Absolutely love this HomeGoods! There is always something in Home Goods that tickles my fancy. Found linens that TJ Maxx didn't have. Good prices on most. Crazy wild selections but very "crafty" oriented. Great for accent furniture or items. Truffle oil I couldn't pass up. Shopaholic's dream. HomeGoods is the kind of place that if you see something you need to buy it because you won't find it again. Yet this store has so many great items in stock and the staff is always extremely helpful. They also always have an extensive amount of clearance on sale more so than other HomeGoods. I like this location of HomeGoods, it's quite large, very neat and organized. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon. It's a great place to go and get ideas for home decor when you're bored with your house.

HomeGoods store in Chicago features shelves with decorative items, kitchenware, and farmhouse-themed decor, including signs, planters, and figurines.

There are the huge selection of goods. Great place to find housewarming gifts or seasonal decor for your home. Love the selection of goods. Great place to find housewarming gifts or seasonal decor for your home. The prices here are the very best. Dog jackets are the very best and very inexpensive. I also love the candles and bathroom decor. We bought a beautiful snow globe that was a gingerbread house. It lit up and played music. Before we could get it upstairs to her apartment it was broken. The Service Desk Manager, Tracey found the globe and kindly held it until I could pick it up the following day. Customer Service means a lot. And I got just that. Not super busy but always a little wait to check out. Many great finds have been found here. Would recommend this location to family and friends.

This is far by the worse home goods to shop, if you don't want to be profiled for no purpose at all. I stopped by this location to pick up a candle and a bottle of room freshener. I noticed as I was shopping a man appeared to be following me. He followed me up until the point, where I headed toward the front of the store to check out. Since I felt that he made me uncomfortable as well as my shopping experience, I reached out to corporate to complain. I requested that an investigation needs to be started. The store manager followed up with me and explained that their Lost Prevention department, reviewed the camera footage and confirmed there was a man following me. To add, I was told the good news was that it was a man that was a customer that was with his wife. In my opinion that was a bunch of crap. This same man followed me all the way until I got in line to pay for my items. After he thought I was not observing him anymore, he sat down in one of the sofa chairs that was there on display. If he was there with his wife he would have went back to find her. Lastly, during the initial follow up with the manager, she informed me it's against their store policy for their lost prevention dept to follow customers around in the store. I believe the manager did not want me to move forward with filing a complaint to a higher department or filing a discrimination lawsuit against their location. The manager herself should have reviewed the footage instead of relying on lost prevention to conduct an honest investigation. This was unacceptable.

After the purchase was completed, I was contacted and told that their supplier had increased pricing and that I would need to pay an additional $183.40 for them to fulfill the order. When I declined, they stated they would not honor the original price and refused to complete the transaction. This is not a pricing issue from the customer's perspective -- it is a failure on the seller's side to properly manage inventory and supplier pricing before charging a customer's credit card. Once an order is confirmed and payment is taken, the expectation is that the seller will honor the agreed price. Attempting to pass along post-sale cost increases to the customer is not an acceptable business practice. I offered multiple reasonable solutions, all of which were rejected as "non-negotiable." The company ultimately chose not to honor a confirmed and paid order. Buyers should be aware that pricing shown at checkout may not be honored after payment is processed. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

The installers (no idea who they are or how to contact them) did a subpar job. Upon closer review, there is a large gap between the counter and the wall and the installers did not use silicone or caulk to finish the space. It was not like this with my old countertop that they removed. I reached out to Rock Counter and they advised me to "ask my contractor" to fix it. I don't have a contractor. I literally replaced my countertops. She then reached out to the installers and they told me (by my iPhone photo) that my wall was crooked and they can't do anything about it. I pushed back and said that it is impossible to see by a photo. My complaint was forwarded on to the owner of Wonder Counters and I received this response: "He viewed your photographs and he advised that your bathroom walls are quite crooked and require a handyman or contractor to use spakle and silicone to fix that extensive gap, as caulk will not do the job. Angie's List, Home Advisor and Task Rabbit are places you could find someone who is willing to do this work for you. Hope you're able to find someone or know of a friend who is handy." Not only did they not do a good job, I now have to hire somebody ELSE to come fix it. Based off of an iPhone photo. It all made sense when I found that they have a design area upstairs. Downstairs they have various kitchen items and gadgets. An appointment is required to talk about cabinetry and get some estimates. I met with Marnie, and she was fantastic. I had Opinions on what I did and did not want and she seemed pleased with that and that I had actually done the research on the cabinetry options she'd sent, so I came in knowing precisely which ones I wanted. It definitely made the appointment go more quickly since I already knew which door styles and colors I was interested in. She talked with me about some of the technical aspects (e.g., framed vs. frameless vanities, top mount vs. under mount sinks, etc.) and they had various examples on display. They also had most of the door styles to have a better idea of what they'd look like. For the bathroom in which the vanity would be installed, the options here were more than we wanted to spend. I'd like to consider an update for the main bathroom, though, and would look to AKB for that job. The companies they work with have really beautiful products. Honestly, it makes me want to do more remodeling (main bathroom! Kitchen!) because wandering around the showroom made me want everything! I'm probably not quite that much of a masochist given the construction that would entail, but....

I have been able to upgrade a closet, open packages, soda bottles, and fix an award plaque, and more, all thanks for my trusty Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. I am of the age when many friends are getting married, and I often see knife sets on wedding registries. Here's a $100 cash and a tip that will save you $150 more: just get a good chef's knife, and keep it as sharp as reasonably possible. You may need a bread knife and maybe some steak knives if you plan to do some bbq-ing, but still cannot beat a trusty chef's knife. True to form, both my pocket knife and chef's knife get a fair amount of work. I have a pull through sharpener at home (though it technically hones more than it sharpens). This one is good for some regular 'maintenance' when the edge starts slipping instead of gliding through a tomato, but every now and again, having a professional but a proper edge does wonders. Now, as much as I would love to have a kitchen knife sharp enough to shave with, I also know this would result in a brittle knife that would break as soon as it met cartilage. At the same time, I have seen many reels of knives that can cut paper on the fly. While I found out there is a certain technique to do so, Northside Cutlery was able to get my knives sharp enough to glide through paper. The rates are reasonable at $7/knife, and the turnaround time is fast. Everyone working the shop was kind and friendly as well. While professional sharpening is not something I do on a regular basis, I can absolutely see myself returning to Northside Cutlery for all my sharpening needs.

From the tile work to the fixtures and overall layout, everything feels high-quality and thoughtfully done. We especially appreciated the unique elements incorporated into the design, like the wall-mounted faucets, recessed vanities, heated floors, and heated bidets--features that truly elevated both the look and comfort of our bathrooms.
