My wife and I were concerned that the deck off the back of our townhome was unstable, so we requested quotes from several contractors to replace it. We received quotes from some contractors who just based their estimates off my pictures. Patrick came out to our place in-person to see the deck and take pictures/measurements himself and answer our questions. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and pointed out several structural issues we hadn't noticed. I had a pretty large project done by Estes Builders, and I couldn't be happier with the result. Our condo actually has 4 separate outdoor spaces, and we needed to replace the decking on all of them. From the first phone call to the final payment, Adam was very responsive to both email and phone calls. The price was very competitive, and the selection of building materials was very easy, as different samples were brought over in-person so that any questions I had were answered immediately. Even when we had to delay the construction (not due to any issue by Estes) to repair the roof under the deck, Adam was sure to check in to make sure that we could get the project completed in a timely fashion. Once the repairs were done, the crew was out and working right away. After the job was finished, the crew did an amazing job in cleanup. We had a brick porch that was falling apart/subsiding. The company that built it didn't do it properly, and 7 years later they're out of business. We plan on moving in a few months, and needed to get it fixed. We got multiple estimates to repair it, all nearly as expensive as putting it in originally. We also got multiple estimates on replacing it with a simple wood porch. Estes Builders came in with the best estimate. Adam was easy to contact, and was prompt in answering questions. We weren't able to get the work done when we originally planned to, and he was great about holding to the estimate and re-scheduling. The workers showed up right when we were told they would, and the job was finished on time as well. The job included demolishing and hauling away the old brick porch. They also installed a new wood handrail for my back porch. We were happy with the work, and would hire them again for a similar job. read more

I first contacted Estes Builders thinking I would GC my kitchen remodel and have Estes handle the countertops only. After 1 meeting was convinced that Estes and the crew would not only do a better installation for the same (actually less) budget but also benefited from his great design ideas. I ended up having I have a slightly older high-rise condo and with that comes challenges for the crew such as not-straight walls, odd wiring and very strict homeowners association rules on remodel. I would definitely recommend this company. Adam was very responsive despite my dithering, and once the contract was signed, the process was very smooth -- from working with my architect (might have been better to use his), to permitting, to tear down to building the porch in inclement weather to final city inspection. The tear down was done in a day, the debris was removed, and the new 2 1/2 story porch was up within 2 weeks. Adam was responsive throughout the process and miscellaneous minor problems were resolved promptly. Price was competitive. read more

I was just looking for a basic replacement of my garage rooftop deck, which Estes Builders handled perfectly. We put the house on the market and the night before the inspection, we had some leakage from our roof! Adam Lesniakowski very promptly got a roofing specialist out to help us figure out why the roof was leaking. When we needed the repair done, he got his guys out to pull up the part of the deck, and lay it back down, all at a moments notice. At every point in the replacement of the deck, the repair of our roof, and the sale in our house, when we needed Adam's help, he was there for us. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
