Paris Baguette is hands down one of my favorite spots for both coffee and pastries. Every time I walk in, everything looks fresh, clean, and beautifully displayed--it's honestly hard to choose just one thing. The pastries are consistently soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Their cakes are also top-tier--light, fresh, and perfect for any occasion. The drinks are just as good. I really love this place! I highly recommend that you try it. Parking is usually alright but can be busy. When you first walk in grab a tray to your right and some paper squares to pick up items. There are pastries both forward to the left as well as to the right. Also don't miss the cakes to the left of the check out counter. My favorite thing to grab is the fruit tart! I usually pick up a coffee to eat with my pastry. In terms of service I do say the staff is busy and does not interact as much as I like but the food makes up for it. The atmosphere inside does vary. I had a friend visiting and took her to Paris baguette. She loved the super cute decor and all the fun amazing options. All of the croissants and cakes looked so beautiful and crispy. I like the self serve style makes it easy to see and grab multiple options. They have a nice mix of savory and sweet options I tried the crab one and a sweet croissant donut with lemon filling the coffee is really good too! Only complaint is the flaky nature of the pastries leave the floor and chairs looking very crummy and even saw a cup and straw wrappers on the floor. maybe they just need a little extra sweeping throughout the day. I really like a good pastry selection and PB provides exactly what I need. Probably the closest thing in Northwest suburbs to a European bakery? Others make a good point though, you can get into trouble grabbing what looks good, it's easy to rack up a bill putting items on that tray! You know what though, I don't even care. I always end up walking out with a $50 bill, minimum. My household likes to sample, so I pick a variety of things, nothing the same, bring it home and cut into shareable pieces. The mini quiches are great, braided chocolate chip doughnut thing is awesome, croissants of any flavor are fantastic and I've never gone wrong just picking things that are visually appealing. I love the fruit pastries here their center cream filling custard is so delicious more so than any place else I like to get the fruit pastries here and I like to get the cheese and pastries at Tous Les Jours which is located down the street. I decided to stop by since I was in the area and heard so much good things. Variety of pastries galore...from sweet to savory. Quite spendy though.... I got a baguette, two different types of quiche ( Quiche Lorraine and 4 Cheese Quiche), a Chausson aux Pomme ( French Apple Turnover), and a cookie. The cookie was displayed right by the register to trigger impulse buying! I was astonished by the price which came to $37.88 total. Quite spendy for just a box of pastries and a baguette. The variety of gorgeous pastries you see when you enter Paris Baguette is a little overwhelming. I'd looked at the online menu in advance and thought "They can't possibly have all those things!" But it seemed they did, or close enough. That made it hard to choose what I wanted to try. Since there were no whole baguettes left, a sandwich on one was necessary; I went with traditional ham & cheese and it was as good as any I have had anywhere. Since it had been wrapped and refrigerated, I don't feel like I could properly evaluate crust on the baguette, but the taste was fine. I looked longingly at the gorgeous cakes, but in the end picked a plain croissant, cheese quiche (more of a small pastry than the gooey entrée) and a cream cheese pastry to eat later. I didn't have much staff interaction, but they were friendly and quick to explain things. The bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the seating area is fairly large and inviting. The one disappointing thing was the brewed coffee. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. like I would have hoped in a place serving French pastries. The pastries I ate later were all excellent, flaky and buttery. Easily makes it into my top 5 croissant places in the Twin Cities; I have only had one that is better. Maple Grove is a bit of a drive for me, but if I ever needed an assortment of pastries or a special cake, this would be the place to go. read more

Love the new Paris Baguette location in Maple Grove. It is clean and bright, and the employees are always friendly and efficient. The coffee drinks are yummy, and the baked goods...oh my! We generally only purchase pastries for special occasions, as the prices are $5-7 per item, but when we do splurge, it's totally worth it! They have a great selection of savory and sweet, slices and full cakes. I recently tried their Iced Cookie Butter Macchiato, and this is where it's at! The sauce tastes just like Biscoff cookies!!! Upon seeing some videos online, I marked this place to try. When I drove by, the lot seemed fairly busy so I decided to place an online order for pickup a little later and run another errand. Ordering online was easy enough and the pick up time wasn't too far out from when I placed my order. They had a good selection of food and sweets, everything is displayed very nicely online with pictures and descriptions. Upon entering, it was clean but very busy with people browsing the options in the self serve area. Walking by the self serve area, I was glad I ordered online because if i walked in, I would have walked out with a larger order. There were so many good looking items, I will be visiting again to try something new. I was able to pick up my order at the counter after a short wait. The staff were professional and friendly. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Soufflé Cheesecake Slice. Both were delicious and I liked how the cheesecake wasn't dense and heavy like other cheesecakes and had a mirror glaze on top. Also pictured: Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice. Not pictured: Sourdough Turkey Melt. I was told both of those were good as well but the melt would be better toasted. It didn't look like a melt, but more like a deli sandwich. We ordered it warmed but I was surprised how it didn't look like a melt. My first bit of advice is, don't let your eyes get you into trouble! At $4-7 per baked item (in the case) these goodies aren't cheap so choose wisely. That said, there's a wide variety of sweet and savory treats to try. The baked goods in the cases are self serve, meaning you grab them yourself. Upon entering you'll want to take a (clean) tray, which is located next to the cases. In front of all cases are boxes of wax paper, which you'll use to grab your items (don't use your bare hands) and place on your tray. If you're only getting one thing you may not need the tray, but definitely use the wax paper. I recommend doing a lap to see all options and determine what you really want before you grabbing treats. Here's what I got (for $26 pre-tip): 1) Hashbrown bread with Ham and Cheese - 6.5/10. The bread is soft and filled with potato, a sliver of cheese, and a little bit of ham. You can request that it be warmed up, which I did. 2)Chocolate Hazelnut Cake with Nutella - a yellow based sponge cake, with a chocolate whipped frosting. Despite the chocolate, as well as Hazelnut and Nutella in it, it's not at all heavy or overly sweet. 8/10 3)Coconut creme croissant. - it's filled with a coconut cream that is a mix of mousse and custard. It's also topped with coconut flakes. The croissant is soft and chewy. 9/10 4)Peach Iced Tea - it's already sweetened, and to me the sugar level is just right. While the Peach flavor is subtle, it's there. 9/10 At noon on a Wednesday, it wasn't crowded which made browsing the treats, finding a table, and getting checked out easy. This is a place that brought me back to my childhood. I felt like a kid in front of a window full of delicious pastries. You get to pick and fill up your little tray with your own selection of pastries. They offer a nice variety of sweet and savory treats. There are also cakes, bread, to go lunch sandwiches, and cold/hot drinks. It's so hard to choose what to get that it almost becomes overwhelming, but whatever you decide to pick, just know it's going to be delicious! The staff member at check out was friendly and packaged our items nicely into a box. The cafe has a nice seating area that occupied half the place. It was a bit busy and I felt the tables and chairs were a little too close to each other so it made the place look crowded. One of my go to places now when I want a little treat. The chocolate Supreme croissant is my favorite by far- it crunchy on the outside, buttery on the inside and filled with chocolate cream on the inside too for a nice chocolatey surprise. I would definitely recommend getting your goodies in the morning as I found that sometimes the baked goodies later in the day doesn't taste as fresh. I think the service there could be a little better but I would still give it grace because they are still new. The prices where I think are a little higher than its competitors in the area. First time at Paris Baguette! Right when you walk in, I was a little confused about how to order. I had walked around the pastries and saw it was self serve but I was really interested in the lunch items they had online. I didn't see any actual "food" items. I approached the cashier and asked if they had menus or how I could order lunch items. The cashier was confused and said everything was in the cases. I went back with my tray and did another lap.. sure enough the Buffalo grilled cheese that I was looking for was in the refrigerator section. I thought that was strange that the items need to be reheated and are not made to order. The prices were also pretty high in my opinion. $14 for a buffalo grilled cheese sandwich is crazy! Regardless I had my sandwich warmed up and was still cold on the inside :( I was disappointed at the dirty tables and lack of items in the cases. I did like the atmosphere and the items I did order were good, just expensive for what it is. I wish there was more customer service involved. Specifically to try the almond croissant. My sister and I took an adventure here from St. Paul and let me tell you, absolutely worth it. As soon as you walk in the door the goods are right there. My eyes became SO large by the endless choices staring at me. I turned to a kind lady and asked her how this all worked as this was our first time here. She explained it to us and we went a little pastry crazy. It's really hard not to as it smells so yummy in here and everything looks so good. There is a wide variety of both sweet and savory. Lots of unique options as well. Hands down my favorites were the almond croissant and butter pecan supreme croissant. They are perfectly buttery, flakey, flavorful, and delicious. The filling in them is superb! The bakery is colorful, bright, vibrant, and clean. I've never been to France, but this is what I imagine it would be like. I like how it's self serve for the pasties. Cakes and coffee are also offered which you are able to order at the counter when you checkout. I enjoyed a vanilla latte and it was excellent. Not too sweet, just right. Heard about this place from a customer at work, and they said Its a must. Easy to find, have their own parking lot and good looking cafe on the inside. Walk in and you grab a tray and then start to get whatever you want. I went to try their breakfast sandwich but they were all out, so I tried a ham and cheese croissant, some kind of hot dog pastry and I signed up on their app and got a free strawberry lemon pastry. Everything was fresh and delicious, hardest part was deciding out of everything. I was told I could order early in the day to get the breakfast sandwich and pick it up later. Staff was friendly, but I will say I was kind of lost when I first went in cause no one helped me til I got to the counter, so I just watched everyone else lol. I will be going back and trying more things, possibly for Valentine's Day since they have some special pastries for it. Paris Baguette has a great website that piqued my interest. But I still wasn't prepared for what I found when I visited for my first time. A very popular place, even in a sub-zero wind-chill Saturday morning. Parking lot was full but able to get a spot that someone was vacating. The bakery items are "pick out yourself", think like KwikTrip. Grab a tray at the door, along with a tissue paper to grab a pastry. Pastries are stocked in clear, plastic cabinets. Slide open a door to grab your selection. Everyone and their mom decided to arrive at the same time...traffic jam at the door and cabinets. As you head to the front counter to pay, you'll pass my a Market Fresh deli fridge that is filled with pre-packaged deli sandwiches and salads. I saw these online but thought they were made to order (like Panera). They're still made fresh daily though. I grabbed a tuna on baguette, while sis got a chicken salad wrap. At the front counter, you can order hot/ cold beverages. I got a small iced caramel macchiatto and sis got a small peach iced tea. Pastries were boxes up and we had to wait/ hover for a table to become available in the cafe. As we were eating, the 11am rush was over. My tuna baguette was okay. Bread=soft and chewy. Tuna was a little dry. I was missing/left craving a pickle and potato chips. Don't think I would get again. My iced caramel macchiato was delicious though!! That I'll come back for. read more

Buyer Beware: No Refunds for Missing Items in Online Orders I want to share a frustrating experience to help others avoid the same situation. I placed an online order for pickup, expecting everything to be ready when I arrived. Instead, two items were missing, and I was given a note with no other explanation or recourse. So I asked more questions and they said I would have to come back at 2:30 or schedule another day to pick it up. That's when I learned something shocking: this business does not offer refunds for online orders--even when the items are unavailable at the time of pickup. Their policy is to ask customers to return another day, regardless of inconvenience or circumstance. After some back-and-forth, I was able to negotiate receiving substitute items they had on hand. But those items were of lesser value than what I originally paid for, meaning I still had to eat the cost for something that wasn't my fault. I ordered in good faith, and I expected either the items I paid for or a refund. Instead, I was left covering the difference for a mistake that wasn't mine. I love this place! I have been to few of the Paris Baguette and only have gotten their drinks and pastry. I was so excited to see one in MN, and I purchased a cake for my son's birthday. I picked up a few pastry, a sandwich, a drink and a baguette in addition of the cake. The employees are kind enough to allow me to eat first and hold on the cake for me for a bit. The employees have been keeping the pastries stock up while I was there. I could tell employees are still in training as some still seem like they are learning, trying to figure things out. But the store is very clean and organized. I like the egg salad sandwich I had, and the lavender matcha frappe. The red velvet cake we ordered is amazing!!! Fluffy and not rich. I have tried a few different cake flavors here and all of them were delicious. The coffee drinks we tried were just okay. Every time i see Paris Baguette, when I go to a different state I want to try it out. This was my first time there and now, I'm hooked! I ordered a pepperoni pizzetta and a ham and cheese pastry. It's nice to see bakeries like this pop up in the Twin Cities area! I love the self serve option and the variety the bakery offers. They also have a good amount of drink options for all your caffeine and non-caffeine needs. This location is clean and the space can get tight at times, but overall I haven't had an issue with navigating within it. I heard about their grand opening in the summer but never made a trip. So finally had an opportunity to go shop for a cake. My family loves asian fruit cakes too. This cafe was busy, full of customers dining and luckily a bunch of pastries left to purchase. Cafe is nicely designed with half for dining and the other half are the self serve pastries. Neatly placed in plastic case, you'll have to grab a tray and tongs to get the pastries of choice and then pay at the cash register. We were so excited for this place to finally open that we went last Saturday and Sunday. I really like that you get you grab your own pastries and you have plenty of options for both savory and sweets. Please note that the lines can get quite long, perhaps because they're still pretty new; however, it tends to move fairly quickly. We went both times before 9am and the lines were already long. You pick all the pastries that you want, go to the register where you can also order your drinks and get your savory pastries toasted, and pay. The dining area is ample, but seating can get limited very quickly. Everything we tried was incredibly delicious, but the ham and cheese pastry takes the crown! Oh so good. By the way, do yourself a favor and get a coffee with your food. They use Illy coffee and I can't tell you how tasty and smooth it is. Maple grove desperately needed a unique offering like this.
