I started a "project" request via Yelp! for the fabrication of a small, customized stone base for an antique piece of architectural art. The finished piece's dimensions are only 11" x 24"-- so QUITE small in the grand scheme of things. Several vendors I had called previously informed me that they don't take on such niche projects. Custom Marble Design, however, were the first to respond and went above and beyond in their customer service, execution, and workmanship. As soon as they received my inquiry, they extended an invite to visit their location and shop thru available remnants. When I arrived, I was personally escorted around the premises and shown a variety of options (multiple stone types and color variations.) I had lots of questions-- all of which were answered thoroughly and kindly. Even though I arrived about 30 minutes before closing time (I received their invite while I was running errands & headed straight over), I never felt rushed or dismissed. My "little project" was treated with the utmost care & respect. This location also offered me a flat rate price for the project, so there were no hidden fees or complications regarding the stone I selected or my finishing parameters. I officially placed my order (stone selection and project specs) on Tuesday and was shocked to learn that it was ready for pick up that Friday. I just picked up the finished stonework today & could not be more pleased with the results! The order was completed to my exact specifications & finished with care. When I told them that I'd carry the piece to my car they insisted on taking it out for me. Everyone I encountered at this business (in person & via email) was exceptionally attentive, professional, and kind. (Special thanks to Bojan & Jovan and their fabulous fabricators!) If you have any customized stone projects in your future, I'd highly recommend you reach out to them! Incredible service start to finish, plus a really incredible selection in their remnant yard, which is where I found the stone for the vanity they made and installed for me in my powder room. We had a quartz kitchen countertop replaced and had a wonderful experience using CMD (Custom Marble Design) and working with Karen. She is the best!! She is very knowledgeable and professional and always had great designing tips, as I am not really good at picking out patterns. She was very transparent with pricing and instillation details. The countertop fit perfectly and looks great! Karen was always easy to get a hold of for questions and always answered calls promptly. It was helpful that I could bring the samples to my home to see what it looked like in the kitchen with the right lighting. The quartz is easy to maintain and looks great! Bojan was great and straight forward from the start. He informed us the quartz we were looking for was back ordered with no ETA. He brought us some samples of similar colors and we decided to go with one of them. His team showed up nice and early the day of installation and they were very professional and friendly. They did a great job and left everything nice and clean. I'd highly recommend Custom Marble Design to anyone looking to get new countertops. Thanks for the great service Bojan and team! read more

We spent hours and many miles in search of a granite countertop. We finally found Custom Marble Design. First our salesman, Ryan AMAZING, nicest guy you'd ever want to meet! Pretty sure he has made his mother and father very proud. Then we met Bojan, what a really welcoming man....very pleasant to deal with, hope his son really enjoys that Coca Cola bike! On to our installers.... what words to use....friendly, efficient and professional! They went out of their way to make sure we were more then satisfied. We'd recommend Custom Marble Design to anyone.... Best decision we made! read more

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service at Custom Marble Design. It was unreal how fast and attentive Bojan was at answering questions, emails, texts, you name it. Unlike other companies I had researched he was fast, reliable, and very easy to understand. The whole process from searching for him on Yelp to having my counters installed took less than two weeks. The supplier in Niles that he works with had a large selection of material and were also very friendly (not true for other locations (MSI) that I had looked at). The quality of the tops and cuts made are terrific and the men who installed the them were also polite and friendly. All around I had a very positive experience. As a first-time home buyer I was pretty nervous going in to the whole process, but Bojan made me feel like I made a good choice working with him. I would definitely recommend Bojan and his team to anyone who was looking for new countertops. read more

My wife and I had a great experience working with Ryan at Custom Marble Design. We were already pretty exhausted by slab-hunting when we met him. Ryan suggested a supplier based on our preferences, and he even met us on site to help us inspect the materials. Ryan's attentiveness to customers is evident, because the supplier he suggested was thankfully our last stop. The install was scheduled about a week after we purchased the material, and it only took a few hours. The counter tops look incredible. They gave us a new sink on the house, and they even made us a cutting board from the leftover material. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Great customer service. read more

My experience with Custom Marble Design and Jovan have been so excellent and rewarding that I had 2 bathroom's and kitchen counter tops installed by them. His design knowledge is excellent. I was so confused after looking at several counter tops for my kitchen that I called Jovan and told him at this time it needed to go on the back burner. After I short time of looking at other stores and options came back to Custom Marble. Pricing is fair, the help you receive is just excellent. The installers are very competent know what they are doing and very clean. I highly recommend this company for your counters. read more

Countertop 101: Pick out the slab and stone that you want from a supplier. And THEN you find a fabricator. The fabricator will cut the slab and charge you the price. (Betcha didn't know that!) 2/3/15 was the first time I contacted Bojan to fabricate my kitchen countertop. It was installed in 1 day on 9/14/15. What took so long, you ask? My husband and I decided that instead of hiring a GC who would upcharge ~20%, we would be the GCs instead. Mind you, this is our 1st home and the learning curve is steep. There's a piece of us that dies every day during this 10 month (and counting) renovation. Bojan walked us through the process and was so patient, even with multiple layout edits. Heck, he held our massive slab of quartzite in his warehouse for 7 months bc we told him we'd be ready in a few. We also wanted a mitered edge purely bc we are superficial ppl. But our bank acct hasn't seen numbers like that since college days. Instead of scoffing at us for wanting something luxurious w/o the funds, Bojan was willing to work with us. I LOVE our countertop and it's the first thing to get complimented in our home! We r definitely going to use CMD for bathrooms and fireplace. [Bojan, give us 10 months at least :)] Now go get your gorgeous countertops from CMD! read more

We were new to kitchen renovation and Bojan gave us good advice for countertop selection. Measurement for countertop took about an hour. Installation was scheduled and executed a week later in couple of hours. Countertop fabrication was a perfect fit making the best of the granite slab. Single seam is almost invisible. Great job! I highly recommend Custom Marble Design. read more

We used Custom Marble Design for the surround on our fireplace, the counter tops in our master and guest baths, and also for my husband's custom bar. Taking advice from the reviews I read on Yelp, we went in and asked to see some slabs first. Bojan showed us a wide array of what was available based off what I wanted. We got lucky and found 2 pieces that worked for the fireplace (Brazilian Quartzite) and Master Bath (we used the same quartzite), as well as for the kids bath (white quartz). He gave us a fair price and even though we were having a ton of work done and the scheduling was crazy, he worked with us to get our slabs cut and installed when we wanted and needed them. We then needed a piece of stone for the bar - he showed us a gorgeous piece of marble and again gave us a good price. It was cut and installed within a couple days and we absolutely love it. When the seal was coming undone (the caulk seal) in our bathroom, he sent his guys out to redo the seal. And when we had to remove the counter top to place on a new vanity, he sent his guys out at a discounted price to do the work a second time. Bojan and his team are really great to work with. Bojan is always very quick to return my emails and phone calls, and he really knows his stuff. He has a great selection of remnant slabs, which I have taken advantage of, but obviously can get you whatever you want/need. Their customer service is excellent and pricing is great - I highly recommend Custom Marble Design and when we expand our kitchen and add our new Master Suite in a year or two, you know who we will be calling! read more

Found these guys after getting no response from other places for quotes and super happy it worked out that way. Bojan got back to me in less than 2 hours with a quote. Jovan helped us find the right marble for our master bath countertop at the warehouse. Price came out spot on to Bojan's quote; measure and install all happened inside a week which was great. High quality install, great service/follow up, will use them again when we redo the kitchen counters. Highly recommend. read more

Wow! If only they sold more than counter tops! I would do business with Custom Marble over and over again. Jovan was incredibly helpful and patient helping me choose the perfect quartz countertop. He didn't try to up-sell me at any point. Offered plenty of choices and samples to take home and review. After much deliberation on my part, I chose Jovan's recommendation and the finished product is gorgeous!! Measurements were perfect! He was so professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The installers were beyond exceptional. You can tell they are experienced and really good at what they do. Installation was seamless. We called Custom because of their great reviews and we found them all to be correct. Two days after moving in to our new house, the kitchen sink collapsed, falling away from the granite top. Not only was the service prompt when we called, the technician, Ray was knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. We would not hesitate to call these guys again for any kind of granite repair. So pleasant to see a company live up to their reputation. read more

Bojan's work is clearly superior and spectacular. A true professional. Unlike the master, his installers are not perfect.

So glad I found this company on Yelp. Kathie helped me to chose my granite top. Very knowledgeable and sweet. Bojan was great! Very professional and clean (they brought their own wet/dry vac). I am very happy. read more

We are very happy with the beautiful results of our new construction quartz kitchen countertops. We had to make counter decisions from California, before we moved to our Illinois home, so it was additionally complicated. Jovan was very responsive and helpful! The fabrication and installation was excellent and done in a timely fashion. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to write this one. I recently remodeled my kitchen and hired Bojan's company to do the countertops and full backspash. From the moment I contacted Bojan about the quote, it's been a wonderful experience. He replied within an hour! I wanted to do Volga Blue granite for the countertops, so he recommended a company that had the largest selection of Volga Blue. Fabrication and installation went very smoothly. The installers were great! They came on time, set my expectations, finished on time, cleaned up after themselves. Two weeks later, after I finally put all my dishes into the cabinets, I noticed that one of the doors wasn't closing smoothly and there was a friction with the backsplash (probably the cabinet sunk a bit due to the weight of the dishes). I contacted Bojan and right away he offered to send his guys to fix it. They just finished here. Needless to say they did an excellent job, again. I would highly recommend Bojan's company. You will not regret. Great customer experience all the way! Thanks Bojan! I love my new countertops! :) read more

We are incredibly happy with our new granite countertops. Grateful for Custom Marble Design expertise and outstanding customer service.

CMD installed new countertops when we redid our kitchen. I found them on yelp and they did a great job! All the staff that I worked with were wonderful. Jovan was very responsive and easy to reach. The person who took the measurements was accurate so there were no issues with the final product. They recommended places to see the different countertops and were willing to go to shop where i had seen the one I ultimately chose. They gave me a reasonable quote with no hidden charges. The installers had to come out twice because the sink that i had ordered had a hareline crack that we had not noticed. When the intaller pointed out to the defect to me, I chose to return the sink as i did not want to install a new sink which had a small defect. They understood and came back when i got the replacement sink. Installers did a great job and we were very pleased that we chose this company. Thanks for the great work, susan C read more

My contractor recommended them. My kitchen remodel is ambitious for a small space, and required lots of unique cutting of several pieces. I also wanted a more expensive color and material than what is typical because I wanted a specific, bluish color scheme. They directed me to the warehouse where I could see an infinite number of samples. They also made sure that they could complete my job using one slab of stone, which was remarkable considering how many others were skeptical it could be done. That saved me a huge amount of money and I made no concessions. Bohan was extremely patient with me and answered all my questions and made several helpful suggestions. I cannot be more pleased. read more
