Very mixed opinion at this point after a very disappointing delivery of a vanity by the company they use, Bungii. One man and his wife showed up with a 400 pound vanity in a pick up. In the end, our contractor provided most of the manpower, equipment and guidance on moving the vanity. We paid Floor and Decor $350 for white glove delivery but they say it was Bungii we paid so neither will accept a request for reimbursement. Products great and other service but this is messed up! read more

Updating my review. We ended up going with F&D because even though I truly wanted to use Exposition, F&D had flooring in stock and the #1 most important thing was getting the flooring installed since I have company coming in fewer than two weeks. The floor looks beautiful and is super easy to clean--I use a mixture of 2 cups water, 1/2 cup each of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol, a couple drops (really, only a couple DROPS) of Dawn dish soap, and 10 drops of essential oil. The oils aren't necessary, but can make it smell better than just using the vinegar. You can follow up with just plain water for a great shine. I was also able to return the two boxes that my installers didn't use. That meant I got $150 back, which is not insignificant. read more

I am a 70 year-old man and was given the bum's rush, I left the bag with them after being talked down to about returns. I am almost certain that that bag went directly back into their stock. Infact, she seemed to put forward little effort in responding our questions about the product. It may be that she did not like her job or lacked the training and knowledge to be of useful service. When afterwards, we visited Floor and Decor on Addison and St. Louis in Chicago, we were assisted by a young man whose name tag read:Reno. From the start, he displayed a positive and noticeably earnest desire to help us in our search. It was like stepping out of the darkness and walking into a burst of light, when both experiences are compared. He did not try to push us in any direction, but answered our questions and provided valuable information. He guided us through the process with a skillful display of knowledge of the product and its application. He gave us his full attention, and we felt that he valued our presence at that store. If you know exactly what you want, this place is a big toy store. If you don't, like my wife and me, ask for Roxanne. She's one of their free to use in-house designers, and helped us go from totally lost and frustrated to designing a beautiful bathroom in 30 minutes. We are really grateful. And the prices are great. I'm having my basement finished, and I'm admittedly not experienced, although I have definite ideas of what I want. First, Daniel helped me think through all of the requirements of installing heated floors in my basement, and then I needed a designer, so he and Steven helped connect me with Steph, who was fantastic. She looked at my plans and calculated the amount of tile/grout, etc., that I would need for all of the flooring and made color suggestions, and guided me to the best materials for the bathroom. Despite closing early for inventory that day, the team made sure that I was checked out properly, even though I was the last customer in the store. The delivery was perfect and on time. THEN, a week later, I returned for mortar and received more expert assistance from Steven, who was extremely helpful, in general, including finding a delivery time that would be in keeping with my contractor's schedule. I'm sure they haven't seen the end of me, but I would be remiss if I failed to share my great experiences with the team. Where do I start?!? From the moment we walked in they are ready to help you! And you get the feeling that you just don't get these days anymore...they want to help you! The store was clean and they have something for every budget which I definitely appreciated. We went on a Saturday and the place was NOT a madhouse. Can't say the same about the Home Depot next door. We were able to find parking easily. They help you load whatever you buy into your vehicle. Which who doesn't love that! The prices on everything we saw were very reasonable and with today's inflation I didn't feel like I overpaid for floors that were undervalued. All of the store associates were professional, knowledgeable and like I said want to help you. I absolutely loved my experience from beginning to end! It was my first time at Floor&Decor, currently in the process of rehabbing a home and heard really great things about the store! Seriously can't believe it took me this long to step foot in here, by far the best pricing and great quality tile, stone etc you will find in Chicago. When you walk in it can be overwhelming because of how many incredible options there are, but that's where their incredible designers come in to play. On my first visit Jordann (designer) spent an hour or two walking through the wall/floor tile section with me and bringing my ideas and vision to life! She had so many great ideas and her patience and input was so valuable, I went in with an inspiration and left with concrete designs for all three bathrooms and backsplash of my kitchen. She made me feel so much better and excited about the entire process. I took my designs home and came back a few days later to make the purchase order and Jordann was off that day, but Taylor (designer) who is also amazing, was already up to date on my entire design concept, as Jordann had already filled her in and she helped execute some last minute changes and with processing our order. I'm really so impressed, bc not only are they great at what they do, their service is free! It's like getting an interior designer included in your tile purchase! I'm a Huge Fan!! Also shoutout to Daniel at the Pro Desk who also helped me get set up on my pro account, because if you work in the industry (contractor, realtor, etc.) you qualify for a pro account and can get points on your spend! Melissa in the tile department is the most knowledgable and helpful salesperson and has a great eye for design. I already left a review for the Countryside location because this one wasn't open when I started my bathroom remodel and while they were helpful there as well, Addison is even better. The store is new, clean, and much more conveniently located to downtown. Melissa helped me match tiles previously sold to me that didn't work in my bathroom and I couldn't thank her enough. I know this store for years and I have experience buying products in here and I can honestly say that their products is excellent. There are other options actually but I trust this store more and I can get everything I needed like materials and all to this store. That is also what I like about this store, the staff are all accommodating and helpful and they are knowledgeable too. The staff literally knows what he is doing and I can easily tell that his opinions are good. They have a clean, organized and wide selection of every product they have. The important material I needed is tiles and they have a literally wide selection of it in seriously different designs and all and I could not ask for more. The staff was so helpful by suggesting and I definitely agree with him. I did not think twice after a long time of looking around and buy the specific tiles I wanted.
