Beyond Awful Not even sure where to begin. We purchased materials and Marcelus from Beyond Floors came to provide the estimate. I guess I should have been wary when he was in and out in (literally) less than five minutes. The installers came, as planned and noted that, because of something that was missed on the estimate (a pocket door), we'd have to pay an additional $350! Just FYI, I did not have the pocket door installed between the time of the estimate and the date of the planned installation. So yeah - it was definitely missed. Not just my words, but we spoke directly to the estimator, Marcelus, who said (repeatedly) "Yes, I missed the door" and "This was my mistake." But he refused to absorb any of the cost. While we felt it was still unfair, we wanted the floor installed so we offered to split the difference. And in the same breath as he indicated it was his mistake, he still felt it was our responsibility to pay for it in its entirety. In a nutshell: "Yes, I messed up, but you will have to pay for my mistake." In addition, while on the phone with us, they must have instructed the installation team to quietly pack up and leave, which is what they did!!!! I couldn't believe it - we went out to speak with them and they were gone - had undone what they had started and quietly slunk away without a word to us. (Note: We do not feel the installation team was at fault here - just the owner/estimator). I cannot think of a more underhanded and unethical way of conducting business. It would be so nice if the business owner would simply take responsibility for their error and behave in an honest and reasonable manner. Please use caution if you are considering using this company. Awful customer service which is unfortunate because the team who installed our tile were efficient, friendly, and did good work. We had a 9am appointment which we moved our meeting schedule around to accommodate. When nobody arrived, we called their office four times, no answer. We had a contact who was barely responsive, but finally texted us at 10:10am that the team would arrive at 10:30am. We went with them because of their reasonable quote, but it's clear why the price is lower. I advise going elsewhere even if the cost is a little more. You get what you pay for. Also - their online tool wasn't accurate for us. We used it, they had us PAY A DEPOSIT, then when they came over, they said we shouldn't have paid until someone came over... read more

Update: in response to the owner's review below, there are two photos that are shown mid-project to reflect (1) the grout that is smeared all over the trim and (2) the damage they did to my wall and cabinet (which also has a post project photo). The rest of the photos clearly show the quarter rounds installed (poorly) which was after the project was finished. Because I was selling my house, and told you guys this, I personally had to go to Home Depot to purchase supplies to fix these errors and do them myself to show the house. I also indicated to you that I was traveling, which is why I was upset when you kept pushing the project back, and I was not able to reach out to you for "2 months" which is also not true. You did these floors late December, and I reached out in late January once I got home from the UK. When I did reach out to you with photos on Jan. 25, you ignored me. Then I reached out again on Jan. 27, about the poorly done floors, you said you'd put me on the schedule to come fix it. I didn't hear anything from you guys until Feb. 14 AFTER I posted this review. If you'd like, I'm happy to post a screenshot of the text conversation to confirm this. So stop trying to save face like you didn't cause this huge mess and are being unfairly targeted. Do better. Stay away! Working with this company was more than a headache, and a complete waste of money. I had this company come in to redo my tile floors in the kitchen because all the grout was cracked and chipping. First red flag was them not showing up at the scheduled time. Then during demo, they didn't cover up any furniture or surfaces which left dust everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. They made holes in the walls and damaged my kitchen cabinets. They decided to walk through the living room instead of the garage (which was closer) to remove the tile and cement boards. They made a huge pile of garbage up against the side of my house which broke my siding and left a dusty mess. They left it there for several days before I insisted they clean it up before we were expecting 60 MPH winds. They left cigarette butts all over my drive way and only took large pieces of the trash away and never cleaned up the dust. They laid the new tile, but didn't lay all of it the same day. When they came back to finish the tile, they also grouted it on the same day and moved appliances back way too quickly. They did not seal the grout either. You'd think it couldn't get worse, but it does. They didn't even finish the floors. Apparently sealing the gaps between the floor and the trim is the "painters job" and installing quarter rounds with nails not hammered in or edged correctly is acceptable to these people. FINALLY, the grout on the floor is already cracking and deteriorating and it's been less than two months since they installed the floors. They charged me about $2,500 for a 220 sq ft kitchen and it's just as messed up now as it was before I hired them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE. You'll end up chasing them to get the work done, cleaning up after them, and fixing their mistakes. When I pay for work to be done, I expect the entire project to be completed. This company left me cleaning up trash, scrubbing my driveway in winter, vacuuming dust off every downstairs surface, hammering in quarter round nails, sealing the gaps between the floor and trim, sanding down grout stuck on my walls and trim, painting the quarter rounds, patching my cabinets, and now I'm going to have to pay a real professional to come out and fix the cracking grout. read more

Beware!!! They are a fraud and not a legitimate company. I wanted to install vinyl floors originally but since my kitchen area is slightly uneven we decided to do laminate flooring. They came in 4 guys. I went home and 10 minutes after I received a phone call from them saying that in order to do laminate they need to charge more. This was shocking to me because according to 4 other quotes I had installing vinyl flooring and laminate as long its click technology and not nail in it should be the same price. After some negotiation, I decided to give them the job and I agreed to the new price. Right after 15 minutes, I get a phone call again saying: we can't do the job come pick up the keys. The weirdest thing I ever experienced in my life. Be careful with them, since day one something was fishy about them. read more

My flooring looks great we were happy with how the floor end up turning out besides the fact that I was supposed to get a phone call 30 minutes before they showed up never got a phone call I kept asking them to not leave the door open because my animals would get out I had to keep coming behind them and shutting the door so that way I wouldn't lose my cats also when they took their break they decided to leave cigarette butts all over my driveway was not happy about that they wanted to charge me $365 to take off the three-quarter inch round around the flooring before they can even put in the floor and I said no because that price is for repair move and install And I was not paying that price believe me I think it should've been totaled into the price of putting in the flooring so now I have no three-quarter inch round they did not bring the shoe molding to do the shoe molding from the landing onto the stairs I've been waiting for that now I'm being told that will be done this Saturday when my flooring What is done over a week ago also forgot to mention that one of the installers hit my TV with flooring that they were bringing in would not recommend this flooring company to anyone the woman who works in the office was great I believe her name was Erica she was nice she was sweet but things could've been done differently pricing could've included everything when it comes to the flooring the three-quarter inch round in the install not another $500 on top of it read more
