The image shows a white fireplace with a marble hearth situated against a wall. Above the fireplace, there is a mirror with rounded edges reflecting a window with bars and outdoor scenery. To the right of the fireplace, built-in shelves are visible, and the floor is hardwood with a patterned rug partially visible at the bottom of the image.

Quick, Friendly and honest. Had a piece of marble cut for a fireplace hearth which required some detailed measurement and cut outs using a 'template' - they were able to get the cuts just right and it worked perfectly. The honing looks perfect and they added a bevel around the edges to finish it off.

The image shows a kitchen with white cabinets and a marble countertop island. A window above the counter allows natural light into the space, with a red object placed on the windowsill. A stainless steel refrigerator is positioned against the wall, with a small decorative item on top. The ceiling has a hanging light fixture that casts a warm glow, and the floor is made of dark wood. Two black stools are placed at the island, and a trash can is visible near the refrigerator.

Juan Carlos and his team do the BEST quality work at a fair price. I got multiple quotes for my large kitchen countertop project, which included matching to some existing quartz as well as adding a large L-shaped new section. Juan's quote was roughly the same as the others I got (they were all within $150 of each other), but I chose to work with Juan Carlos because he was so much more friendly and professional than the other companies I talked to, and he had much better reviews too. All these 5 star reviews are for a reason!! The work is top notch (I was stunned to find that they had been able to cut my gigantic L-shape section as ONE PIECE--couldn't believe it!), on time, and highly professional and courteous. They protected all my floors so well, draping from the front door all the way through to the kitchen, and kept everything super clean so I didn't have to deal with a mess after they left. I really appreciated that! Also, regarding Covid safety, I felt very safe having Juan Carlos and team in my home. They were all masked up (with masks worn PROPERLY, not hanging off their face like so many people I've had to deal with lately). I just can't recommend Pearlstone Cutters highly enough--please give them your business, you won't regret it!

We were doing a full rehab of our home. We purchased most of our hard surface materials from a reputable local supplier. I needed an installer, found Pearlstone through Yelp, and liked the reviews I read. As it turns out, the materials our supplier sold us were thinner than standard granite thickness. JC not only returned the inferior materials to the retailer, but sold us correct dimension product at the same price. Their fees are very reasonable, they are responsive, accommodating, and their attention to detail and quality of workmanship is exemplary. I would not hesitate to hire Pearlstone again.

It promised to be a big job to build back, and after collecting quotes from several Chicago-area contractors for the project, we went forward with Miro and Homewise Remodelers. They were the most responsive out of our vendor list, and priced their work fairly, sensibly, and realistically. And we're so glad we went with Homewise on this project. They were clean, consistent, easy to work with--and they liked our cats, too! The project was delivered mostly on schedule and mostly on budget (the only overage was the purchase of additional bags of cement for fixing the floors--but this was explained early and clearly and was not a surprise cost). And now we have a functional basement again. Thanks Homewise!

He helped us select cabinets and worked through several versions of the kitchen layout until we were happy with it--we were easily able to swap out cabinet layouts and finishings, like adding a farmhouse sink. His crew were reliable, on-time, and respectful of our property throughout the remodel and we appreciated their attention to detail. They solicited our input on decorative details and were quick to fix things we didn't like, e.g., the location of kitchen cabinet pulls. We felt they treated our home as they would their own. The project even wrapped up a few days early. We would absolutely recommend Homewise Remodelers and choose them for future projects.

When it came time to actually get the counter top installed my husband received a recommendation from friends of ours, but I was starstruck by the solid 5 star rating JC granite had, and I insisted that we needed to get quotes from each (that's never a bad idea anyway). I was not home when Julio came to measure on a Sunday (A day or two after the original time we agreed on...he flaked out). He said he would get the stone warehouse information to my husband. By Wednesday/Thursday I hadn't heard so I called. His rational was that we were not going to go look at stone until Saturday, and he had been very busy so he figured he had some time to spare with getting us that information. I'll give him that, I believe him. After going to the stone-mart I sent him an e-mail on the first of the month with our choices. (We wanted to know the price difference before choosing). He immediately responded asking me to call him, so I did right then. I AGAIN gave him our stone choices. (This wasn't a big deal but I want to emphasize it...). He then called back 10 minutes later asking if we had chosen a stone color. (As in, "Wait...I forgot to see if they had picked a stone color.) I actually thought maybe this was a joke. But I provided him the information again. I e-mailed him on the 3rd asking if he was able to get the pricing. His response: "I need stone color." The stone color I e-mailed and told him over the phone twice within 20 minutes of each other? (Three times total within an hour time span) I responded back on the 3rd that I provided this information three times. I got my quote 3 days later on the 6th. We had already decided that we would go with the friends recommendation. He hadn't been anything but professional, and prompt. ....His quote was lower than Julio's on top of that. Now, I can say nothing on his stone cutting abilities. Only on his interaction with a potential customer. I honestly do believe he was busy. But there is something to be said for just telling the customer you can't handle the business right now. If he could get the stone choices 3 times in one hour and still not think he has it, that's not quite the attention to detail I would hope for/require for my project.

We recently had our bathrooms remodeled, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The scope of our project included a full renovation of primary, kids and guest bathrooms, and the quality of craftsmanship really shows in every space. From the tile work to the fixtures and overall layout, everything feels high-quality and thoughtfully done. We especially appreciated the unique elements incorporated into the design, like the wall-mounted faucets, recessed vanities, heated floors, and heated bidets--features that truly elevated both the look and comfort of our bathrooms. The team was excellent to work with from start to finish. Elizabeth, our designer, and Eric, our project manager, were both fantastic and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Elizabeth helped bring our vision to life with thoughtful design choices and a great eye for the overall look and feel, while Eric kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. Our contractor, also named Eric, did very high-quality work, and it really shows in the finished product. Everyone we interacted with was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Communication was consistent, and we always felt informed about what was happening next. The team's level of care and precision really stood out--they made sure everything was done right. The entire process, from design to construction to the final finishing touches, was smooth and well-managed. They helped guide us through design decisions without pressure, kept the project moving on schedule, and made sure the final result matched (and even exceeded) our expectations. The end result is a set of bathrooms that not only look amazing but feel built to last. We're extremely happy with the quality of work and the overall experience, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a remodel.

After reviewing the scope of the project, it was estimated that it would take a week and a half to complete. Not only did it take over a month to eventually complete, the days that the team would work were unpredictable. On several occasions, as the team would leave for the day, they would tell us they will be back tomorrow, and then not show up. Or, they wouldn't be able to tell us when they would come next, and would surprise us a few days later. They ended up needing to complete this project after I had delivered my baby (original timeline would've been completed weeks prior to my due date). Additionally, we noticed there were a few design decisions that were made without consulting us, like the drywall of the shower/re-installation of the water gauge (it's now not flush with the wall and very loose) and the selection of tile at the base of the shower that doesn't match the floor. He had offered to come fix the water gauge, but after coming to look at the issue, he has not gotten back to us in 5 weeks.
