The person who measured our bathroom did not know what he was doing. His supervisor did not know what he was doing. They lied to us about the process. They wanted an extra for doing the job that they had originally quoted; the project had not changed. They will not return our marble. They are one of the worst contractors we have had to deal with. I can't believe it. There are gaps between the countertop and the walls . Apparently as a customer, I was supposed to know that was industry standard and that I should have known a painter needs to be hired to come and caulk around these edges. ridiculous. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM YAZMA. She talked down to me and told me in all her 20+ years, she's never had to tell a customer that they had to find someone else to caulk the gap between the countertop and the wall. Total lack of customer service and response. Left several messages for Louiza, but never received a return phone call. Spoke to Tiffany regarding a problem, but she was rude, short-tempered and cut me off. Considering I used them for a kitchen and bath remodel and hoped to use them again for three more bathrooms and a laundry room, it's very disheartening to learn that they care so little for maintaining good customer relationships. read more

We had a great experience with Marble Emporium from start to finish for a kitchen project in one of our apartments. We worked with Tiffany who from the start taught us all about the options in stone available and based on our ideas was able to help us make the right choice. She really went above and beyond to show us options that fit our needs. The installation all went great as well! Even with a small chip of our quartz moving through tight quarters and up the stairs, the team repaired it on site immediately with no possible way to see there was ever a tiny chip reassuring that the repair was successful. I actually loved the piece of marble that I bought for my bathroom from Marble Emporium. I have to agree, however, that their customer service is horrible. Not once, but TWICE, Marble Emporium gave me a window of time (several hours) that they would be coming to install my marble. I took off work, made sure I was home, made sure other contractors were scheduled the next day to come and finish work in the bathroom. And TWICE they called me the day of and told me they weren't coming at all. I would not use them again. read more

We recently used Marble Emporium for our remodeled kitchen in downtown Chicago. We worked with Tiffany and she was awesome. Her response to emails was instantaneous! We were looking for a newer quartz from Aurea Stone- Paragon, that was hard to find and she was able to quickly secure slabs. The gentleman that came to measure was pleasant, efficient, and on time! The installers were great and pleasant as well. We had a minor problem during installation but the company had someone come out quickly to remedy the situation and made sure we were pleased at every step. I am a designer specializing in tile and stone and have done several jobs with Marble Emporium with-in the past 6 months and have been very pleased with each and every one of them. The Marble Emporium staff is professional and timely. When ever they said they were going to be at a jobsite they were there within the window of time they committed to. We have ordered stone from Marble Emporium for several projects over the last 12 years. We work with designer, Juliette K., and she is amazing!! She helps us to make thoughtful choices that make sense for our projects - not just trying to sell us the most expensive slab on the lot. Whenever we have called them to help us resolve an issue, they take care of it at our convenience (e.g., hot oil stain, chip in the edge, etc.) I have had friends looking for stone that couldn't believe the quotes they were getting at other vendors. I sent them to Juliette and their quotes came back at almost half the price that they had been quoted elsewhere! We are now working on our personal residence and never considered working with anyone else! read more

I just did an exhaustive search of the granite suppliers in the Chicago area, searching for the perfect slab. I visited showrooms in Chicago, Naperville, Elk Grove, and Northbrook, and concluded that Granite America was the best.... Of course they have a wonderful selection (like a couple of other showrooms), but Granite America rises above the rest in two ways: First, the customer service was absolutely flawless. Every staff member I met offered helpful design advice, patient assistance, and genuine hospitality. Once I picked the slab, they helped me fuss over tile and even grout selections. They really care about their customers, and it shows every step of the way... The second thing that sets Granite America apart is the atmosphere. Like me, they have a deep appreciation for the magnificence of the rocks they sell... The second you walk in the door, it's clear that granite, marble, and quartzite are more than just construction materials--they are the earth's works of art, displayed in backlit frames and surrounded by classical music. It's like going to an art museum. What a pleasure! When I told my fabricator that i loved Granite America, he wasn't surprised. Love the stone, love the people, love the service! Have completed three gorgeous bathrooms with their help. Marble Emporium has absolutely beautiful granite, quartzite, marble, etc. They also have a huge selection of remnants to choose from. Even the installation has been a pleasure...no hassles...no worries. The only problem is that I have run out of bathrooms to remodel. Do not use these guys if you are on any sort of deadline. They have no voice mails so you need to keep calling to talk to anyone, and its difficult to get return phone calls. Typically I would have to call a minimum of 3 times before getting whoever I needed to talk to. My salesperson was very helpful and patient, but only in 3 or 4 days a week, so it would take forever to get back to me. What should have taken weeks took months. Not one of my 5 so far scheduled deliveries was actually on the day they would schedule it for- we would coordinate other subs around their installations, and then they would push them back without warning. The only reason I found out they were missing scheduled installation dates is because I would call (and call two more times at least until I could talk to someone) to confirm. After they messed up the measurements of my kitchen island, I had to wait another 2.5 weeks for them to redo it. And they have inflated "North Shore" prices- go to Elk Grove and get better deals. I worked with them at my contractor's suggestion/ insistence and because I liked the idea of using a local firm. Use someone more reliable than Marble Emporium unless you have a lot of time and patience! read more

The Quartz that I chose for 2 Master Bathroom countertops was beautiful and reasonably priced. My salesman, Frank, was helpful during the purchase. Voytek came to my home to get exact measurements and was very meticulous. Unfortunately, the one piece of Quartz's width was cut about a half inch shorter than the measurement that I signed off on. This is an issue because the one countertop has the correct overhang but the other is too short. The existing mirror then had to be removed and cut so the countertops would appear to be similar. I told my salesman that this occurred and he did not have much to say. He did not offer an remedies or reimbursement for a product delivered that was not to the specs that were established by a meticulous measurement by Marble Emporium personnel. I requested at least compensation for the labor of the mirror (had to bring in a mirror specialist), but was told, "I'll get back to you." It is now 3 weeks after the installation and I have not received a call back from Frank. I will not be going back to Marble Emporium for my wet bar or kitchen. read more

First I have to say the finished job Looks Great! But to get to that point is Questionable. My wife and i had a Great experience when we first waked in the door the Greeter was great and helpful the shop was Great helping pick out the stone. Our salesperson was helpful showing as well, but that is where it ended. I had brought in a template of the stone we wanted covered on our fireplace telling her if was only the top of the stone that had to add for the thickness of the stone to cover the front edge. we left her telling us that she would e-mail the price quote which she did $750. Told her ok lets do it. Sent someone out to check out the size. Than the new price of $1628 I said how come she said I only asked to cover the top. Not true my wife and I both where there she did not lesion. Than she emailed me and said go a lessor priced stone. I wanted to get this done and over with so i agreed to change the way the edge would be finished for $1252. We are doing our kitchen over this week the counter tops are iceberg leather Quartize cost $13000. because of the salesperson we went elsewhere. I am sorry for Marble Emporium because the finished product was Great, I hope the owner see this. Every employee other the salesperson was a Great experience.
