I highly recommend Cabinet Refacing Chicago! We hired Moises and his team to completely renovate our kitchen. They refaced/painted our cabinets, extended our island and added custom woodwork, replaced our countertops/sink/electric, etc. Our kitchen was completely transformed, and it was done in EIGHT DAYS. EIGHT! I have friends who did similar work at a similar price and waited months for an inferior product. I couldn't believe how efficient and professional the team was. Each day the team clearly communicated what time they would be arriving and what they planning to accomplish. One of their sons who spoke perfect English was always present, so there was never any confusion or miscommunication. I could go on and on, but I think it's easiest just to say HIRE THEM! I found them on Yelp and was skeptical simply because I didn't personally know anyone who had used them. Don't hesitate! One piece of advice is to triple-confirm you are in alignment on design/price/etc. This was my first remodel project and there were a few oversights on my part. Overall, A+++ read more

Couldn't be more pleased with the Cabinet Refacing Chicago team!!!! Excellent family owned business and the pride of ownership shows in their work. They did a combo reface and new cabinets but also took on a whole remodel including adding a partial partition, plumbing, electrical and lighting. They really showed up for us and I highly recommend them. read more

Moises, Patricia, and Chris were great to work with, and their crew were thoughtful and professional from start to finish. They surgically removed our existing cabinets while leaving our elaborate stone countertop and vintage slate tile flooring intact--a most impressive feat, INDEED! We highly recommend these guys and plan on using them again for our next remodeling project. John Gleichman, AIA - Chicago read more

This review has been long overdue. My wife and I downsized and moved from a house in Arlington Heights to a Condo on Lake Shore Drive. We did almost a complete remodel. Cabinet Refacing Chicago did an outstanding job. Christian helped us with new cabinets and some refacing to save money. He was great, honest and knowledgeable. Patricia helped us pick out our stone and drove with us to 5-7 different stone shops until we found the right one. I have heard so many horrible contractor stories but we are not one of them. We were so fortunate to have been introduced to Refacing Cabinet Chicago, Christian and Patricia. We couldn't be more grateful and happy for the job they completed for us. Scope included replacing shaker doors with slab fronts, veneering the bases, a new panel on the peninsula, trim up top, and replacing the cabinet above the refrigerator to cinch up an awkward gap. They did a great job prepping the site, the work was finished quickly (three days), and the quality is outstanding. Pricing was reasonable. Thrilled with the work! read more

Moises and Patricia are an excellent team of professionalism, craftsmanship and outstanding customer service! Our kitchen remodeling job turned out beautifully and within budget! No add ons happened without prior approval. We are so pleased with the new look and will recommend this company to our friends and family. We will also use them for future projects in our Oak Park home! read more

This crew did a fantastic job with refacing our cabinets and building pull-outs in two lower cabinets. They were able to make a perfect match of the staing for the new doors with the existing cabinet bodies. The new doors they built are beautiful, with a simple inset just as we requested. The pull-outs are expertly crafted and work perfectly. This was a great way to freshen up our kitchen without a full-on remodel. The workers, Chris and Fidel, were polite, on time, and easy to work with. It's also a good feeling to hire a family business. Overall, I highly recommend Cabinet Refacing Chicago. read more

WOW- Moises, his family and team are seriously the BEST! Don't hesitate to work with them for all your cabinet and remodeling needs. My kitchen looks so amazing thanks to them and they were such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I've done a few projects and worked with various Chicago remodeling teams, and they've been hands down my favorite. They were timely, finishing the project within 3-4 days, we'll within the estimate they gave. They were clean and respectfull, keeping our condo tidy and work zone organized. They have incredible attention to detail, and the little things they added in my kitchen (better lighting, storage organization, soft close drawers, etc, etc, etc) make me so happy everyday. And they were super nice and patient with the process, and helped me during my indecisiveness. To top it all off, my cabinets look phenom. Thanks for everything team! read more

I used Cabinet Refacing Chicago to refresh the kitchen in my 16 year old condo. I dealt mainly with the owner Moises, who provided the estimates, and his wife Patricia who handled scheduling and material selection, as well as their son Christian who led the project work on site. I'm very pleased with the results; my kitchen leapt from early-2000s builder grade to an upgraded, on-trend, yet still classic look (before/after pics attached). The paint finish on the cabinets is impeccable, and they used soft close hinges and drawer slides throughout. I also had new countertops, sink/faucet, and backsplash installed. The work took place over two weeks, with about 6 or 7 days of actual on-site time (there was a holiday and a weekend within that time span). The crew did a good job of cleaning up after themselves each day, and took measures to minimize dust/dirt settling outside the project area (although it was impossible to avoid it completely). The only major downsides for me centered around some communication issues during the estimating and scheduling stages of the project. Emails sometimes went unanswered for several days. They were more responsive to phone calls, however. There was also some miscommunication around the cabinet hardware; when I visited the shop I was shown some drawer pull samples and requested a price quote on a particular style, only to be told later that they only offered one style of pull. I ended up purchasing the cabinet hardware elsewhere. To be fair, these issues are understandable to some extent given that it's a small, locally-owned shop with limited resources. (If I could, I would knock off just 1/2 star for these inconveniences instead of a whole star.) Overall it was a pleasure working with Moises and Patricia and their team, and I am considering using their services again to redo my bathrooms down the road. read more

Family owned and operated. The workmanship is high quality!

Everyone we worked with from Cabinet Refacing Chicago was great! We worked with them to update our kitchen cabinets from the 70s and were amazed with the results. It's obvious that the company cares a lot about the details and makes sure everything is perfect. Christian was the lead of the work done in our home and he and his team listened to all our questions and got everything we asked for done. We originally hired them for cabinet refacing and countertop but were so impressed we decided to have them do our tile too and were glad we made that choice. Everything was far better than we expected given the age of our kitchen. I highly recommend Cabinet Refacing Chicago for a kitchen cabinet update or full remodel! read more

I refaced my bathroom vanity recently and am so happy with how it turned out! It's absolutely beautiful. I had talked with the team several times before beginning my project and they were super accommodating with my schedule and needs. On the day of installation, the team showed up on time, were respectful of my building/unit and cleaned up before leaving. I'm excited to start my kitchen reno in the next few months with these guys! read more

I had an excellent experience working with Moises and Patricia. We had our kitchen and floors overhauled - current cabinet bases painted, all new cabinet doors & drawers fabricated in a new style with color to match, new countertops, and hardwood floor refinishing throughout the house. The cabinets and countertops are gorgeous - exactly the look we were going for in our minds, and the floor looks spectacular. The work was finished quickly and on-time. The guys were very good about covering things and cleaning up each day. We could not be happier! So much so, we sent our kitchen table off for refinishing this week. I also have to give super credit to Patricia...and all the guys for being able to put up with me. They all were very patient and accommodating - I know I can be a lot. Highly recommend. read more

Moises has done work for us in two homes. The quality of the work is excellent. We would not go to anyone else but Moises for any work in our home. The work as always is beautiful. They are a small family owned business and extremely professional. read more

Cabinet Refacing Chicago-- Moises, Patricia, and their whole crew are absolutely terrific. Moises assessed our kitchen and came up with some creative options and worked well with our interior Designer, Veronica Martens. We are SO happy with our modern kitchen. The workmanship is top quality, and the crew is so pleasant, friendly and accommodating. In addition to a new quartz countertop, new lighting fixtures were installed and some custom cabinetry was added. We are now planning on our bathroom remodel. We highly recommend Cabinet Refacing Chicago. We wanted a kitchen "refresh" of our 40 year old kitchen at a reasonable and fair price. The owner Moises and his son Chris were extremely knowledgable and helpful in offering suggestions on ways to update our kitchen in practical and cost effective ways . We felt they listened to our desires/objectives and found creative ways to give us even better results than we could envision. Cabinet Refacing Chicago used many of our existing cabinet boxes but replaced the fronts with new doors, custom-made some cabinets to add more practicality and function, and installed new flooring, new lighting, and new countertops. Chris as project manager, and every single subcontractor, was reliable, excellent tradesmen, and provided superb customer service. Most issues that arose were quickly remedied to our complete satisfaction, and all others where perhaps we weren't initially completely satisfied, were handled professionally to an agreed upon, acceptable compromise. Our "refreshed" kitchen is "night and day" from its beginnings. We are SO very happy with the results, and hope to continue using CRC for additional projects. We have already referred them to several friends who are hoping to do kitchen remodels in 2024. Thank you to Moises, Chris, and the entire crew that made us very happy customers!!!! read more

Moises and his team recently helped us with our kitchen. They were amazing!! They refaced all of our existing cabinets (a large U shaped kitchen) and built a custom island from scratch. From the planning stages they were so helpful coming up with ideas based off what I was telling them I wanted and Moises did drawings on the spot to make sure we were on the same page. His wonderful wife helped us to select stone and met us at the shop During installation the team was always right on time. They were clean. Picked up after themselves and very fast!! Most of the work took place off site but anything in house was efficient and clean. Have already recommended them to multiple friends and hope to work with them again on future projects! read more

I have used this company four times, and each time they have amazed me with the beautiful work they do. The items are removed quickly, and returned in a short period of time, following a quality and detailed restoration. Moises and Patricia have been very helpful, both in the shop and in our home, and I feel their prices are very reasonable for the work that is done. Our dining room table was badly scratched by our dog, and they refinished the top, matching the color exactly. We have had French doors, a small decorative bench and our coffee table refinished, and having worked with other furniture restorers, I truly feel they are the best in the business. I only wonder why I waited so long to have this furniture restored! read more

These guys are amazing to work with, family owned business where you get that honest and personal touch you don't get at most places.

I first want to say I have been using cabinet refacing for just over a year now and they are just great people to work with. I would have to tell you the work they do is just as good as how they treat you when you walk in their shop! I will never go any other place to get wood work done for my business they even I accommodate me and make house calls before I'm open for business they are just good people. read more

I had an appointment for Moises to come to my house today to give an estimate at 1:00pm. He failed to show up. I had to leave at 1:45 pm to pick my child up and he had not called or emailed or arrived. If he cannot even show up to give an estimate or even bother to take the time to let me know he is not coming or is going to be late I cannot see myself hiring him. Others may have had a different experience but just wanted others to know my experience before they waste their time like I did today. This is obviously not the first time this has happened reading other reviews. read more

What a fantasic experience! We hired Alex to build a custom loft in one of our bedrooms, and he did a miraculous job, within a very short timeframe. I have done business with this company and they are A-OK on the work that they do. I would recommend that you spend time picking out the exact color you want your cabinets to be beforehand. Get a sample wood stain and have them follow it. This company is highly experienced with wood refinishing and refacing cabinets and furniture. They built custom furniture for me and they have refinished some older wood furniture of mine. I found them one day when walking down the street in my neighborhood and they seemed friendly enough and showed me their shop. I started with one old wooden chair that I acquired from a family hand me down and they did a nice job revitalizing it. Then I had them build me a media cabinet to store my collection of DVDs and CDs and then they built for me a custom coffee table with Frank Lloyd Wright styled stained glass and the result is pretty darn neat! Growing up in Oak Park, Illinois it was nice to incorporate my own homage to Frank Lloyd Wright and make a coffee table with some of his styling incorporated into it. Next, I had them build for me a custom desk which is perfect for a man of my size (I am 6'4). And the last thing I had them do for me was to refinish an old Ikea bookshelf and a really old wooden shelf which I think was homemade by someone some time ago (another family hand me down furniture item). On these jobs they did excellent work too - especially considering that the wood I had them refinish was pine. (Pine wood is really a bad choice for staining as the result is normally yellowish when a lighter color is applied.) Ivan took a lot of time to get the darker wood stain color I wanted which colored over the yellowish pine wood and the result is better than I could have hoped for. read more

I actually chose to work with Moises, Patricia and their crew based on reviews I had read here on Yelp. So thank you to those that gave such great input. You were right on! My husband and I wanted to reface our kitchen cabinets and I had a very specific design in mind. I am always a bit cautious about working with contractors base on some of the horror stories you hear. But I could tell when I met with Moises, I liked him immediately. Mainly because we not only discussed my ideas for the kitchen, but we talked more about our families and the love of our work. And Moises and his crew are very passionate about their work. So, I'll get to the point. First, this was a much bigger project than I had originally anticipated. There were major power tools set up in my home and a lot of sawing and spray painting going on. I know what you thinking...what a mess. But on the contrary, each night before the guys left, the house was cleaned up and outside of some major dust (which is to be expected), you would never have know they were there. The guys had all been with Moises for 10+ years and were more than exceptional at what they did. Sweet as pie too. We insisted on buying them lunch on the last day as they had worked so hard. Secondly, Moises was not only able to make my vision for the kitchen come alive, but he contributed to the vision and made the overall flow of the kitchen much more pleasing. We discussed everything in detail during the planning stages and Moises was really flexible when it came to making any changes that I wanted. Finally, the cost, or should I say, the investment. Well, basically what I received was beautiful impeccably made custom cabinet doors, crown molding, facings on the side of the cabinets, a custom wine rack and glass cabinet facings on a few of the cabinet fronts. It is a shame that you cannot post pictures on Yelp because a picture in this instance is worth a thousand words. But check out their web site because I know they will have pictures of my project there. Overall the price I paid was reasonable and worth every penny. I would highly recommend Moises and Patricia, not just for a refacing project, but for any project that involves woodworking in some fashion. We will be doing more work with them in the years to come. read more

Refaced our old kitchen cabinets and now they look beautiful custom made!! Moises/Patricia and his crew were great to work with.
