Fantastic! Great addition to Perrysburg offering some unique takes on hot (or not hot) chicken!

All of the food was amazing, but hands down the table favorite was honestly the whipped feta. It's what dreams are made of! It had a slightly spicy oil topper, and delicious crostini! The only note I would give, is that the bacon appetizer really needs to come with a steak knife for sharing. It was a little too hard to cut with just the butter knife. Steaks and sides are all prepared perfectly, the button mushrooms were a hit as well. I would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will return again if I'm back in the area.

Great service, good food, but not worth the price. When a meal costs this much, it should be a meal…read moreworth remembering, but the only dish we'll remember is the mashed potatoes. They did absolutely nothing wrong, but in the end, our mealnsits above average. The first thing is the food. The portions are not huge, but that's okay at an expensive place. My ribeye was cooked exactly medium rare and was a nice cut of meat. However, it was drowning in butter and was just too salty for the meat to shine through. A good steak, but not great and maybe not even very good. My wife's scallops were very good and came with a great corn relish underneath. The sides must be ordered separately. We got the mashed potatoes and those were absolutely excellent-- probably also too much butter, but that just makes potatoes better. We got the feta appetizer and that was good, but very thick in our mouths. My wife had the leftovers for lunch and found it better as it's own meal The service was simply great. They knew we wouldn't finish the feta and had it boxed and bagged with extra toast before we were done with our entrees. Nice, attentive, detailed. We both looked at the cocktails and wines and saw nothing that interested us. We're not big drinkers, but were surprised. Usually an expensive place has something for us. The tables are very large. We were on a date, but we felt too far to have an intimate conversation. My wife skipped a few topics because it felt too public to talk about them. I do not disagree with paying a lot for exceptional food. I came in expecting to drop $200 on dinner. I wanted to wine and dine my lovely wife. But Benchmark was not exceptional. It was above average. And when I'm trying to decide between 3 and 4 stars, feeling as though it's not worth the price makes me drop to 3. It would have been 4 stars at $100 or maybe $150.

I made a brunch reservation here a few weekends ago for some girlfriends and I. Went on a Saturday…read moreand brunch is only on Sunday, womp womp. We pivoted and all had a lovely meal. Our server was so terrific. All the food was delicious. I'd been craving French onion soup and decided to give it a try and it was sofa king good. Perfection! I also had a delicious turkey club paired with a kiwi smash. The space is open with high ceilings and a long bar. It started filling up shortly after we were seated so would recommend a reservation. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Toledo!

This is kind of a hard review for me. I REALLY wanted to love this place, but a few things went…read morekind of wrong, and the ambiance, although really interesting, was off. The drinks were good, but again, a hitch. Service too... So, two of us ordered the French dip sandwich. They were just OK at best. Really no flavor, the roll was kind of wrong and the jus was tasteless. I asked (several times) for some horseradish, and I would guess it's still on its way to the table... 2 folks ordered the fried walleye, and one said it was REALLY good and the other said it was really over cooked. 1 person ordered the burger and said it was great. The last person ordered the salmon and did like it. The standout sides were the brussels sprouts and the fries. Both are very, very good. No comments about the other sides. The person across the way ordered the bruleed sweet potatoes and they looked amazing. The ambiance. What a cool place inside. A cool mix of furnishings with some kitsch factor. Not in a bad way from aesthetics, but in practicality, a big miss. When we were taken to our table, we were presented with a 1950's style dinette and chairs. Again, really kitschy, but not at all fun to sit in. The place has a cool mix of all kinds of stuff, but the noise was deafening. We tried to talk to one another, but it was really hard. Just too much background noise from all the people in a concrete, brick and steel room. Too bad. The drinks... So, I took a chance and ordered my martini. I explained how I wanted it mixed, etc. and the bartender did a superb job! Hats off to him for making a great martini! The big issue was one of our guests wanted a Bloody Mary. The waitress explained that they have great Bloody Mary's as they make their own mix. After the drinks were ordered, the waitress came back to the table to let us know they were out of Bloody Mary mix. Mind you, this is 6:00 on a Saturday. That shouldn't happen. The service... All of the drinks were ordered at the same time, and they came out in a staggered fashion over a period of 15 minutes. Same thing with our dinners. Interestingly, the hold up with the entrees was the 2nd French Dip. I would guess if the guy making the sandwiches saw 2 of the same thing on the same ticket, he'd make them both at the same time. That second sandwich took at least 15 minutes to get to the table. We're all being polite and waiting for his meal to deliver so we can all eat at the same time. Cold fish, anyone? And I'd still like to know where my horseradish went. Oh, parking in the lot to the left of the building is stupid expensive. Park in the garage across the street and save $20 bucks. All in all, our check came to about $100.00 for 3 of us. That's without the tip. My meal was a solid 2 to 3-star event but factoring in the others' opinions and negating the Bloody Mary incident and service, I'll give it 4 stars. Pretty sure I'll go back, but probably not too soon.
