We needed to have our floors replaced on our 2nd floor due to major squeaking before our new baby was born. EMC gave prompt quotes, were very friendly and professional, and even found a less-expensive way to lay the flooring to make sure it was squeak-free but more affordable. My dad owned a lumberyard and building materials company for over 40 years and commented several times on what a great job EMC did on our floors. To me, that's the ultimate testimony of a job well done. We will definitely hire these guys again should we ever need work done. The owner is very friendly and profession. read more

We just got our floors, baseboards, and stairs done with Emanuel and his crew. They did a great job, were quick, accommodating, and clean and reasonably priced. Will be using again and referring to others in the future. read more

Emanuel and his crew did an amazing job replacing our floors with vinyl, installing new baseboards, and completely renovating our staircase. They were quick, professional, and clean. I really appreciated how Emanuel took his time to measure every room and gave us an accurate and fair quote before beginning his work. Having a 9 month old baby, it meant a lot to us that they accommodated our needs and worked floor by floor and taped everything off to keep it clean. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will be using again in the future. Thank you! read more

Hired Emanuel to replace my floors and sub- flooring so that the whole house didn't seem to shake when anyone walked through. The result was perfect! His guys had to remove, save and put back the quarter round for the cabinets and they had to cut around existing cabinetry, which was the part that concerned me most. The guys did it all without any damage to cabinetry. I couldn't be happier and would absolutely recommend him. His price was very fair, especially for the quality of work. I was also pleasantly surprised by the limited dust. They were diligent about covering everything. Thank you! read more

So happy with the work. Price was also very reasonable. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you! read more

I recently had my floors done by EMC Floors and the result was amazing. Emmanuel was very responsive honest and had a great understanding of everything involved. The quote was spot on and at the lowest end of the spectrum compared to others. Never changed. The work was top-notch, done on time and Emmanuel even helped me with related concerns after his work and job were done. Great owner, great company, worth every penny. Very happy customers, thank you Emmanuel. read more

Very impressed by this company. The floor refinishing guy we had originally contracted with had to cancel last minute after we had moved almost all the furniture out of our rooms, but we were able to find EMC, who responded immediately. They gave us an estimate, showed up promptly when they said they would, completed the job in one day, and left very little if any dust.Their price was fair and reasonable. Our floor looks beautiful. Look no further if you are looking for having your hardwood floors refinished. Emmanuel and his team are HIGHLY recommended to do the job! They are perfectionists! They brought life back into my living and kitchen area floors with an oil-based finish. The work was tedious and took a lot longer than expected but they did not change anything extra. They were very flexible and worked around my schedule. Thank You, Emmanuel! read more

We worked 2 projects with EMC floor: installation of laminate on our 2nd level and hardwood refinishing on the first floor. I was really happy with the level of professionalism and attention to detail from all the guys. Emanuel was also an incredible communicator and project lead, he paid attention to the small details and we are very happy with the results. Very happy with the work and the final outcome. Price was right and Emanuel did great. Highly recommend.

Emanuel and his crew did a fantastic job refinishing my hardwood floors. They showed up on time, completed the job in the time that was quoted, and were very easy to work with. Most importantly, the new floors look great. read more

Buyer Beware... Quoted price estimate before coming to look at work. During visit to inspect work, Emanuel shares a very practiced "this is prefinished flooring, so your price to refinish is going way up" speech. Price increases 30%ish. I contact another contractor who ends up lower than the original quote Emanuel provided and he casually mentioned that my flooring was prefinished during visit. The work is now complete, for less than Emc Floors original quote. If they try to bump you like they did me, I recommend speaking with some other contractors. Look up Zudor Flooring, they did a great job! read more

So very happy with the work, professionalism and responsiveness. ECM replaced carpet with hardwood in our Living Room, Dining Room and 1st floor Office. They weaved into our existing Hardword floor and matched the stain of the existing floor and refinished the existing hardwood. Emanuel was quick to answer any question I had and was a great EDUCATOR as I didn't know the difference, nor the pros and cons, of Water Based versus Oil Base. Emanuel's crew arrived on time and finished the job on time. I would highly recommend ECM. read more

We hired Emmanuel and his crew to finish our basement stairs. When Emmanuel came to take a look at the stairs and give us a quote, he was on time and helped us by giving his professional opinion about what options we had and also how those options fit in with the style of our home. I appreciated that kind of feedback because it was reassuring and kept me from second-guessing our decisions. The quote was reasonable, and he had a great turn around time--he could schedule us a few weeks out and would complete the work in about 2 days. He was true to his word--his crew came out and completed everything in two full days. The quality of work is excellent--we LOVE our hardwood stairs. They look perfect--all measured, cut, and laid exactly as they should, beveled on the ends, no imperfections. Emmanuel also helped us pick out a stain on the wood, and we're in love with it! It matches so well with the floors we already have in the basement, with the color on our walls, and even with our upstairs flooring. It's all a great transition and truly belongs in our home. We're so pleased, and we would absolutely recommend and use EMC Floors again. Thanks, guys! read more

Emanuel was recommended by my future daughter-in-law and I am extremely indebted to her. Emanuel spelled out exactly what he would do and how long it would take. He did three rooms at a time and included the moving of the furniture out of the rooms and, then, back into the rooms when the floors were completely dry. His crew was extremely neat and careful of my furniture and the walls and doors that they moved the furniture through. People, who have seen the floors, thought that I had put new floors in, rather than having the existing floor refinished. The end result is nothing short of spectacular. read more

We recently moved to St. Charles and wanted to update the floors of our new place. We found EMC floors on Yelp and Emanuel had some good review. After contacting the company, Emanuel responded very quickly with a date for a home visit to see the current floor and take measurements. He provided a fair price for the work, and we set a date for the job to start. Based on the type of floor we wanted he suggested we purchase the wood ourselves. After finding the large amount of flooring inventory in stock at a local store we purchased the materials. Emanual provided details on how to store the flooring prior to the job so that the wood was acclimated to the home and was prepared for install, something I didn't even know was necessary. Everything went very smoothly. His crew was very professional, helped us move some larger furniture around the house to make space for the demo and installation, and always cleaned up after the day was done. They finished the job on time, on budget, and it looks beautiful. Exactly what we wanted. Emanual was very responsive to all our questions before, during, and after the project. He even provided suggestions on how to maintain the hardwood. EMC has earned my business for life. Emanuel was also just a very nice guy, a family man, and we always felt comfortable with him and the crew in the house. read more

I had Emanuel sand and refinish my floors in nice dark color throughout my whole 1st floor of a ~100 yr old condo unit in the city. He was also able to restore the old maple floors underneath the kitchen tile that had been covered up for decades probably. He did a very good job and he really takes care to do things right. He moved all of the furniture around, made sure everything was cleaned up each day and took care of the details. I think that he is an Artisan on top of being able to do the job, he liked making our floors look great and brought back to life. And he was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him. read more

Emmanuel knows very well how to get you the best floor and his professionalism will enchant you. Emmanuel and his team did partially new floor in my house in 20111 and I hired him again to extend a closet involving moving doors and adding oark floor. The jobs were done until right. Emmanuel put his heart to work and relentlessly until it matched prefectly. I have to say I was very pleased with the results and can only refer him as the best carpenter ever! read more

We just got our floors done by EMC floors and could not be happier with the result and the entire process. Detail-oriented and great customer service. We had them refinish existing hardwood floors and replace ceramic tile in the kitchen with new hardwood. Another contractor came out and told us it wasn't possible to redo the kitchen floors because the ceramic tile went under the cabinets and he would have to remove the cabinets and countertops (which would likely damage them so we might as well get a whole new kitchen). EMC did the job without removing the cabinets and it looks the the wood floor goes under the cabinets!! They did the job while were out of town. Moved all our furniture upstairs and then back in its place after the job was done. I wish all contractors were this good! read more

Not only is Emanuel a great person to know, he does the work with the highest level of professionalism one could ask for. It's actually more than just hard work when it comes to working with Emanuel, it's talent. I'm actually not exaggerating. The work was done quickly as well. High Quality - Fair Price - Very Trustworthy Emanuel and his team deliver a great product for a very fair price. We got several bids, with references, prior to installing new wood floors throughout our house. EMC delivered the best value and customer service by far. When requesting bids and general information about flooring options, Emanuel is responsive and timely. He was very patient, answering all of our questions about how to best blend old and new wood and what the proper care for the flooring would be post-install. Emanuel is very detail oriented, and ensured our new wood flooring was properly acclimated to our home prior to installation. He knows his business and takes a lot of pride in what he does. When it was time for installation, Emanuel brought his team of skilled tradesmen. They worked hard, literally night and day, to get the job done quickly. From the install through the staining process, we were impressed with the level of care the EMC Floors team gave to our project. Their craftsmanship was superb and Emanuel insists on high quality materials. We are thrilled with our new floors!! We highly recommend EMC Floors to our family and friends. When I hired Emanuel to refinish my floors he said that offered a 5yr warranty on his workmanship. He said the warranty included imperfections he made and complete buffing should any small scratches occur to get my business. Now, he refuses to honor this warranty. I would not recommend anyone hire him and to me this business practice is unacceptable. Work ethic becomes an issue when hiring a flooring guy. Buyer beware. read more
