ladies were nice and efficient. I went with my teenage daughter who doesn't prefer cutting her cuticles, which they respected. But then didn't offer any massage or scrubs for her either, which I was surprised by. The lady who did my pedicure offered a really great massage and scrub. Overall, it's a great time if you're looking to save on the experience and lower your expectations compared to other salons. I'm not a fancy nail person and don't use gel polish, so I like it for what I'm looking for. Will be back!

No big deal I thought, everyone has a bad day! But then she proceeded to do my nails and literally made almost every single one of my fingers bleed! Like blood was coming out! Coming to the salon should be relaxing, but she made me stress out so much that my hands started shaking! Couldn't enjoy the pedicure that I was getting done at the same time at all!!!! I'm including a picture, and mind you that's after cleaning up all the blood. And it's only my left hand, my right one is worse!!! Very disappointed with my experience at Serenity Nail and Spa in La Mesa. I had a 12:15 p.m…read more appointment on September 3, the day before a friend's wedding, and unfortunately my manicure was already ruined within minutes of leaving the salon. I was the only client there, yet my service felt extremely rushed. My nail technician used a fan to dry my nails and then had me pay while they were still wet. While paying, one of my nails smeared and had to be redone. She fixed that finger, told me to "be careful" and make sure my nails dried, and then sent me on my way. I walked about five minutes home. By the time I simply entered my house, my thumb and another finger were badly smudged and ruined. I wasn't doing anything strenuous--I literally walked home and opened my front door. I understand that regular polish takes time to dry, but for the price of a professional manicure, I expect the salon to allow enough drying time before having me pay and leave. If a nail had already smeared before I even left the salon, that should have been an indication that they weren't ready. The most frustrating part is that I specifically scheduled this manicure because I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. Instead of having professionally finished nails for the event, I'm now having to fix them myself at home. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Based on my experience and how quickly my manicure was ruined, I would not recommend Serenity Nail and Spa if you need your nails done for an important event.
