It's been 4 years and my cabinets still look great. They have a few dents but I easily filled them in the provided wax that works kinda like a miracle. They made a few mistakes on my massive order (it was around $28k of cabinets) but they fixed them all. We contacted them within a couple years of having our cabinets because the paint was peeling near the handles in multiple areas/cabinets. The rep came out and blankly looked at the peeling paint and told us he didn't see anything. It was ridiculous and we'd never ever recommend Orchard Hill to anyone. Not only did the product not last anywhere near as long as it should have, but their rep was not honest nor helpful. read more

He was always a great resource to bounce off ideas when we were making selections and finalizing our design. I couldn't recommend them more. From an online inquiry we were assigned Claudia Garibay as our design specialist to work with and she was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of over email. It would take her weeks to get a response and require multiple follow ups on my part. I finally got so frustrated I included their general email on the chain asking to be assigned to someone who could get us a timely response only for that to go ignored as well. Our project was a set of built-ins around our fireplace and quoted around 10K so my guess is since this was a smaller project it was not a priority to follow up but in the 11/12 days it took to get a final reply from her we'd reached out to a competitor, sent measurements, got a quote, finalized a design, signed a contract, had someone formal measure and schedule our build/install day. Definitely don't recommend unless you are looking for a project to take years to get replies to move forward on! read more

Working with our sales rep was great, and the showroom had exactly what we wanted. We were building our new house, and were able to design every cabinet to our exact design and specifications. They all turned out beautifully. The only issue we had was with the guys who they hired to do the installation. We had several floating shelves that were about a 1/2-1 inch larger than they should have been. Rather than trimming the shelves down onsite, the guy cut into our drywall, forcing the shelves in. They did not repair the damage that was caused, and it ended up costing us over a thousand dollars to repair the damage that the installer caused. I would order from Builder's Cabinet again, however I would hire my own carpenters to install the cabinets. read more

Gorgeous cabinets! I chose walnut which is absolutely gorgeous and timeless. Mixed with a painted island, and my kitchen is gorgeous. High quality wood and the painted finish is strong and resilient so far. The only downside is the utensil drawer insert isn't designed for cutlery. It is more for larger kitchen tools and they don't offer another option. Mike Falbo is very knowlegeable and good at follow up if any assistance is needed after install. Quality takes time, so don't be in a hurry and get ahead of the order. read more

Just bought all new cabinets for my condo. I have a really awkward kitchen with several different design constraints. I got quotes from 4 or 5 different cabinet shops before finding builder supply from randomly googling around. I went in and met with Eric, and oh my God, do you need to work with that guy. He was super personable, really took the extra time to explain the why behind the decisions we were making and even after spending months planning my kitchen, I walked out of the shop more knowledgeable and confident in my ability as a consumer to make the decision that's best for me. The prices for the cabinets with the custom work I needed were at the very top of my budget, but even then they went above and beyond and found ways to work with me to make it feasible for me. After eric came and measured the space for some final tweaks, i ordered the cabinets. They arrived and are absolutely beautiful and high quality all around. Even when there was a slight mistake on the design, where the cabinets weren't flat bottom, Eric drove all the way to my place from the suburbs on his day off to miter the edges off and to make sure that I got what I paid for. And that's truly the mark of a good company for me. Even when there was a small mistake, they went above and beyond the call of duty to make things right and make sure I'll be happy with my cabinets for years to come. He even inspected my cabinet installers to make sure they didn't take any short cuts or mess anything up. Seriously, I can't stress enough how much you should go to Builder's for a quote, and to Eric specifically. Don't waste time at studio41, lowes, menards, home depot, whatever. Here you get to work with a local company where your cabinets get made here in Chicago and you have real local people (and not a big corporation) that care about you getting exactly what you pay for. For everyone ordering cabinets from Builders Cabinet Supply, my advice is: do not ordher anything "open". Open shelves , open cabinets and such - anything without doors. While their doors are nice, the construction of the cabinets is not so great (see the pic). That is why you would probably not want to expose anything that they constructed and rather put it behind the doors. The interior veneer (or laminate?) does not look great and look really cheap. Next, do not order light raills and crown molding from them if you order cabinets in some natural wood color. Their light rails and crown moldings came in some really cheap straight rails, made of plywood, which our own installer cut and put together. They call themselves a kitchen "design" place... I wish they at least told me what those pieces were going to look like. I very stupidly assumed that it would be all real "cherry wood" for $500+..I wish I ordered rails and moldings made of real natural cherry from a wood suplier. . Ok, may be one good thing I should mention: they do give you a lot of extra of that laminated "wood" . We have a ton of it stored in our garage. Not sure what to do with it. read more

I would STRONGLY think twice before working with this company! I spent thousands of dollars last year on custom glass front kitchen cabinets for my new condo, and they were delivered without glass! After they took my money, I was told that they, "don't provide glass with their glass front cabinets." This was never once discussed with me during the ordering process, but they did reference "glass doors" in the quote that was provided to me. There was no customer service, no apologies, only complete indifference. I believe this is a dishonest company, and would NEVER utilize them again. read more

I am really happy with the quality of the kitchen cabinets and the design process. I gutted a very small and odd-shaped enclosed kitchen and opened up the floorplan to add a breakfast bar. Mike Falbo helped me with great design ideas and helped me with my vision to make space more usable on both sides of the wall (it was an odd 90-degree triangle shape). The space was very small and we were able to fit in all the drawer sizes I needed. Brian Benner was super helpful with ideas to finish off a few spots around the kitchen appliances that were needed and help me with any questions I had. Everything turned out perfect! Run don't walk from this place. This is a bait and switch. You walk in and they talk a good game and have lots of nice displays. We sent them a design we had done as builders and we got a bad black and white drawing and a single lump sum price with no detail. When we ask for detail and better drawing we are told no detail on pricing is given and drawing were $400. This is a RIP OFF. I've ordered many items from Paul Herrold at Builder's Cabinet Supply over the years from cabinets, panels and even appliances. Paul has always come through with great customer service and prices. I had one issue with the color on a panel being a little off (no fault of theirs, they were matching my older cabinets from my builder) and they reordered the panel right away! All in all, you won't find a better designer than Paul or a better group of people to work with, and their factory is right here in Chicago, so you're supporting a local business through and through. read more

That's the only good thing that came out of Cobblestone Remodeling was the great recommendation and leading us to Ronnie Quinones. We had Ronnie Q. as our designer for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. He is professional, knowledgeable, experienced and patient. He worked with us, took in our ideas, our visions, needs, wants and put his skills to work. His attention to detail, honesty, gave us the confidence, and made it easy to work with Builder's Cabinet. Even though we had some glitches, Ronnie went above and beyond the call of duty to make things right. He made sure we were happy, satisfied, and got what we paid for. Just had my complete kitchen remodel, and couldn't be happier with the cabinets from here. This is my third kitchen remodel, so I knew exactly what I was looking for and Builders Cabinets met all my expectations for the following reasons: 1. Price: I had estimates from 6 different places including big box stores, and based on the quality and selections, none of them could beat this place. 2. Design: The designer spent almost 2 hours in kitchen design with some very unique ideas as well as the knowledge of cabinet choices. I won't name my designer because he came a bit short in the service following through on the details during the process of my remodel. 3. Service: Danny was my "go to". His amazing positive attitude and service with every concern and need I had played a MAJOR factor in leaving this review. 4. Customization: I was able to order the cabinets in a various customized sizes necessary to the design of my kitchen I wanted. No other stores were able to offer this without a huge extra cost. A friend of mine got her kitchen cabinets at BCS. She had numerous quality problems with them. They eventually made good, but this made me nervous. When our designer took us to BCS, I was apprehensive given my friends problems. But I was told that hers was really a unique situation. As the cabinets were getting installed we started to notice quality issues - a cabinet that had a worn corner edge, etc.. The rep came out and looked at it (i wasn't there) and I trusted they would fix. As the installing progressed, it got worse (worn spots, dents). I ended up putting post-its on every issue...I stopped at about 50. The rep came back out and didn't have much to say. I was frustrated that I had to point out all of the issues after he had already been there once. I had to ask "is this the quality i should expect? didn't you see these issues when you were out here?" The cabinet fronts looked like they had about five years wear. He said the owner would have to come out and look at it and determine what they were going to do. About a week later my designer told me she had been contacted by BCS and that they would be replacing all my cabinet fronts. My contractor got stuck doing most of the replacements. He was great (wasn't with BCS) and pointed out many of the defects. Interestingly BCS tried to blame him for one of the defects, when it was clearly a manufacturing issue. Also, the BCS guys ended up installing some of the drawer fronts - they couldn't even get that right and installed them backwards. While the replacement fronts were better, they still aren't of the quality I would expect (we spent about $16k on the cabinets). And because they had to come from a different wood lot, some of the trim now has slight color variations. The final frustration, absolutely no follow-up from BCS to say "sorry for the problems, is everything to your satisfaction?" read more

Working with Sara was nothing shy of outstanding. She listened to our vision and dreams of what we wanted and was able to develop, design and advise us on cabinetry layouts and floor plans. She tweaked and modified our layouts multiple times until she knew we had exactly what we wanted. At times we did not know exactly what we wanted but Sara was able to decipher our conversations and ask questions to create our dream kitchen, gorgeous bathrooms, a phenomenal master closet, functional lockers for our 5 kids and beautiful built-ins for our family living spaces. I am a year late in writing this review. Did a major renovation of our kitchen last summer and I'm so glad we stumbled upon Builder's Cabinets. Rani Jain was a wizard with making sure all my particular needs were met. The kitchen looks like a million bucks, but didn't cost a million bucks. Now, all my heavy appliances are so easy to access because of the roll out shelves, all my beautiful dishes are displayed properly, and all my doors are still perfectly aligned. When I had a little trouble with my custom garbage pullout door, they sent a specialist to my home to realign it. I would highly recommend the team at Builder's Cabinet. read more

Nice looking material used, but poorly constructed. For what I paid for the cabinet I would expect the doors and drawers to line up. When I contacted the company about the glaringly obvious misalignment, I was given instructions on how I could align the doors and drawers myself or my contractor do it. My contractor said it was not part of the scope of his work, so I was left to do it myself. Not a really easy process, especially for the drawers. I did what I could, but the drawers are still way off until I pay the contractor extra. read more

We renovated our 2 flat into a single family home and worked with Logan at Builders Cabinet Supply. We have been in our house for over a year now and I am loving the cabinets and island. Looking back, I still have fond memories of working with Logan. He really took the time to make sure we picked the correct cabinets, came out to our location and measured precisely and was so easy and friendly to work with through the entire process. He even went the extra mile with looking up specs on our beverage fridge that we were installing between a cabinet and shelf and made sure the refrigerator had enough space for venting. Also took the time to make sure our cabinet lifts would fit our coffee pot by measuring our actual coffee pot.... things like that, which I can't say enough good words about! read more
