Beautiful new Corian Quartz countertops and ANO under mount stainless steel sink.
    Sid G.

I put a chip in our porcelain kitchen sink a month ago and thought it might be able to be repaired....but given its age and location of the chip, a repair wasn't a option. The sink and countertops were 23 years old so it was time for a upgrade. We went to the normal box stores to get ideas and pricing, didn't feel comfortable at those since we didn't know "who" was going to do the installation and what experience they had. We went to Windmill Countertops and glad we did. I could really ramble on how pleased we were with everybody and everything but I'll make this short and sweet. Ernie was fantastic! Nice, knowledgeable man and kept us informed at every step. Donna, she's great! A couple times we went to the store for samples and questions and she always made time for us and made us feel welcome. Mark was great as well, answered all my plumbing questions! A week before the installation, Caesar came out for a final measurement of everything. Very polite, thorough man and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. 3 employees did the installation, not "sub-contractors" but employees of Windmill Countertops. They too took pride in their work, polite and good workmanship. Everything fits perfect and looks great! From beginning to end, Windmill Countertops made what we thought would be a stressful job VERY stress free! Very pleased with the customer service and professionalism they provided, great to do business with a company that cares like they do. Thanks Ernie, Donna, Mark, Caesar and the rest of your crew! Our kitchen looks BETTER than new!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this business. As a matter a fact, I am not one that writes reviews very often, so this is saying something! Excellent people, kind and care about what they do. My experience from start to finish was excellent. Thank you to all the fabulous folks at Windmill!

Always wanted red countertop. Done on a budget :-)

Easy to work with. Did exactly what I wanted. Very timely and professional. No hesitation to recommend this company. All workers were well protected during this Covid time and took every precaution necessary. Work was outstanding.

I recently purchased a home in the downtown Naperville area and WDC came highly recommended by several of my neighbors. Cathie was such a pleasure to work with throughout the project! I wasn't exactly certain what I was looking for regarding the design and materials I wanted to use and the thought of such a large project was overwhelming at first...but as soon as I started working with Cathie...I had no worries. She took time to explain all the different cabinet styles, flooring types, and countertops available. She is exceptionally creative, and I couldn't be more satisfied and grateful to her not only for the end result but also the process. She constantly stayed in touch, giving me updates, asking if I was happy with how things were progressing and seeing if I wanted to make any adjustments or modifications along the way. I genuinely felt like this was an experience fully tailored to me and I honestly enjoyed it. The level of personal attention and customer service was outstanding. I will absolutely use Cathie and West Dupage Cabinet and Granite for my next project. Thank you again so much!

But the biggest thrill (and expense) in any of those remodels is the kitchen. If you are looking for a custom kitchen, then look no further than Past Basket. These guys are pros working with you every step of the way overlooking no small detail. Their showroom in Geneva actually is made up of their furniture quality cabinetry so that you can see what kind of potential pieces that you may want in your kitchen. They design and draw working with you and your architect to create a one of a kind design that you will just love to cook in. Since old houses are puzzles- putting a new kitchen in that looks like it had been there since the house was built- but has all the modern amenities was my goal. Dan McFadden and his team at Past Basket created an award winning kitchen for me that looks like it was part of the original house. The glass in the cabinets is wavy and old, the pulls on the doors worn looking, the armoire that hides my refrigerator and the cabinets that hide the modern day appliances all are functional as well as beautiful. No detail is too small for this team- in fact- they did such a good job on the kitchen- I also had them make the cabinetry for the family room as well as the master bathroom. They even solved my makeup lighting problem in the bathroom by creating lights that mimic the makeup counters at fine stores. They are also the only dealer for La Cornue stoves in the area. Once I saw one of these french works of stove art- I just knew it would be the centerpiece for my kitchen. Custom cabinetry may not be for everyone. After all- if you are not planning to stay in your home for awhile to enjoy it- there are certainly less expensive options around. But if you love to cook, and love the feeling of fine furniture no matter what room you are in your home- then go to Past Basket. Even if you only look around to get ideas for the future- or if you are there with your builder to get started- their staff will love to create with you the kitchen of your dreams. I should know. They did it for me

The original plan was to go with Ikea kitchen cabinets, with us putting them all together. After paying to meet with an Ikea Kitchen planner, who was no help at all, we received a very confusing 10 page list of parts.. some of which we needed.. others we didn't. Trying to figure it all out was frustrating and confusing. After posting a rant on facebook about this process, I received a private message telling me about Jamie owner of Heart of the Home in Batavia. After working with custom home builders for many years she now was able to sell the Wellborn line of cabinets to the public. Like I mentioned.. we were working with a limited budget, and cost was a major concern. I shared with her what the budget was and what they were looking for, and she thought she could make it work. Within a week she visited the house which had just been completely gutted, took measurements and gave us a very acceptable quote within their budget AND we didn't have to put the 10,000 pieces together! Not only that, but she also provided very valuable design advice to the first time home owners. The cabinets came in on time, when promised, and are beautiful! They have been installed and my son and his girlfriend couldn't be happier with the look of their new kitchen. .. The 3 guys who arrived called ahead 20 min, and were super careful to measure thrice and keep measuring and using a level as the piece dried. I felt very confident watching their concern to get the piece on the backsplash in an attractive and straight manner. They could not have been more professional. I'll say it once and say it again: when you deal with the salespeople at The Granite Corporation (that's their real name not "Granite") you kind of doubt that they have a clue about what they're selling. I don't know what will happen and it takes too long for them to finish up a sale, even though they mean well. However, when the measure & install team shows up, those are the people who really know what they're doing. They are top pros. I asked Sam, my sales person, how are they going to make sure the glue holds on a vertical application, and she did not know. I asked her if I should cover my stove, and she said, don't worry (of course, I did). When they showed up, they scored the back of both my backsplash and the new piece, so more glue would be applied. They applied glue all around the perimeter (not visable). They taped the piece in place and I put a spongy rug on my stove (just in case). They said, glue sets in 10 minutes and they held it that long, and it is good to go in a couple hours when I can take off tape. I would have liked to know that there would be a little granite dust in my kitchen ahead of time, to have removed everything from countertops, but they did hold up a vacuum while they scored my backsplash, so I cannot say that I see any dust (besides my own). They scored the new piece outside my house. The treasure here is the cutting, measuring & install team. They are premium craftsmen, very experienced and know how to communicate with the public. They're the ones who should be selling the granite!
