Damn, this is a great store. I wish I didn't like it so much because I can easily see myself spending far too much money here. I heard of this store months ago, when I was looking up plant shops to visit. I've driven by a few times because it's only about a mile away from me. Finally, when I saw that Charlene H.'s review, I first added her as a friend and then decided I needed to get to H+T sometime soon. Serendipity would lead to me to be just a couple blocks from the shop today so I decided I should stop in. That was a mistake, because I spent a lot more money than I had intended to spend. This store is at its core a home decor store, so it's not specifically a plant shop. But they DO have an extensive collection of plants, both indoor houseplants and outdoor plants. They have starters and they have seeds as well. Of course they have just about everything you need to care for your plants too: pots, gloves, potting soil, pruning shears, and so on. They have a really nice collection of pots, by the way; in addition to some of the ones I've seen at just about every plant shop, I got a couple others that I haven't seen elsewhere and are quite beautiful. Their prices are not out of line with other plant shops in the area. But I didn't stop there, because they have a seriously beautiful collection of items to decorate your home. I restrained myself to some extent but I could have gotten a lot more. I bought a photo frame, a basket for the new ZZ plant I purchased, a raven ZZ, and the two pots. They have really beautiful picture frames here so now I need to identify photos that I want prints of so I can buy more frames. (Can we bring back film photography, please?) Clever and cute idea to put photos of Lizzo in all of the frames, I dig it. I really like my plant basket too, so I may need to buy more of them. They had some really nice side tables that I would probably use as plant stands since some of them are small... or if I had more fancy furniture in my home too, I suppose. This is a store that I would love to buy things from because they'd make my home look sophisticated. The staff were really friendly, welcoming, and happy to help me. They charged me twice for one of the pots, but I realized that before leaving and they fixed it straightaway. Then when I realized I had bought a 5x7 frame instead of a 4x6 frame, the return was easy. But they do have a more conservative return policy than a mass merchandiser would, so be sure that you understand the return policy before you purchase. read more

It is my goal to visit every personally owned plant shop summer 2022. This was stop #9. By accident I saw it driving my son to his volleyball game. I made a mental note and drove back today. The biggest negative is the cost. These plants are for sure on the pricey side in comparison. Most of the plants looked healthy with a few struggling. The positives are they had a nice assortment of plants. They had a cherry wonderful worker and one of the owners working. They assisted but they also gave a nice balance allowing the customer space to browse and linger. This is not just a plant shop but they have nice pieces of furniture, home accessories, and scents I would welcome to my home any day. This store is tastefully done. And the icing on this experience is the musical artist Lizzo is featured in their photo frames throughout the store letting us know how chic this store is. Even with steeper prices I am putting this shop on my list of plant shops to frequent in the future. Great store located in a nice community. read more

New plant daddy here, got my first couple low maintenance plants last month at Hearthstone & Terrace and I did not make it a secret to the lovely people there that I didn't know one thing about plants. They seemed almost excited to welcome me into the world of this hobby that seemed to have taken storm during the pandemic for many renters and homeowners. Absolutely love visiting this shop and giving them my business because frankly, they're nice people who have a passion and a vast amount of knowledge of all things plants. Now a month later I got three wonderful pots in my living room and working on making this a much bigger hobby in my life. Don't be afraid to ask these people any questions or to have a good look around the place. A must-visit stop in the Uptown neighborhood. read more

Even though I'm always in the area, I noticed this spot for the first time on Labor Day as I was biking by. I saw all the beautiful plants thriving outdoors, and I've been considering getting another plant. I walked into the beautiful modern space with plants everywhere. As a novice plant owner, I did not know where to start so I wandered to the outdoor terrace where I was greeted. From there, he was so kind, friendly but not pushy as I let him know what I was looking for - a low maintenance house plant that loves indirect light. He gave me so many options that were affordable. After taking alot of pictures and sleeping on it, I returned today and bought my second ever plant. The man today was just as helpful and kind, especially with deciding on pots. I love the vibe of this place, and I left happy and with so much more plant knowledge. read more

I can't say enough good things about Hearthstone and Terrace! Their outdoor section offers a wide selection of annuals and perennials on season, and Christmas trees and trimmings going into winter. They have a great stock of supplies, containers, soils, and garden decor. Inside is delightful as well! Their home selection is beautiful and so well curated. I stopped in recently and picked up an amazing rabbit bust, along with some end tables, frames, candles... I could easily take one of everything! Their indoor plant selection is quite special - unusual plants you don't see everywhere, along with popular favorites. I've never gone to Hearthstone and Terrace without buying at least one plant. I frequent many nurseries in the area, and the items at Hearthstone are atypical to the standard fare at local nurseries. There's not much more that I love than a great home, gift, and garden store, and this one knocks it out of the park. read more

I know they offer much more than furniture--look up their website--however, I can only speak on the service I received. I LOVE everything I ordered from them.
