Great Experience all around. Kimberly was quick to schedule a sales appointment, brought all samples to our home to make a selection, measured same visit (about 45 minutes total). This review is long overdue. At the beginning of the year, we started to look for hardwood flooring to replace the laminate that had been installed by the previous owner in our 60's house (it originally had carpet). We were looking for something with color variation that would tie in with the various existing wood colors in the house and not look out of place. We also knew we wanted the wood to be sanded and finished on-site. After unsuccessfully looking in multiple showrooms on our own, we called Jess. Overall, he provided great customer service from beginning to end. He was patient with us while we decided on what wood we wanted, was prompt with appointments and returning our calls, and knowledgeable when we had questions. Managing a carpet installation in a townhouse over 1000 miles from where you live is not an easy task! We contacted Legendary Flooring in November to help us choose carpeting and arrange an installation date in a townhouse we owned in Lake in the Hills. We were balancing installation, painting, and tenant move out on a tight schedule around Thanksgiving. With the help of Legendary Carpet and a great painter, we were able to work around schedules and have the carpeting installed immediately after the painting was completed and while the tenants were finishing up their move. I wish I had a great review to leave .... : ( I went to these guys after seeing good reviews here. The initial contact was clunky, estimate was clunkier. I accepted their quote and hired them fairly quickly, but then waited a few weeks for replies back to schedule. They ultimately did not want to perform the work as quoted,. That decision apparently came at Jess' urging, but he never saw the project first hand, to make that assessment in a professional manner. After this discouraging and lengthy ordeal, we went with Empire, and were happy with their timing and end results. This is one small company that is a giant when it comes to great outcomes! Starting with an email request in 2019 to Kim, the estimator. She had lots of good ideas and responded promptly. The quote quickly followed and was right in the ballpark! The job involved a family room floor -- remove the carpeting and do their best to lay a floor that would match the wood floor in the adjacent room. AND, two friends had so highly recommended Jess and his helper, that I asked if they could do the work while I was out of town including moving the furniture out and putting it back. They did a superb job. Such a great job that I decided to repeat my good luck and have them remove carpeting and lay a wood floor in a bedroom this year, again asking for a best match of wood stain, and again asking for it to be done while I am away and removal and return of furniture. When I came home and saw their beautiful work, all I could say was WOW! Great skill, communication, and price from a local company with the added bonus of VERY competitive prices! I cannot begin to describe how happy we were with Legendary Flooring for our carpet install! The entire process, start to finish was absolutely wonderful. The people who work for this company are over the top accommodating, and provide the absolute best customer service. Kim was wonderful. I inquired about a quote on their website and she wrote back to me within the hour, even though it was 3 AM! They were so prompt in getting us scheduled for our quote and also with scheduling our installation. They had a little trouble finding the carpet that we wanted initially, but Kim went above and beyond to work with the company to find us exactly the carpet that we wanted. The installers showed up exactly on time and worked very effectively, and even though we had some big furniture to be moved, everything was done in a matter of hours. I fully expected there to be scuffs to the white trim, but the job was so very neatly done, I literally had no clean up behind the installers. Jess just finished installing LVP flooring (luxury vinyl plank) in my basement after a recent flood. It looks absolutely beautiful!!! I just LOVE the new flooring - it looks like real wood! Jess is VERY meticulous, clean, skillful and helpful. He is punctual and very considerate regarding dust, as I do have asthma. He left the basement cleaner than he found it! We had a fairly large job; rip up current laminate flooring downstairs, rip up carpeting on stairs and upstairs and replace with engineered hardwood. Jess came to our house bringing samples. By the second time, he knew what we liked and lead us to a beautiful hand scraped maple. The price was more than reasonable for the product and the job. It was only 3 weeks after we chose the flooring and the start of the job. The demo crew did a great job getting the old out and cleaning up. The floor was installed in only 4 days instead of the estimate of 5. They moved all of our furniture without any mishaps, and cleaned up very well after the job was done. We had a great experience with Legendary Flooring. The whole process was pretty smooth. Kim presented fair pricing to us for installing a stairway carpet and a Cali-Bamboo floor in our family room. We purchased a townhouse and chose to install hardwood floors ourselves. They day after we finished, the movers brought in the furniture and GOUGED a large portion of the floors when they moved the fridge on its own wheels. We did not have the experience enough to try and replace the individual boards effected and did not want to rip out wall-to-wall. We hired Legendary Flooring to fix the affected boards. They were extremely helpful and efficient and were able to complete the entire job in less than a day.
