Best value for the dollar! Peter offered a competitive and fair quote for this small kitchen remodel. And not only did he get the job done, he got it done right. He was honest throughout the entire process which goes a long way. He notified me of some errors the previous owner made and ensured they were rectified before continuing with the process. Communication throughout the process was important to me and we spoke every day he was on site. Highly recommended contractor, I have him on "speed dial" for future projects. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. read more

After 3 years we have finally come to end of our home remodel. Peter and his son completed multiple projects throughout this time. I appreciate Peters dedication, skill set and attention to detail. I recently contracted PCH Construction to do a double bathroom remodel in my 100yr old home and I couldn't be happier with the work. From the moment I contacted the company for a quote to the final delivery, the service was exemplary. Peter's level of professionalism and perfectionism is unmatched and his work is just as great. The project itself had a lot of complexity due to the age of the house and the (sub-par) repairs from the previous owners but Peter and his crew came up with great solutions to each of the obstacles. Another unique thing about this project is that this team was able to transform a small pantry and water closet into a full bathroom. I don't think anyone would have been able to do such a job other than PCH. If you are on the market for great service and quality work, PCH Construction is the right choice. read more

Peter did a great job for us. We were updating the shared back stairwell in our condo building, and wanted Peter to come in and replace the treads, install new base boards, repaint., and do some general repairs. As he dug into the job, he discovered that the stairs were built so that each tread was sandwiched between the studs in the wall, and ripping them out would be a much bigger job than he had originally scoped for. Peter adjusted the quote, and we came to an agreeable solution after just a day. Throughout the job, Peter was very responsive, usually checking in and giving us updates daily, which was helpful for a space being used by multiple residents. We are very happy with the final product, and will definitely consider PCH for future projects! read more

We began our kitchen remodel with PCH construction in October & just finished things up in early January. We live in a Chicago style bungalow & had been looking to remodel our kitchen for years. From the beginning to the very end Peter & his son David were both very professional, dependable & reasonable. They're work ethic & detail to quality was second to none. There were times that we felt that this kitchen would never get done, but Peter consistently reassured us & made the entire process as smooth as possible. It's not easy living in a home for over two months without a kitchen, but now that it is completely done we couldn't be happier with the end product. We highly recommend Peter & PCH construction for all your home remodeling needs. read more

It's the second time in 10 years that I used PCH Construction and I highly recommend their service. Peter, the owner, is meticulous, sees exactly what needs to be done, and makes excellent suggestions. They work quietly and clean after each session. The work was impeccably done and I particularly appreciated Peter's effort to save the vanity top in our bathroom. The work was finished ahead of schedule, which allowed me to go on a planned trip. read more

We hired PCH for our bathroom remodel. Our contractor Peter and all of his crew were very professional. They installed a custom shower with precision. Every "bump" we encountered, which happens with an older home, was handled quickly. Peter communicated every issue encountered and gave us many options with his very professional opinion. We were very thankful for Peter's recommendations for brands and supply companies. PCH does not cut corners, all the work done was up to code at a very reasonable cost. Peter and his crew took the extra steps to ensure a custom and well-built shower. They were respectful of our house and cleaned and covered up everyday. I highly recommend PCH for any remodel job. We enjoyed their work so much we hired PCH to build a laundry room/closet. Hire PCH, you will not find better work in the area. read more

I asked Peter to paint my kitchen, knowing that it wasn't a huge job, but he still gave me a fair quote. I hired him after seeing reviews, and I'm glad I did. While we found that the walls were in really bad shape, Peter took the time to talk through the options. Once done, the kitchen looks great! I will definitely be using Peter's company again! read more

I live in an upscale building in Downtown Evanston and Peter had re-done at least three unit's in our building in the 8 years I've lived here (everyone was thrilled with their results, by the way!). I had never hired a contractor before and needed to update my master bathroom so needless to say it was an overwhelming experience having to shop around for a contractor, choose a design that would not only be something I like but that would add to my condo's value, and be something that was affordable. Peter (the owner of PCH Construction) was terrific!!! First off, his pricing was the lowest of the three estimates but more importantly, Peter's 20 years plus of contracting experience proved invaluable. Peter helped advise me every step of the way and even allows his clients to take advantage of the contractor discounts from suppliers. Peter always answers his calls promptly and worked with me to accomplish everything I was trying to do with this space. The job was scheduled to take 4-5 weeks and he finished in exactly 4 weeks as promised! His workmen are long-time employees and TOTAL PRO's as their work and also work with only top vendors for things like the stone fabrication (cutting and installing the vanity top and shower stall threshold), Glass, and vanity cabinet)!!! Everything from the tile to the cabinetry, glass and stone vanity counter top was expertly done. Also, Peter and his staff keep things as clean and quiet as possible during the job, so no worries there either. You will be so glad you went with PCH!!! I could not be happier with the results!!! read more

Peter, the owner of PCH Construction came highly recommended to me and he did not disappoint! Our family has had one nagging issue in our home; water damage to a tray ceiling in our family room, coming somewhere from a flat roof above. After 2 other pricey repairs, and practically yearly paint jobs of walls and ceilings, we didn't know where to turn. Thank goodness we found our way to Peter and PCH Construction. Peter cared enough to solve the problem, not just put a slap-dash fix on it and take our money. Peter respected our frustrations and worked to resolve problems as if they were his own. Once he crafted a solution, he was on top of everything-absolutely no surprises! Peter and his wonderful son David worked hard for us and our family room water troubles are over! It rains now and we have no worries. Peter, and PCH Construction, are absolutely 5 stars. read more

This past summer PCH construction worked on our kitchen remodel. Peter (the owner) and his son did much of the work themselves. From the first time we met Peter, in May, he was very professional and gave us great advice when discussing the plan for our new kitchen. He took his time to answer all of our questions and gave us suggestions on which retailers to use for cabinets and other materials. He was very prompt in answering any email or phone call. He was always available when we needed to contact him. During the project Peter was very meticulous and made sure to ask us before major items were complete. When we needed items such as a sink or cabinet pulls, Peter gave us excellent recommendations for which companies to use that would have the best price. He made sure that the kitchen was up to his high standard as well as ours. When we where not sure about a design decision Peter offered us his advice or another option. When the project was complete there were a few minor things we wanted changed or fixed and Peter did not hesitate to make the adjustments. He truly wants the customer to be happy and satisfied. We could not be happier with our new kitchen. PCH construction did an excellent job and we plan on hiring them again for our next project. read more

I had a kitchen faucet leak in my rental unit. They picked up the phone immediately and scheduled a crew. The crew arrived on time with parts and equipment. It took them 1.5 hour to unclog the toilet and exchange the kitchen faucet. The crew was professional and polite. Price included all parts and material. Top notch service - recommend without hesitation! read more

Knowing that many contractors don't want to take on small "nuisance jobs," I was prepared to be ignored or wait weeks for service. Good fortune directed me to Pete, of PCH Company. Within a week, on a Saturday between big jobs, he made a point of coming, along side his capable carpenter, to see to it that my new baseboard was installed. Not only is he always pleasant and professional, neat and on time, but I also think he is the best contractor in the Chicago area. I am so thankful he was willing to do a small job, on short notice, and I highly recommend PCH to everyone. I look forward to bigger projects in the hands of this outstanding company. read more

Our experience with PCH was fantastic. They were reliable, fair, competent, and professional. We had a window and door installed to convert an enclosed porch into a small bedroom. Our home is 100 years old and has settled quite a bit. Peter gave us options for what would work best and made the space look great. Not only were there no surprises on cost, but he also finished much faster than he originally thought. We had a great experience and would recommend PCH to anyone. read more
