My husband, mother-in-law, and two daughters went on a Friday morning when they opened at 9. It wasn't too busy, and then it steadily got busier. We took our shoes and jackets off at the front, and then went to go check-in. I was asked if I had ever been there before, which I said no and then I scanned a QR code to sign the waiver for my kiddos. I would say overall, this was a pretty fun experience. You are given two hours to play for admission. I think the admission is pretty expensive, especially for babies. My 7-year old had a fun time, though. She enjoyed playing in the different areas. She ended up getting a mini scoop of ice cream, which was about $6. I would have gotten coffee, but I think the food prices were pretty expensive. Overall, I think one and done for us. We enjoyed the experience, but I took two stars off for how bare it was and for the expensive prices. read more

I am sad to see this place go. Kids had a great time here and a lot of fun. A lot of the equipment needed updating, things were very worn, and the infant area isn't very interactive. Just some soft mats on the floor with a few baby toys scattered around. The cashier was very friendly and answered my questions. This place could have had a lot of potential. Hopefully they can stay in business with a new concept that would better serve customers needs. They are having a discounted sale on the toys and onesies they have for sale. I did not try the cafe drinks this time but perhaps before they close this month I can. read more

It's just okay for me, $18 plus tax just to walk in the door ... for two hours. $13 for under 9 yrs. $5 per adult. ... even more if you forget to have kiddo wear 'grippy' socks. I get the why, but make sure to budget well especially if you have to drive a bit. I expected it to smell a little worse than it did considering it caters to five and under, for that I have to give them MEGA props. The areas seem easy to clean and easy to keep track of. The different scenes were cute and seem fun, be well kept despite being a kids indoor playground. I did see staff trying to clean in the 90 minutes or so I was there. Many sanitize stations. Overall, the 40 minute drive for me, overpriced food, and cost just makes it mediocre for me - but I'll visit again for a special occasion knowing how much it is now. However, if none of the money factors bother you - I think you should definitely give them a try with your tiny human. Pro tip: check the website of the mall, I am pretty sure they have events in the area in the weekends! Make a day out of it and plan your time here accordingly. The food to eat in the mall is a little spendy, or drive and find Costco cafe or some other lesser priced options. Clean, staff was decent, cute corners, Instagram worthy for sure! read more

My little one loved our time at MiniSota and I loved the coffee! I have a 10 month old and we have gone twice. There is a little baby area which was perfect for him. He loved pulling himself up on the little wall to watch all the other kids play and there is a good amount of toys to explore in that area. It's a fun indoor play area for young kids. Looking forward to another play date at MjniSota! read more

This is a super cute spot! So many different areas to play in, our toddler had a blast! Didn't seem super crazy busy. We both enjoyed our coffee and appreciated the distraction! Our only qualm is that they charge for adults too - but we understand with it being a nice place to sit and watch the kids play, there would be a mob of parents otherwise! read more

A few years ago this was the spot to be. My wife and I have noticed this place getting lazy and just raising prices. We called just last week after booking a birthday party online. We asked to speak with the birthday party coordinator and told she is not available. Figuring that was understandable we gave our phone number and ask the lady to give to the manager and call us. Still no call back. We don't recommend this place. Hidden fees and misleading verbiage on the website verses the contract they make you sign. read more

I feel kind of bad rating this place 3 stars. However, it is pricey and you really have to go in KNOWING your kid will be occupied for at 2 hours (which is the time limit). My daughter doesn't prefer it for more than an hour, so it's not worth the money for me. It also takes a bit to sign up if you are coming for the first time. You need to sign a waiver and all of that, and that holds up the line for people waiting to get in. I love the interior and think it's so cute! I just wish my daughter liked it a bit more and I wish it was a little cheaper or had a little better service. read more

The whole place is very dangerous. Concrete floors for kids??? It was nerve racking to keep a five year old and a toddler from running because the risk of falling was so high. A jail for little kids was weird. The musical room had no microphone so it was a stand by a stage. The gyms stationary bike was missing a peddle, so no child could ride it. The parents would let their kids load up groceries from the store in carts and remove them making it no fun in the grocery store for other kids. No fireplace in cabin room like shown on webpage. For the price not worth it. read more

This is a fun place to take the kids to play indoors. They enjoy themselves immensely going from room to room which are each replicas of a small town business. The kids play pretend and dress up which peaks their curiosity and imagination. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I'm so happy that I've found a indoor place for my kids! This play area is perfect for every season for getting your kids out and playing in a safe space. It's a lot of imaginative play more focused for ages 1-10ish, with lots of different activities to meet all kinds of personalities! My favorite part about the whole place; parents can grab a coffee, sit and relax (a little bit) while your kids get some energy out and potentially meet some new friends! The drinks here are delicious, great priced and has local coffee blends! This is a pay for play space, but has reasonable admission and is exceptionally clean! Minisota also does day camps, movie nights, parents night out and music classes. So many fun things to do here! Check it out! read more

MiniSota Play Cafe - a miniature grocery store - Kids Activities Near Me - Maple Grove , Minnesota

Such a cool idea for playtime with kids without having to buy everything and the kitchen sink. It's also a great place to practice social skills and sharing toys while being creative. My little one was only 10 months old visiting here and he had plenty of toys to explore. There are several themed rooms to play between like a grocery store, post office, cabin, lake and even a separate infant are. There's also an actual cafe that makes coffee and sells sensory kits for $25. This area also has tables and high chairs where the kids can eat (they don't sell food themselves). Don't be fooled- the entry fee is for the little ones AND you. In my case, I came with my partner and we paid almost $20 for the three of us and a chai latte. This admission is good for two hours. I'd still go back because of how easy it is to have so many different things for the little one to do. read more

Celebrated my daughter's first birthday here, kids had so much fun and staff was super helpful. We forgot a bag of party supplies at home and they were able to accommodate some of our missing things from other party supplies left over. Such a cute and great place for your young kiddos to run around. They have a kids table and adult table separate and also a dessert table for the cake (it also came with the grass backdrop) and a bar for all your food. Wish I remembered to get more pictures! read more

I have a 10 month old daughter, and it can sometimes be difficult to find places that have things she can enjoy. This place surpassed my expectations. They have so many fun things to do for many different age groups, and my girl loved the infant area! I loved how clean it was. The staff were friendly, and i love how they have coffee and snacks for the kiddos! Definitely will be returning. read more

I came with my two boys, ages 4 and 6 this summer when they didn't have school but I had to get some work done. It was amazing that I could sit and get some work done and look up and see what they were up to. They had a great time with so much imagination play and telling me all about it. read more

Overall (4.1 stars composite score): Nice place where a child's imagination can run free. They need better pricing and business optimization. There's a lot of potential here. Things to do (80% 1.5 star total): 1.2 stars There are themed play areas like Music, hospital, grocery, post office, salon, etc. Children have props and outfits to help them role play and it looks like a lot of fun. I would have like to see more props and play areas as this place has a decent amount of unused space that could be repurposed. Service (100% of 1.5 star total): 1.5 stars Shout out to Anna, the cafe manager. She really made us feel at home. The staff is actively cleaning and putting loose items away. Everyone is super nice and focused on helping Great service makes the experience memorable Value (70% of 1 star total): .7 stars Kids are $12.50 each and parents have to pay $4 a piece. 5 pack ($50) and 10 pack ($90) visits are available if you want to come more often They really shouldn't charge parents to essentially provide free coverage for their own kids. The cafe area can be marketed better, which can drive the revenue necessary to offset not charging adults. Cafe drinks are fantastic. Their coffee drinks are made with Peace Coffee beans, which are fair trade and organic. This makes the coffee drinks a good value. Atmosphere (70% of 1 star total): .7 stars This place needs music to help provide some vibe. Bathrooms are simple and clean.  Baby changing tables are available. WiFi is available at 100Mbps down and 25 Mbps up. I would like to see it password protected though for security sake. read more

I have a 16m old and he's always on the go. We took the drive up from south of the river (45min drive) and it was SO worth it. There's so much to do for all ages. It's well kept, and the attention to detail is so cool. I wish there were places like this where we live!! Definitely will be back, and will telling everyone about this place! read more

My new favorite place to get coffee with other moms and let the kids play! The owner was very friendly!

As a nanny, this place has been a savior! Safe options for the 3 year old to play, while the 1 year old has a nice padded area separate from the big kids. The coffee is delicious and who doesn't love supporting a small local business. Can't wait to come back! read more

We absolutely love coming to play here! It's absolutely adorable, and has plenty to do to keep the kids busy! You can just let them run free while you watch and sip your coffee, which is delicious! If you're looking for an easy day for you, definitely check this place out! The people that are complaining about the price have to realize that it's hard to run a business, and you have to make money to keep it afloat. I have no problem paying for what I get! read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. The place is tiny. There's only 6 little storefronts, a connect 4 game and a baby area. They also charge adults to be here. Will not be returning. read more

The cutest place to have play dates with your busy kids! I've taken my baby and my toddler and I'm so thankful to have a space that is safe and fun for them while I meet with other moms ( you can only stroller around the mall for so long before they're tired of it). It gets very busy on The weekends but weekdays are nice if you can swing that! Coffee and drinks are okay, but I'll spring for it while I'm there. I feel like this is where I am among my ppl, moms like me who just needs her kid to run and play somewhere safe outside of the home. read more

I wanted to love this place - my kids ate a little old for it in general (I would say 0-4 is perfect age range) but I brought my close to 5yr old because he loves dress up and make believe stuff. First - it's small. I just expected it to be much bigger. And the seating area for adults is even smaller - I thought I would bring my iPad and a few things from my small business to catch up on and there was very limited space to sit and it was uncomfortable. Second - it's a bit pricey IMO. Thankfully I only had one child but if i had had 2+ i probably wouldn't have gone. The admission is one thing but adults are required to pay 3.00 OR purchase something from the cafe. Also, kids are REQUIRED to have grippy socks so they ding you for another 3.00 if you don't have them. The socks irritated me because if it's on the website it isn't glaringly obvious (which if they are requiring and charging it should be). By the time it was said and done I paid about 18.00 for 1.5-2.0 hrs of entertainment for one kid. Lastly - it was packed! I'm not sure what their limit is but I felt like there were way too many kids in that small space. There should be a capacity of kids so at least it's more enjoyable. Overall the concept is adorable and plenty entertaining - it just isn't worth the cost and is way too small for a busy day. They could easily have made it one of those efficient spaces where a code is required and cut out staff .... marking it cheaper for all. read more

The place is nice but the prices are ridiculous for what you get. They need more props for each room and music playing. Do not charge for adults. Lower the price for children to $6. You will make more money trust me. It is already a drive for me to come here. I probably won't be back. Please lower prices!!!!! Thank you! read more

Too high of pricing for the adults. Buy a beverage, adult entrance should be free. Service is good.

Awesome place to let the kids wear off energy while getting a great cup of coffee! The Flower Child Tea Latte is my fave!

Wayyyyyy over priced. You pay $10 for your child to get in, and then you as an adult either have to pay $3 for entry ( seriously? I have to pay to sit and watch my child and other children run around?!) or purchase a drink. $13 for you and one kid, I can't imagine going with two. The space it's self was cute but honestly for the price not a whole lot to do. Oh and the outlets were not covered for those curious toddlers. I'd expect way more for that price!! You can go to ECFE open play for $3, open gym at Andover community center for $3, the eagles nest in new Brighton for like $6 or $8 and that place is HUGE, library for free, ridgedale center for free. I'm really disappointed because this was close to home but I likely won't be returning because I can't afford that! Mommas or dad's looking for something to do that won't break the bank; don't go.. read more

We heard about this imagination-centered play zone during Maple Grove Days and were very happy with our experience! My children, 5 and 7, easily made friends quickly with other children of similar/same ages and our almost two hours zipped by as they engaged in the different play areas together. I was able to sit in the cafe and focus on my own work without interruptions and enjoy a lovely latte. Thanks Mandy and Anna for your kindness and hospitality. So happy that this small, locally owned business survived COVID. The new location is spacious, the coffee hit the spot, and most kids were wearing masks (the ones old enough to!). I like all of the pretend play areas here. I have taken a 5 year old and a 2 year year old here on two different occasions. Both of them really enjoyed playing and we stayed about 2 hours.
