We had been in the market for new countertops for a few weeks and had started to process with a big name stone company in the north shore. But after many unanswered emails and phone calls to them, we became frustrated and decided to look for another company. I did a Yelp search and sent messages to 5 different businesses. Dejan was the first person to respond (7 minutes after I sent the initial message - talk about responsive!!!) I can confidently say that DK Stone's prices are the best in the market after comparing them amongst the other 4 competitors. The best part is that everyone else had told me that I would need to buy at least 2 slabs for the dimensions of our countertop. I asked Dejan how many slabs we would need and he said ONE SLAB for both island countertop and stovetop countertop!! He was able to calculate a configuration that would get everything done with minimal waste - this was huge in terms of cost. He had his guys come out to measure 5 days later and the counter tops were installed a couple of weeks after that. Everything was perfect, they were so efficient. Okay so now you have an idea of their work but what about service? Someone had accidentally taken our garbage disposal ring when they were cleaning up after the job so we couldn't get the disposal installed - we reached out to Dejan and he had someone drop it off. He could have easily ghosted us since the job was done but he was still just as responsive. We seriously cannot recommend DK Stone enough - we are so impressed and after being let down by so many other companies this was the breath of fresh air we needed. read more

The quality of their work was top-notch, and Dan went out of his way to help us through the whole process. Sometimes it seems daunting to find reputable businesses in Chicago, but I can truly say DK Stone was amazing to work with, and we will absolutely be using them again. read more

Recently got our countertops replaced with DK Stone. We ended up choosing them because they got such great reviews, and because they had the most competitive quote while also arranging for a plumber to help attach our new sink. Dan was very communicative and quick to arrange installation. After an initial visit to measure the countertops and provide a quote, we arranged for his team to come for the countertop removal and installation. The countertops looked great afterward but for some reason when reinstalling the faucet, there was zero water pressure despite the plumber's attempts to fix it. Dan ordered us a new faucet (at no cost to us) and took time out of his Saturday (less than 48 hours later) to come install the brand new one. It now works great and we're very happy with our new countertops! read more

Dejan and his crew did an amazing job with our counters! They replied immediately, I needed the job done on a quick timeline and they were able to meet that time at a very reasonable cost. I couldn't be more happy with the results. We upgraded our counters from an old school black finish to new white quartz surfaces. The crew was timely, professional, and got the job done quickly. When reinstalling my sink, they even replaced my worn down P trap with their own materials at no additional cost, so they definitely went the extra mile. Thank you! read more

Super responsive, helpful, fair prices, great work. I needed a custom vanity top in a specific color and DK Stone worked to quickly get me samples, have it templated, and install. I was so (pleasantly!) surprised when they contacted me to install just the day after measuring! The two workers that installed it were really nice and gracious and SO fast. I will definitely use DK Stone again whenever I have the chance. read more

Dejan (pronounced like Dan) did a great job on my project. I was creating a huge island and backsplash (of quartzite) and I knew it would be $$ but I think Dejan delivered just what I wanted for a fair price and in a timely manner. He did a lot of hand-holding with me but finally I started to understand the process better and felt like Dejan cared about having me understand what I was paying for. A few months later when i needed a backsplash for another project (a vanity that shipped without one - - ugh!) he set me right up for a totally fantastic price. I'm happy I have a resource now to recommend to people for countertops. read more

Dejan was amazing! He responded to my inquiry right away and we set up the time for him to come over and take a look at the crack in my countertop (his company didn't install my countertops). He showed up on time and filled the crack as best as possible. When I asked how much I owed him, he said "nothing". Another company wanted to charge me $750 to "restore it". Thanks Dejan! I'll definitely keep you in mind for future projects or referrals. read more

DK Stone does amazing work! I had granite leftover from a kitchen remodel gone wrong (with a different company--I wish I knew about Dan's work back then!) I wanted to use the granite I had for 2 vanity tops and a sitting area top. I called DK Stone after reading great reviews online. Dejan (Dan) responded to voicemail within the hour. I sent him pictures of my vanities and the granite I had. He gave me a fair quote quickly and picked up my granite, fabricated it, and installed within 2 days. He also did a small repair in my kitchen and did not charge me extra. The workers were very professional and worked quickly on my install. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for granite work. My bathroom looks fabulous. Thanks Dan! read more

I cannot say enough good things about DK Stone. Dejan was very prompt responding to my inquiries. I had been looking for the perfect countertop for my island. It seemed like every other place was not as responsive and did not give me the information I needed to make a decision. As soon as I heard from Dejan, I knew they were the one. Within a week I had exactly what I wanted and the process was very easy. read more

Dan did a good job installing my quartzite stone kitchen, works fast and price is very reasonable. We have some challenging need to cut out a large opening on a long countertop for cooktop, other fabricators requires a seam and Dan was able to cut it on site without a seam. He cut it basically in a "tent" and vacuum it without dusts going around the kitchen area, it Works well. I would say only thing he can do better is to cover my drawer hinge below and protect it from the cutting dust. Overall it was a great experience working with DK stone! read more

After much frustration dealing with this big named countertop company, I decided to go with DK Stone because they came highly recommended. Thank God I did. Dan was patient and knowledgeable. I went with Vicostone Eclipse, and I love, love it! It looks like real marble without all the hassles. Dan was so easy to work with. He came out and did the measurement on a piece of paper and brought the stone within a week. He even got a jumbo slab, so there is not a single seam on my countertop. That's amazing! Everything fit perfectly and beautifully. I appreciate Dan's professionalism and super fast service. The other company I almost used would have delayed our kitchen remodel by a month. I feel truly blessed that we went with DK Stone. read more

Dejan was great to work with, from my initial request for a quote to all my questions, he was quick in responding. We scheduled an appointment, he was on time, took detailed measurements, and was helpful with suggestions on our project (quartz countertops, fireplace surround, tabletop replacement). He took care of ordering the materials, we scheduled an installation date, he and his team were on time, had masks, and did an incredible job. He even took care of arranging for a plumber to re-connect our sinks. He also had a recommendation for another contractor to do our backsplash tiles. I highly recommend DK Stone, and I'm already planning on calling Dejan for updating our master bath counters. read more

Had Dejan Kuljanin from DK Stone come install granite tops in kitchen & bath. Got the design all wrong even thou the first thing we talked about was the design I wanted. Had no reaction to his mistake. Its too expensive a job to just use people who don't bother with what you ask for. Also left a big mess behind & piece missing from my sink to which he said oh well. So many others out there. Don't waste your time with someone like this. read more

After a disaster at a pricey Wilmette tile store, I found DK Stone on Yelp. The owner, Dejan (pronounced Dan) offered to pull some countertop slabs at his warehouse that matched the colors I wanted and the size I needed for my project. His patient employees used a forklift to show me each entire selection, allowing complete inspection before buying. Within a couple days he came out to measure the area and installed the piece later that week. It is exactly what I wanted and was professionally installed and fabricated. All at half the price I had previously paid! The customer service is outstanding, so rare to find nowadays. They have a customer for life! read more
