Worked with Thomas Z to get my order in for granite countertops + island. After signing and putting a deposit down it went down hill - It was nearly impossible to get any assistance with the order afterward in terms of potential changes (ie different sink). A dismissive and unhelpful attitude. On installation day the installers showed up on time but seemed to rush the job and the effects show it: 1. Faucet hole off center of the sink cutout 2. Countertop overhang uneven over cabinets 3. Top edges of the backsplash not polished. The stone I selected is nice but for a higher end granite you'll pay a heftier price. Overall I'd not recommend this place for poor customer service ('advisor') and sloppy installation.

Nice selection of granite and marble. Few notes kids are not allowed in the back as it dangerous back there. Free samples if you need a small piece to bring home but take a pic of the large slab. You pick the slab you want. Still needs to be installed so will update later.. My marble countertops came and look beautiful! The cutting board is also very nice!

I have been working with Mario, and found the experience to be incredibly difficult and disappointing. I provided pictures of the layout of my kitchen and measurements of cabinets, and inquired multiple times if there is anything else I need to ensure my kitchen is "finished". Mario was little to no help, and stated he isn't a designer. I was not expecting him to design anything, merely ensure as a cabinet expert and project manager for your company that all components needed to finish my kitchen were included in my order. I was first told that the cabinets were solid wood cabinets by Mario - only to find out the boxes are actually not solid wood and neither is my complete door for my shaker cabinet. This was not upfront or honest. My cabinets were delivered (with some damage pictures attached - Mario did not respond when I called repeatedly as they were being delivered or my urgent emails. Over a day later he advised I could drive my cabinets back in myself and they can fix them - I live in downtown Chicago and paid for delivery - obviously this was not an option), and despite telling me I had white shaker cabinets, I actually have unpainted boxes and an unfinished bottom on my cabinets. Additionally, there was not a panel to cover where this unpainted box would show by my microwave and no shelves for two of my upper cabinets. Mario took zero responsibility when I called and voiced my frustration and concerns. He informed me "he is not a mind reader". I did not expect him to be a mind reader, but did expect him to be a professional with better customer service. Also, when placing the order for the cabinets Mario stated he would keep me updated every step of the way. This NEVER happened. I pushed for every update, they were delayed beyond the date he advised I would have them. During my countertop measurements I was told by the very nice gentleman, Tom, that came out that the countertop would not fit in my elevator (despite the fact the same size countertop has already been in my place in that same elevator - and neighbors also had the same size countertop in one piece). Thankfully, Natalia helped me while Mario was out, and worked to find an option to have these countertops delivered in one piece (kudos to her). I was so grateful at instillation that countertop was in one piece. I provided pictures to Natalia prior to instillation showing my level cabinets. At no point did the installers state my cabinets were not level to lay the countertop. They placed the countertop DIRECTLY WITH WEIGHT on my DISHWASHER! Pictures of this are included. Shivs where put in, but the weight was not on them. MY contractor (not factory plaza) saw this and was immediately VERY concerned. He rectified the situation immediately out of fear the legs were going to break off my dishwasher. He also filled in part of the area around the shiv and countertop as NOTHING had been filled in or sealed correctly, and he was mortified another professional would leave my kitchen in this shape. There were also two small chips on the edge of my countertop from instillation which my contractor pointed out to me. After a week of emails, the installers were back out today to try and fix what had gone wrong. They sealed what was missed, evened out out the caulking for the shivs which had been left sticking out. Then when I asked if anything could be down about the chips they said yes, we can buff them right out. This resulted in one hand sanding creating a divot in my countertop. Then Roberto working endlessly to try to even this back out and match the corner rounds and even/smooth the side. He worked very hard to do this, but the corners do not match as they did at the time of installation, and the side is smooth but uneven (spots that have a noticeable dip when you run your hand across the surface). My purchase was for countertops with flat edges and matching corners. I do not have this. Also, when trying to repair the chips to the countertop which were from installation the workers began sanding the countertops (with no furniture coverings or warning about the amount of dust that was about to be generated). My furniture will need to be professionally cleaned due to how this was done, and the quartz dust that covered EVERYTHING in the condo. Additionally, an installer broker a pricey glass and chrome soap dispenser. I found it very unprofessional that the item was broken and NOT mentioned to me. I went into the bathroom to find it broken and no one else besides the installer had used that bathroom. Mario has to call me as he as he said he would do 5 days ago, I have followed up via phone and email. I also emailed and called the owner/VP - Darek Bosek with no response. His email if you need it for the future is Darek@factoryplaza.com. I would never work with them again. The price was right, but this is a situation of you get what you pay for from them.

Our final granite choice; the lovely giallo ornamental.

We remodeled our small kitchen in Oct/Nov of 2011. After getting an exorbitant quote from Lowe's for granite, even though we ordered their cabinets at a decent-to-average price, we started to shop around. Lowe's really wanted to sell us quartz and we weren't interested in an man-made/assembled material. We called various granite yards and they told us if we mentioned we were looking at big box stores, their price would be as high or higher than them, as they have agreements with the big box stores. And the granite yards were very fussy with appointments & how many slabs you could view. After too many hours of searching on the internet for granite stores, I must have been up to at least the 10th company when I found Factory Plaza. To throw out some names of places I called or visited: Rogan Granite, Lowe's, Menards, HOBO, Home Depot, some no-name places, and Stone City. My first thought when I read the great reviews and excellent prices was "what's the catch?" It seemed too good to be true in my never-ending remodel. We went to Factory Plaza's showroom probably 4-5 times. We couldn't make up our mind because it was too hard to envision the room (even bringing the cabinet door along!). After doing a stain test on Kasmir Gold, we weren't happy, it stained! We ended up with a much tougher granite that doesn't stain called "Giallo Ornamental", a beautiful and popular stone. We looked at NVG and Santa Cecilia as well. Giallo Ornamental is just gorgeous! When all was said and done we got the same granite for 60% of the cost of Lowe's "C" class granite. 40% savings! We marked our slab with tape to show how we wanted it cut, the nice man measured our lower cabinets on Nov 2 and it was installed on Nov 12. Granite installation was fast (1 hour) yet quite stinky with the epoxy's. They did a very good job and didn't damage my home in any way. TIGHT SEAMS! It may have been quicker but we changed our minds and may have delayed it by a day. Things to know: 1) They give you a cash discount, take advantage if you can. 2) At the time they give you a free S.S. sink if you spend over $1500. The quality of the free sink is just great. It's deep, not thin, quiet, and we are happy! 3) Their sink strainers are worth the added cost, I paid $12 for each strainer and they are truly unique, you can't find them in stores with the little handle. 4) We had a small language barrier with the lady, but she was helpful and nice. 5) There's not much "installed" granite to view, I'd say 75% of it is just viewing slabs indoors. 6) They're fast. Most places like Hobo want 3-4 weeks from measure to install. Rogan was 2 weeks and Lowe's was 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly. Factory Plaza was 10 days! ***6) They and/or the other companies on this street need to pay to have the street repaved. It's a tiny industrial park in an area of homes and it was really, really hard on the car with all those pot holes!! (Would take away a star but I love F.P. too much!) A+ experience, would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you and I wish I found your company before going to all those other annoying stores! I will post a photo!

I found this place through a Google search, and thank God I did. I was about to pull the trigger with another company for $1000 more when I found these guys. I called them to ask if they carry a granite called Lennon they did not, however the girl on the phone offered two other colors that were very close. I went over a few days later and found a color "cold spring" which looked awesome and nearly identical to the Lennon I wanted. Long story short I picked out a slab and put my name on it. I paid $39.00 sq ft installed. They charge a few dollars per mile if your house is over 50 miles. I asked about the free sink for orders over $1500 but that was a year end promotion that expired. She said my granite was 5.00 off per square foot so it worked out better then the free sink. The sell stainless steel sinks from China for $145.00 but I bought my own elsewhere. They take a 50% deposit and balance due on delivery. 5 stars

Great Customer Service and Great Prices!…read more I am absolutely in awe of the design and customer help that Kasia Flis has provided us for our project. From the start Kitchen & Bath Masters, beat any of the competitors prices -- and trust me I did shop around!!! =) Not only they beat the price by more than 10%, they have excellent customers service. I only dealt with Kasia Flis, who is very professional, and has been in constant contact with us. This is the first kitchen I am doing myself, so I just called her more than 45 days past the delivery date, and we just swapped out one of cabinets for a larger one. (My fault in 100%) but they are handling it for us. Delivery staff are also great to work with and helped us carry the cabinets to the 2nd floor apartment. We love the new white cabinets, We tried to match the sizes of the same kitchen that we had, but Kasia worked with us to modernize it and change couple of key thing. We are very happy with the outcome and I will attach some before and after shots of our project . Great Transformation on a small budget! Thanks Again and keep up the great work!

Planning went well and they scheduled to start after Thanksgiving. Mike, the builder, did most of the work. His work is pretty good. I would rate it a B. He could have worked to cover our bedroom furniture from dust, and cover the floor better, but it was not horrible. The company did not charge us for all of they drywall that was replaced, but I was told it was easier to replace it all rather than try to patch in with what was left of the old stuff. Their painter botched the job. He did not clean the roller of lint and left a huge amount of lint all over the newly replaced walls. He came and repainted, and still only did a mediocre job. We paid $100 more for it to be painted again to do another coat to fix his mess, and to change color (our choice). The painter did not cover all the walls well so they sent someone out again. Overall: *Verlissa was very good and was a strong communicator. *Mike's work was pretty good- we would use him again. *The painter - poor- all three times he came. *Time: While we were annoyed by the last parts of the job getting done, the main part of the job got done quickly. They should have followed-up and finished the repaint more quickly. *Cost- we are not really sure. This was our first remodel job. We feel we got a fair price.

We consulted multiple companies to bring ideas, design recommendations, and experience to help us make an informed decision. Master's Kitchen and Bath were the last company we spoke with, and I am glad we did. Having an older home leads to a lot of questions and uncertainty. All of the concerns and what if's (which lead to a lot of added unforeseen expenses) were addressed with clarity, confidence, and the reassurance we were looking for. From the first consultation, design process, and throughout the remodel, we felt we made the right decision to hire Master's. Working with everyone at Master's Kitchen and Bath was a great experience. The project manager listened to our vision, and he was able to come up with a clear plan on how to make it happen. The designer was very in tune with our style preferences and provided us with a lot of great options, a lot of which we had never considered. The whole project took about 5 weeks, starting with the demo. It took me over a year to actually sign the contract due to my crazy schedule, but they were patient with me. I wanted to knock down a wall for an open floor plan with a peninsula counter, and Marc and Joe helped me figure out a solution for moving the refrigerator that I couldn't imagine on my own. I loved being able to see their 3D renderings of the proposed designs, especially since I kept modifying my plan. Petar, the contractor was excellent, friendly, and able to accommodate my specific requests to make sure I was satisfied. He exchanged a specific dimmer switch that accommodated what I wanted. Randomly, my toilet handle broke while he was here, and even though it was probably bound to happen to anyone, he went out and bought a new handle and fixed that too (above and beyond)! I wanted to resell my old cabinet set since it was still in very good condition, and they (kudos to Jose, the cabinet guy) removed them from my kitchen and put them aside without damaging anything. They will tell you if you are making a mistake in any of your decisions. For instance I was planning on having a shorter counter overhang than what they proposed. They were very insistent that it should be at least 18" and I figured that 12" would be plenty. Well, I'm happy with what I finally decided, but a couple extra inches might have been better, to Marc's credit, ...so, make sure it's at least 14" in the center! :-D I would recommend Masters Kitchen and Bath to anyone. Just something to keep in mind: They are a one-stop shop and have a decent selection of cabinets, counters, tiles, and hardware. You can select items from an outside source, if there is something else you prefer, but you should at least expect to get the cabinets and counters from them to make this all worthwhile.
