I was connected with him by chance when I called the store, and I couldn't have been luckier. I was on a very tight timeline and needed help identifying the correct shower fixture for my bathroom remodel. James patiently walked me through all of my options, sent photos, and even looked up my previous Studio 41 purchases to get a sense of my style. That extra level of service made choosing the perfect shower fixture so much easier. Once I made my selection, James went above and beyond to make sure I received the valve and trim within my tight deadline. He even arranged to have some things that I needed urgently transferred to another store for pickup. The entire process was seamless. Since then, James has helped me source several additional items for my project. He is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and truly cares about providing exceptional customer service. Thank you James! Very happy to have you on my home improvement team!

This turned out to be a great recommendation! There were a few issues with the tub and toiler we got, but these were manufacturer issues and not anything caused by J&D. However, J&D corrected the issues immediately and went to bat for us with the manufacturer, so there were no costs incurred to us and only a very minor delay to our project. Overall, we'll definitely go back to J&D for future remodels and hope to work again with Lien in particular.

I did some cost comparison with a couple of the larger wholesale bath and kitchen retailers in Chicago, and the inventory at J&D was more what I was looking for and best value. The resulting vanity, top, and faucet, is perfect. It's beautiful (even our guests were impressed), gave us more storage space and sturdy enough to serve as another station for toddler handwashing and morning tooth brushing.

We are happy to have chosen Mirek and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch general contractor.

He helped us select cabinets and worked through several versions of the kitchen layout until we were happy with it--we were easily able to swap out cabinet layouts and finishings, like adding a farmhouse sink. His crew were reliable, on-time, and respectful of our property throughout the remodel and we appreciated their attention to detail. They solicited our input on decorative details and were quick to fix things we didn't like, e.g., the location of kitchen cabinet pulls. We felt they treated our home as they would their own. When it came time to actually get the counter top installed my husband received a recommendation from friends of ours, but I was starstruck by the solid 5 star rating JC granite had, and I insisted that we needed to get quotes from each (that's never a bad idea anyway). I was not home when Julio came to measure on a Sunday (A day or two after the original time we agreed on...he flaked out). He said he would get the stone warehouse information to my husband. By Wednesday/Thursday I hadn't heard so I called. His rational was that we were not going to go look at stone until Saturday, and he had been very busy so he figured he had some time to spare with getting us that information. I'll give him that, I believe him. After going to the stone-mart I sent him an e-mail on the first of the month with our choices. (We wanted to know the price difference before choosing). He immediately responded asking me to call him, so I did right then. I AGAIN gave him our stone choices. (This wasn't a big deal but I want to emphasize it...). He then called back 10 minutes later asking if we had chosen a stone color. (As in, "Wait...I forgot to see if they had picked a stone color.) I actually thought maybe this was a joke. But I provided him the information again. I e-mailed him on the 3rd asking if he was able to get the pricing. His response: "I need stone color." The stone color I e-mailed and told him over the phone twice within 20 minutes of each other? (Three times total within an hour time span) I responded back on the 3rd that I provided this information three times. I got my quote 3 days later on the 6th. We had already decided that we would go with the friends recommendation. He hadn't been anything but professional, and prompt. ....His quote was lower than Julio's on top of that. Now, I can say nothing on his stone cutting abilities. Only on his interaction with a potential customer. I honestly do believe he was busy. But there is something to be said for just telling the customer you can't handle the business right now. If he could get the stone choices 3 times in one hour and still not think he has it, that's not quite the attention to detail I would hope for/require for my project.

We have nothing but the highest praise to give to them for delivering such a fantastic end result. The team we worked with was fantastic. We really enjoyed the hands on process of working with Elizabeth, our designer, who helped guide us through the entire process of creating our dream primary bathroom. We had a fair bit of back and forth throughout the design process but it resulted in some highly detailed and thorough design plans, which included realistic renderings, all the selected hardware and finishes, and overall layouts. We felt like we got great advice from Elizabeth, and she really listened to what kind of look and feel we were going for. We then got with Daniel, our project manager, who helped turn the plans we received into reality. He was also a pleasure to work with and always provided very clear project updates via text and phone. The teams he assembled for electrical, plumbing, and carpentry were all very professional and did great work. Daniel was also a great problem solver who was able to come up with clever solutions to any issues that came up. In summary, we are very happy owners of two completely new bathrooms spaces designed and built by the lovely team at Chi Renovation. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a remodel in the Chicago area.

We recently had our bathrooms remodeled, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The scope of our project included a full renovation of primary, kids and guest bathrooms, and the quality of craftsmanship really shows in every space. From the tile work to the fixtures and overall layout, everything feels high-quality and thoughtfully done. We especially appreciated the unique elements incorporated into the design, like the wall-mounted faucets, recessed vanities, heated floors, and heated bidets--features that truly elevated both the look and comfort of our bathrooms. The team was excellent to work with from start to finish. Elizabeth, our designer, and Eric, our project manager, were both fantastic and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Elizabeth helped bring our vision to life with thoughtful design choices and a great eye for the overall look and feel, while Eric kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. Our contractor, also named Eric, did very high-quality work, and it really shows in the finished product. After reviewing the scope of the project, it was estimated that it would take a week and a half to complete. Not only did it take over a month to eventually complete, the days that the team would work were unpredictable. On several occasions, as the team would leave for the day, they would tell us they will be back tomorrow, and then not show up. Or, they wouldn't be able to tell us when they would come next, and would surprise us a few days later. They ended up needing to complete this project after I had delivered my baby (original timeline would've been completed weeks prior to my due date). Additionally, we noticed there were a few design decisions that were made without consulting us, like the drywall of the shower/re-installation of the water gauge (it's now not flush with the wall and very loose) and the selection of tile at the base of the shower that doesn't match the floor. He had offered to come fix the water gauge, but after coming to look at the issue, he has not gotten back to us in 5 weeks. I had high hopes for this project, and while it still looks nice, the lack of communication made it really difficult to want to recommend Peter or use his team again for future projects.
