I tried working with other cabinet suppliers including Home Depot, but the service was terrible. Ofer at Planet Cabinets was incredible from the first email to set up an appointment! We talked to confirm measurements, etc. and he always followed up quickly. He was present when the cabinets were delivered and quickly replaced a damaged cabinet. Thanks to him I have my new beautiful, functional kitchen!!!

Ofer was patient, knowledgeable, and never pushy -- he took the time to walk us through our options and helped us feel confident in our decisions. We went with Orange Cabinetry, a more budget-friendly brand that Ofer endorsed in terms of quality and customer service. Even though there was a delay in stock (which we were informed about in advance), the team encouraged us to stick with the sage green color we really loved instead of settling for something else just to speed things up. I'm so glad we waited -- the cabinets are beautiful, well-built, and exactly what we wanted. We've gotten a ton of compliments. Planet Cabinets also helped us source Jeffrey Alexander hardware, and their support with sizing and quantities made that process easy. Overall, we felt informed, supported, and never rushed. Highly recommend Planet Cabinets if you're looking for a company that balances affordability with honest, thoughtful service.

The collaborative design work by Robert turned out beautifully and with high quality materials from great cabinets to tiles and the Kohler fixtures, tubs and toilets. The detailed workmanship by Dario and Alex over the five months was outstanding, and they kept the work area neat and organized, so the mess was kept to a minimum (and there is a lot of mess to bathroom remodels!). They are not the most expensive nor the least, however, they are consummate professionals. Lynn who coordinated our complete master bath/closet remodel was amazing. All workmen and sub-contractors were not only excellent craftsmen, they were courteous, respectful and cleaned up their mess daily. Lynn's knowledge base is exceptional. She is well versed in all the ins and outs of her industry. There was not a question she couldn't answer...standard size, distance between cabinets and shower, venting, lighting, how NOT to pick cabinets that are over-priced for the home they going into. What we found most helpful was Lynn's sense of design and color. Lynn has a gift for filling a room with granite, tile, wall color and making it all come together in a way you could never have imagined. Yes, I whined (to myself and to my husband) about the cost of custom cabinets and granite at C&G Direct, but I'm super happy with the quality of the product that showed up at my doorstep a few weeks back. The rep we worked with, Anna, was on point from start to finish. She was quick to answer questions, helped us design a counter and cabinet structure that would work best for our daughters' bathroom and followed up with our contractor when one cabinet door arrived less than stellar. Their showroom is quite lovely and you can get a nice picture of what your potential kitchen/bath will look like when all is said and done. Yes, we paid extra for our white cabs, but the quality is there, it looks awesome with the new counters, and said cabinets were crafted just a few states over. #worthit

I've been thinking of remodeling my kitchen for at least 10 years. The process started by sitting…read moredown at Lowe's with one of their kitchen designers and getting a free layout and cabinet estimate. Over the next 10 years I took that Lowe's layout to no less than a dozen cabinet companies to get their pricing. The pricing always came in around $10,000+ (except for one importer who sold cheap, rather than good cabinets in a limited number of styles and colors. None of which we liked.) Then a month ago, driving north on Gary avenue in Carol Stream I just happened to spot this place and thought I'd try again to price out the Lowe's design because we were now ready to do something. I went into the place and immediately started walking around. I didn't wait for a sales person because I wasn't sure if I'd like the place and didn't want some fast-talking salesman to start accosting me for my business. I'd looked for a few minutes before I was approached by Jim, a pleasant older gentleman. He was nice so I told him what I was looking for and we casually discussed a few options. I told him I had the Lowe's kitchen design and he said he'd be happy to price it out with the cabinets I liked (he didn't want to see their pricing). I emailed him the design minus the prices and he came back with some design drawings. We talked some more over email and I asked him to stop by my house to see my kitchen. He did and we had a great conversation and we got ideas for other ways to do the kitchen. After looking at the kitchen, Jim put together everything we liked, added in the monthly manufacturer promotions, and ended up THOUSANDS less than any other quality cabinet place. So today we visited the showroom to go over every part of the cabinet order before putting down a deposit. After all was said and done, even after we added many pullout drawers, did some upgrading and getting some trim pieces (not on the original Lowe's design), he beat my 10 year old barebones Lowe's kitchen design price by over $1,500! I can't recommend Jim and this place strongly enough. (I'll let you know if things don't go smoothly once we receive the cabinets.)

Lakewood Countertops at Pearl Design Group came in at half the price of the store in St. Charles. It was about $100 more than the box stores, but Lakewood was willing to come out and measure and deliver the tops when complete, so I felt their price was worth it. Also, they explained why their process was better than the box stores. The counters looked amazing and were well done. They did have to redo the backsplashes because I needed them 1/4 inch taller than normal and someone misread the instructions, but they came and picked them up and fixed them and brought them back to me, so I can't complain!
