This was a great place to go on a rainy day! We had a blast feeding animals from kangaroos to capybaras to goats! The kids loved seeing all the animals!

This safari is located inside Maplewood Mall, 2nd floor. My daughter wanted to go see the Capibara and asked me to take her. They offer different animal experiences on top of admission, that will include the food cups to feed them. Lots of goats and birds, the Capibara are actually big animals. Bigger than the pictures, we sat on the bench behind the gate and the keeper instructed us how to interact. I was surprised to see the kangaroos, they were small like babies. One of them came towards us.

Such a fun place that was surprising to find in a mall (and not the Mall of America!) Your admission gets you a small paper cup of treats for the animals, and you can pay extra to spend 1:1 time with other animals. I got the seeded stick to feed the parakeets. So many animals like baby kangaroos, goats, sloth, llamas, etc. We were able to spend plenty of time feeding them and had a great time! There are some times of waiting around for employees as they are helping other guests with their 1:1 experiences. Enjoyed the parakeet feeding, though I did have a lovely surprise of them pooping all over my pants! Note for next time, not to put the stick right above your lap. Fun place for all ages!

What an amazing experience! Great for toddlers and so many fun animals to see and pet and feed. It's in a mall and a small enough space that you can stay as long as you want and make multiple rounds to the favorite animals. For an extra fee you can hold the animals but you do have to be a certain age. That being said, our 2 year old had a great time! Parking is mall parking.

    So many sweet kangaroos!!!

Amazing!!! Staff was so accommodating and kind. So many fun and unique animals you can feed including capybaras, kangaroos, llamas, goats, etc. I got to hold both a fennec fox and a porcupine for a small additional fee. I think I spent 60 dollars for all of that when I've paid that much or more for one animal encounter at other places. The pricing is a la carte so you can include as much or as little as you want. But even with the base price of just feeding the animals available to all, so worth it. I want to drive back up to Minnesota just to go again!

Brought my god son here on a Sunday afternoon and they were quite busy!!! I had a Groupon and they gals at the front desk were very quick in getting me checked, the Groupon only includes entry and a cup of feed per ticket, we added on the other experiences which can be spendy but worth it in my opinion. The animals looked like were well taken care of and the staff were informative and happy to be there, easy to talk to and friendly. I would recommend coming here.

They had multiple reptile enclosures throughout and weren't bad but seemed like some needed more humidity tho

I went back and forth on if I liked this place and it's a mix. It seems like they started being "sustainable" and wanted to be a more educational rescue type place but got more and more greedy. Some animals had good enclosures and care some didn't. Some were rougher than others. I will say the employees were very friendly and seemed to at least have a bit of knowledge about the animals. I'm a big animal person and have owned many exotics. So places like this are always a bit scary -capybaras were rough some missing patches of fur (maybe ringworm) and had a bad enclosure. -iguana and tegu in the same enclosure - armadillo in a really gross enclosure also just looked sad - some animals were missing food and or water - my main thing was the chinchillas as I run a chin rescue. They had a nice size enclosure but had open ledges and platforms that would be a very bad fall if they fell off. Chins need a solid platform. The wood is also a risking infection and Pneumonia. They also had cardboard in it which is unsafe. They also looked very stressed. Chinchillas are nocturnal so they don't even make good zoo animals. The info sign had many errors the worse being diet. It said "berries and veggies" I believe.... Chinchillas can't have any form of fruits or veggies they can't digest it and way to high in sugar. Comparable to saying give dogs chocolate. They really should look into rehoming or surrendering them.

Went today was so awesome omg the bird experience was by far the most exciting, for some may be much but for some of us not enough wish they talked lol but all the staff is great and I just loved everything along with my 9 yr old we were feeding all animals without no feed signs that we could. I would definitely buy the bigger cup of food next time now located at Burnsville mall

We went to the Burnsville Mall location. Went with 5, 4 and 2 year old. Sooo entertaining! Staff very friendly. Capybara, kangaroos, goats just to name a few. All interactive to pet and feed. 100% worth the trip!

I can't say enough about John(the owner) and his team! Specifically Julia! We came in from dallas last min and wanted to have the private guided experience! It says it's about hour and a half we weren't rushed at all!! John allowed us to check out animals not usually out during heavily trafficked times! Julia was so incredibly knowledgeable about every animal and really tailored our experiences to what my 8year old wanted. For a business owner to be there and showing animals and interacting with even the basic entries speaks volumes about how the team and business is ran. The care they give to these animals is amazing. Place was cleaner and smelt better then any zoo or wildlife facility I've ever been too. 10 out of 5 stars for sure! Can't wait for new location to open and come back

This indoor "safari" is a fun place to view and interact with animals. There's quite a substantial variety that kids and adults can enjoy.

Parking was free and easy. Once you get to the entrance gate, you'll be greeted by staff to show your admission ticket or buy tickets. It's reasonable priced. I purchased the admission with ride and getting a sunflower option. Service was fast and friendly. There's a station near the front to line up for the hay ride which approximately runs every 15-20 minutes. But my friends and I decided to explore other stations before doing the hay ride. There were mini houses and mini log cabin displays to check out. There was a mini kart race track that adults and kids can actually grab a kart and peddle around the track. That was a fun experience! There's also a okay ground that both kids and adults can play Through the courses.. Once we got through the stations, we headed back to the entrance to wait for the hayride. The hayride would bring us way back into the fields where you can see them growing peppers, sunflowers and pumpkins. We were dropped off into the sunflower fields to browse, take pics and then eventually able to pick a sunflower or flowers form the fields at the end per the packages we laid for. I had to leave early so I was t able to cut one for myself. But would love to come back another time to experience it again haha.

Interestingly he loved feeding the goats the most though I'd say that was the least unique thing about this spot. As we have fed goats at many a petting zoo. ( my personal favorite was being befriended but a turkey who followed me for awhile and didn't seem to want food but simply attention ) The deer were of course the draw. It was certainly was a unique experience getting to feed them. Though truth be told I couldn't help but feel that perhaps it wasn't right to keep these animals like this. We came on a Wednesday morning and the place was pretty busy though not overly so. They do have a massive parking lot so I would say it's likely they get real busy on the weekends. You can buy food for feeding the animals in either a plastic bucket or simple paper bags. At checkout it seemed the bucket would give more food but you get it half empty so that felt a bit sneaky to me. It seems they are pawning off a cheep bucket as a bit of a souvenir item. In the future I would just get a bag or two. In the end if you have young kids this place is for you!

Sure, going to Hawaii is great, but if you want something closer and thousands of dollars less expensive (it's actually free, but they suggest you give them a small donation upon entry), I recommend a quick trip to the indoor conservatory. Save the zoo for a nice summer day. My two favorite areas are the topics, and the Sunken Garden. The tropics is the place to go for a hot, steamy reprieve from the Minnesota winter. It has lots of fun swimming animals, a sloth that is about as lively as a stuffed bear, but the biggest attraction, for me, is the incredible hot, moist area. But that's just one area of the Conservatory. Don't miss the larger part that includes jungle-type foliage, wonderful plants, and a display of orchids. We were there the weekend after the orchid show, but we were treated to the award winning and amazingly beautiful orchids. The highlight however, is the seasonal changes that take place in the Sunken Garden. This is an ever changing variety of seasonal flowers and can cheer up the crankiest of us who are just trying to make it through to Spring.

It was easy to find, since they have a lot of signs up which have arrows from the main road. The staff here are very friendly, approachable and kind. It seems to be run by an all women staff woo!! The parking is on the grass or dirt parking. Come as early as you can because it gets crowded pretty darn fast, and loud. The inside building has a lot of items you can purchase, like peanut butter, apple pies, caramel apples, and pre picked apples. They also have samples of each apple in their orchard. My personal favorite was their sweet sixteen apple. They have an outside area, with 1 goat for a petting zoo. They have hay bails for kids to climb, and some open area for them to roam around. They have apple trees spread out everywhere and it's labeled with what kind of apple each tree is. It's a perfect photo spot, they also thought ahead and have a huge family bench near the corn maze where you can take cute pics. The corn maze is challenging but doable for kids and adults. They have an APPLE cutout inside the maze so you can find it, something fun in addition to the maze. There's a wagon that takes you out to the maze or you can just walk there. They have wagon rides at 11 am sharp. The pumpkin patch was sort of a disappointment, because some of them were spoiled and others were fungated? The whole place is perfect for instagram pictures, and fall photo shoots. It's free admission, but the corn maze is $3 per person. The apples and pumpkins are charged based on how much they weigh. It was really affordable. They have new hours apparently so call ahead to confirm. Definitely a family oriented fun outing!
