From carpet removal to cleaning up the project, the whole process took 8 hours with one man. Greg did a great job and the flooring looks beautiful with and without natural lighting. America's Flooring Store came up in our search so we had nothing to lose coming here. First, it is 1000% worth the drive out here. They have so many beautiful selections to choose from. After we shared our style with Lisa, she immediately pulled a few options. I'm not over exaggerating when I say they were all perfect. Both my husband and I leaned towards the same one as our favorite! Lisa really listened which I feel is so rare these days, and made the ordering process a breeze. Our tiles came in quickly in about a week. One of the tile sadly was cracked right down the middle which happens. Nobody can control what happens in shipping, and Lisa immediately took care of this and got replacements! We will never go anywhere else for flooring and will refer all our friends and family here. We signed a contract with Encore Concrete Coatings for a single-color Stargazer flake coating with…read morea lifetime warranty on May 22, 2023. When the install took place in SEP 2023, it was almost immediately defective. Additionally, Encore used 2 different colors instead of the contracted single color, & visible flaws appeared across the deck within days. Within months, the coating began chipping and failing, the very problem we had specifically raised and Encore had dismissed. Over the next 19 months (SEP 23-MAY 25), we contacted Encore at least 14 documented times to report issues, share photos, and request repairs. Encore's own reps inspected the site & acknowledged the work was below their standards. Yet the company repeatedly delayed action, offered inadequate fixes, & shifted explanations--from initially admitting a surface-preparation failure to later, more than a year after our first complaint, blaming "moisture" & claiming a "moisture barrier" was needed. Moreover, on SEP 2, 2025 after being served in Iowa Small Claims Court, the Encore COO stated, "I have been doing this a long time & I can easily tell from these photos this is a prep issue, not moisture". Until our Better Business Bureau filing, every contact & inspection had characterized the issue as a workmanship or prep failure, never a moisture problem. Assessment: this company uses the "moisture barrier" clause in their contract as a catch all to come and redo work at an additional charge to the customer. Over the course of 2 years, we made more than a dozen documented attempts to secure proper completion through direct outreach, the Better Business Bureau, & the Illinois Attorney General (Encore failed to respond after 2 inquiries), before finally filing in Iowa Small Claims Court. On OCT 9, 2025, Encore Concrete Coatings was found in civil court as negligent in installing the pool deck floor coating. Iowa case number is SCSC751203 and can be looked up on Iowa Courts Online.

Bruce was very quick and responsive to coming out to review the job and provide a quote, and he and his crew were equally responsive to squeezing the work into their schedules. It took his crew of two just a little more than a single day to sand, stain, and apply two seal/finish coats to the hardwood floors in our three bedrooms. This is the third consecutive home that we have had the floors refinished, and without a doubt these are the best looking floors we have ever had. The finished floors look absolutely beautiful -- we will take and attach a photo later so you can see for yourselves.

He was very helpful in making suggestions and he brought more samples when he came to measure. We went with one of his color recommendations and helped us pick the right wood/carpet setup for the stairs. Quite the fastidious person - he explained to us the difference in the direction of the carpet grain and the potential that 12' and 15' rolls of the same carpet might have very slight variances. And I enjoyed watching his method for moving furniture - he's got to be pretty good at Tetris (although he said Dr. Mario was his specialty on NES) Paul's quote was less than other local sources with the same carpet and upgraded padding. Installation was on-time, clean, and looks perfect. No damage to furniture or walls. He's really a hard-working guy and we'll be back when it's time to do the second floor. Thanks Paul, Danny, Esteban and Dennis (didn't catch the other dude's name). We could not be happier.

We made our decision and Roger and his assistant came out the next day to measure and give us a bid. We ordered the tile and set up an install date. The installers were prompt, polite, and very efficient. The following day, they returned to do the grouting. Again, he was great, cleaned up and was finished right on time. We are very pleased with their professionalism and our backsplash looks awesome. We highly reccommend Anderson Tile and Flooring and will definitely use them on any future projects.

Our last overall experience with Anderson Tile wasn't good. Quoting was confusing and not…read moreaccurate. Items like tile color and line items were not quoted correctly and had to be redone. While the employees were friendly, communication was poor. We stopped receiving responses from Anderson Tile and found out that this was because the employee we were dealing with left the company. Scheduling wasn't good. The Anderson Tile team did not follow through with the dates that were originally provided to us. Overall installation was fair. There are small areas where caulk is missing around the limestone installed. Some tiles were damaged or defective after install. We were ok with filling those damaged tiles in with mortar but this lessen our opinion of the overall job. Care for our home was poor. The floor area around the fireplace was not covered properly with the end result being minor scarfs and scratches on our wood floor. The leftover mortar used on the fireplace was dumped on the sidewalk leaving it stained. Anderson Tile did come out to clean up the sidewalk but the owner never responded to our concerns about our wood floor. Unfortunately I do not see us using Anderson Tile again after this experience.
