I sent him pictures of the jobs we wanted him to do, which he acknowledged, saying that it looked like a full day's worth of work. I reminded him the afternoon before, as requested, and he then told me he had another job in the morning. He then texted me the morning of and asked if he could bring a helper, doubling the hourly rate but getting more done more quickly. I approved (stupidly). He then showed up and asked me if they were going to be working inside or outside (all of the jobs I had texted him about and sent pictures for were obviously inside). I walked him through it, and he told me he could do all of the work. Fast forward to when the work was completed (poorly). My wife called him to complain about the way his guys left things, and he started trying to pit my wife and I against each other. He changed his story several times--despite the fact that most of our communication was via text, so I had records of it--and tried to paint me as the bad guy to my wife. To his credit, he wound up coming out to try to fix some of the problems himself. However, he wasn't able to fix much of it the day he came, and he offered to get us a discounted quote on fixing the rest of it. We declined. He explained on this last day (after the fact) that it is difficult to exactly match paint colors (for covering patches he did on the walls) and that he wasn't able to tack down the area of carpet we had asked him to on the first day because he isn't a carpet-layer. Had he explained these two things upfront--and had he not engaged in all of the emotionally manipulative b.s.--this review may have been different. As it is, I wouldn't recommend hiring him for any more-involved work. If you need a cabinet fixed or bathroom hardware mounted, he's probably a fine candidate. For anything more complicated, my experience leads me to recommend going in a different direction. Photos are of "completed" work.

We had some surprises along the way like finding some piping in the wall we opened up but Joe and Rene were able to reroute everything just fine. We also ordered a new window for the bathroom that we had to wait on and our window contractor kept delaying the install so Joe and Rene offered to pick up the window and install it for us. Really saved us a lot of time and hassle! Overall such a good experience-so easy to work with and great communication throughout. We are already planning on having them do more projects for us! Submitted my online inquiry on 7/1, met with Vince on 7/3, signed the contract on 7/4, demo started on 7/8, and project completed on 7/23 (which was the day of the surgery). These guys were AMAZING! They were so understanding and respectful of our situation, while the rep from ReBath pratically laughed in my face, saying that my budget and timeline were impossible. He also went as far as saying that any contractor who says they could do the job was most likely not good. I also needed someone to procure materials and project manage as I live 2K miles away. After searching for a couple of months and being frustrated by no callbacks and outrageous quotes I contacted VRC Management and couldn't be happier that I did. Jozef and his team were extremely attentive throughout the entire process, completed the work in a very reasonable time frame, and had competitive rates. Jozef even walked me through a couple of additional items that made a huge difference in the remodel including painting the cabinets instead of replacing (I don't know how they did it but they turned out perfectly), moving a cabinet for better sight lines, making a waterfall edge to update the counter, and putting a light in the newly installed stand up shower in the bathroom. All of the work is extremely high quality including some of the best tile work I have seen (and there was a lot of it). He was able to help me with my ideas and maximize the space to its full capacity! He had ideas of where to place the island, walk in closet, tile options, built in office, accent wall ideas. Top of the line personal designer and service, he knows his stuff and is a good guy (most GC's no one ever trusts). Bill was very polite, called me over the weekend to set up the time and said he'd go to the jobsite to get his guys started and then come and meet with me. He just sent me a text message (not even dignified enough to call) at 8:30pm the night before saying "We are currently too busy to take on any new jobs until September. Call me early summer." Bill is what gives contractors a bad name. Sure he might do good work, but he does not respect people's time and schedules. A simple, "Sorry, would love to help you, but we are booked through September" would have done fine at the first call. Terrible customer service and I imagine this speaks to how you might be treated as a client if he did manage to get in your door.

I wanted a new patio installed, the landing of my back porch replaced (which had broken off and left a hole) and extended to match the patio, the corner of the foundation patched, the front sidewalk slab replaced (that had broken away from the front porch and broken in half), and a hole in my front porch sealed so that the critters would stop using it as nest. My new patio is amazing - better than I could have imagined! The holes in my porch (front and back) are now sealed, I don't have to look at the missing foundation corner, and I don't have to worry about critters any more. :) I am VERY pleased with the work! Would definitely recommend them and will be calling them for future renovations and other concrete work.
