Half of the food was expired. When I came home and ate it, it tasted bad and I had diarrhea. Cake was so-so. Kartoshka , made out of old cakes was eww, couldn't eat. Bakery were wonderful, besides that they misled regarding pastry with mushroom. 10 % mushroom and rest of it cabbage. Id buy only korzinki and some of the pastry. Excited to find this new Euro Gourmet in Maple Grove! We bought fresh baked peroshky's!! Our favorite were the meat filled, cheese filled, and the cabbage potato! Flaky and fresh! Sadly the business closed. It was nice to buy produce from back home nearby and always know I can get my favorite buckwheat and halva.

This place has really delicious fresh salads. Carrot salad was beyond perfect. So fresh and taste amazing. Samsa was very delicious Must try! Everything taste great. Definitely coming back for more. read more

Well, it seems that the store hit a new low. I was there last Thursday ( June 6) and I found a cheese apricot cake. However, the expiration date was March 27, 2013. When I brought it to the counter and asked the sales person if they had any more, she said they did not. Then she proceeded to ask me if I am going to purchase the cake, which expired more then two months ago (!!!!) When I said, its expired, she was very displeased. Today, I was there again and long and behold, there was the exact the same cake, but the sticker with the expiration date was peeled off. You could still see the glue residue on the bottom of the package. So, yeah, expired cakes they sell. Dear Euro Gourmet, we are done!!! read more

I found out about this place when my father and I decided to try an Indian restaurant in the same strip mall. There used to be a store called The Russian Gallery, but it appears to have disappeared and I think this might have taken its place or maybe it just morphed. The sign is a bit misleading. From the store front you would assume that it is a very small area with nothing but deli items and some prepared food; however, it is larger than I was expecting and had much more to offer than sliced meats. Euro Gourmet reminds me of the Russian stores in Pittsburgh. It has a little bit of everything. If you've been to Kiev Foods, then you will already have an idea of what to expect: Deli meats, pastries, boxes of juice, pickled items, cards in Russian, tea sets, wall hangings, candies, etc. I convinced my dad that he should say "thank you" (spasibo: spa-see-ba) to the women working the register after the purchase was complete. She got a kick out of it and told him in Russian that he was welcome and to come again soon, which I had to translate for him when we left the store. read more

My five stars are specifically for the baker and their bakery section (NOT packaged/frozen cakes). I do not recommend their deli - it's not bad or anything, but it's expensive and less fresh than other Russian stores in the area. But forget all that. The bakery is the best I have found in the US, including dozens in NJ and Cleveland. I have purchased treats for home many times, and I ordered 3 Napoleon sheet cakes from them for my wedding. People are still talking about that cake a month later. The store was great to deal with in the process. read more

So happy there is now a new Russian/European store in Maple Grove!!!! The owner seemed very nice... the store itself is tiny, but it's clean and fresh... they offer a very nice selection of all my favorite sweets & snacks I was so excited to see my favorite "stolichny" candy that I couldn't find for a while in any other Russian stores... I really only have tried the deli food here, so take that as it is. The highlight of their food is definitely the cheese blintzs - creamy and delicious, I added some cherries at home and I can't stop, won't stop. The chicken liver pate is strongly flavored, but it stands up to pickled beets and onions, which was perfect for me. The fine: herring salad - the bones were off putting to me. read more

While it's not a market you'd find in Russia, I was thoroughly impressed by their selection. They have a few dozen types of Russian/Ukrainian candies and groceries to satisfy any cravings as well as some souvenirs. As for the service, I had a fine experience. I asked the woman behind the desk about a product and she went in the back to grab it for me. When I decided to purchase something else, she offered to re-shelve it for me. There is nothing Gourmet about this place. Everything had a very weird taste to it. Almost like when you over and over again, take something out of a freezer and put it back in. The cake was very hard and had a very weird frozen taste to it. I am 100% all for supporting family businesses, (I buy from the family owned pizza shop next door 2 times a week), but this place was not good. read more

What a disappointment I had after visiting the store!!!!!!!!! Actually I was not allowed to go inside. My husband and I were in Minneapolis and we were going to stop at the store on the way back to Bismarck . The sign said it was open from 10 till six.We were there at nine. I was ready to leave when the lady who was inside opened the door and asked what we wanted. I explained that we were traveling and I wanted to buy grocery from her. She asked some kid the permission and locked the door without any explanation. I have never experienced anything like that. My husband and I were very disappointed with the service and attitude.Obviously we were not going to spend $10 over there and buy some deli. I had a long grocery list.
