Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts
Keia C.

I gave the hubs an option of where he wanted to go for Father's Day and he said he'd always wanted to give this place a try. It wasn't too busy which was nice and unexpected. We were seated quickly although we were in the weirdest booth seat I've ever experienced. Our legs dangled like it was a high top table but in a booth. I would never want to be seated here again! After perusing the menu he decided to try the bacon jalapeño jam burger and I tried the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak burger. We also got the crispy glazed brussel sprouts and a wild child and IPA from the bar. Everything was delicious! Our server was nice and the food came out in a great amount of time. Although we weren't overwhelmed with the menu, I tried everything that stood out to me so unless I go back and eat the same thing, I'm not sure what else I'd try.

fresno fig burger with sweet potato fries

I came here for an end-of-the-year celebration after finally finishing grad school. The place was absolutely packed, and we had to wait about 40 minutes just to get a table. Honestly, I'm usually not one to wait that long for a meal, but the crowd might just be a testament to how popular this spot really is. The Build: For my celebratory meal, I ordered the Fresno Fig Burger. This one comes loaded with fig marmalade, melted goat cheese, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula, and a spicy porter mustard. I paired it with a side of sweet potato fries. The Flavor Profile: The wait became a distant memory once I bit into the burger. The combination of the sweet fig marmalade and the rich, melted goat cheese was absolutely amazing, they complemented each other perfectly. It's a unique flavor profile that totally hits the spot. The Verdict: The single downside to this place is the crowd and the long wait time. However, the food itself completely delivers. If you have the patience for the line, or can catch them at an off-peak hour, the Fresno Fig burger is well worth trying!

Their food was really good! Their Ahi stack was one of my favorite foods to order at Eureka!. There services was also really good, but we were there during the afternoon which is when we usually go. It was nicely lit and i enjoyed their water they provided us even though I usually don't enjoy restaurant water.

Quick review as it was my first time at Eureka and probably 6 or 7 years and today offered exceptional food for a burger spot but also offered top-tier service at Eureka! on Stockdale Highway! I'm pretty picky anyway and very picky about the type of ground beef I will eat so in this case I was of course hesitant on going but my daughter offered to pay so well you know, a free meal it's a free meal in most cases anyway , The burger I had at this place was pretty good not necessarily phenomenal but you can tell they were made with noticeably fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the fries are perfectly crisp and flavorful. Overall for free meal( my daughter paid for it) it was pretty dang good. I like the atmosphere in this place looks pretty chill as a bar and eatery and the outside patio is a really good looking area to eat and people watch. To top it off, Jerry provided outstanding customer service, taking over apparently for waitress who was too busy ignoring us in the first 2 minutes we were in there before he stepped up in the mostly empty section we were in, anyway back to Jerry--he was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made the entire dining experience almost absolutely seamless.

Very solid choice while on the road downstate. The Fresno fig burger was a highlight -- if you love goat cheese, get it!!! Perfect balance with the salty, crispy bacon. Their sweet potato fries are also well-seasoned and addictive. Great service and lots of options for everyone in our family.

We went on a Friday night for date night and both had a burger, appetizers, a beer, and upgraded to a salad as our side. All that to say our bill was about $80 even with happy hour deals on the apps, beer, and 1 burger. So more than we were expecting. Service was good and attentive, atmosphere is always fun, slightly sporty, and relaxing with low lighting. The Fresno fig burger was sweet and savory like I remember and was really big and filling, I couldn't finish all of it. Overall We had a good time, just a little more pricey then we anticipated

Monday night dinner + happy hour was amazing! Service was great, and the weather was nice enough to sit at the outdoor patio. I ordered the Cobb salad and strawberry lychee martini -- and both were delicious. The portion was also well worth it. Would come back again to try their sandwiches and burgers!

We've been into Eureka! a few times because we usually end up hungry at the shopping center. The menu is very well balanced for many different tastes so I can always find something new to try with my dietary restrictions lol I'm sensitive and menu fear is real! The portions are good sized and I always leave full and satisfied. We have sat at the bar and the patio - both are really good options and the staff is all super nice and welcoming. We're not regulars, but they make us feel like we are and that will keep us coming back. I also recommend the spa day margarita because OMG it's so good and it's on the Hoppy Hour menu!

I had a Wonderful experience here! Food was top tier and everything came out hot and tasted so great. my party of 4 got seated quickly and was welcomed and served pretty fast. The atmosphere is nice and there's plenty of tvs to watch a game and enjoy the drinks and food

So fresh and clear. Love filtered ice.

What a fun experience- I'm on town from out of state and of course your weather is always top conversation. We still accepted the dining in the patios it was wonderful with the breeze coming through and we were visited by my first experience of a road runner- I only have memories of the cartoon. Carmen was our server and she went over and beyond including offering us to change tables when another friend should up. I had just been released from the hospital ( emergency) if 4 days and she was able to get me a deconstructed poke bowl at my request. My daughter had the nachos which were delicious also. Definitely would recommend for fresh food and professional service. Great ambience!!

Open faced Eureka American burger with no bun on a bed of lettuce

My fiance and I don't frequent this restaurant often but I think that's going to change! We had a great Monday night dinner here with some family! The fried Mac and cheese balls are still a crowd favorite but we've discovered the fried pickles are a top contender as well! They are very crispy and not overly breaded. Our waitress was very attentive despite the restaurant being extremely crowded. We got a wild child pitcher and it was perfect for 3 to share throughout the evening. The cocktail was very fresh and bright not overly sweet. I love how the salted rim brings a kick to each sip! My favorite meal here is the American burger with no bun they can serve any burger this was over a bed of arugula or romaine. You really can't go wrong with any of their sides but right now I'm really liking the sweet potato fries! Next time I'm looking forward to trying something from the dessert menu!

How are the bone marrow burgers here? Any suggestions on what the most popular/best tasting burgers are?

The restaurant is very clean and decorated pretty well to the theme with lots of large tvs for watching the games no matter where you get seated. There is a decent patio as well. Both of my visits were weekdays so business was pretty slow on the restaurant side but the bar had people. Its a full bar. Service is pretty on top of things and I have felt positive about that both visits with different workers serving us. One thing that initially surprised us was the menu is mostly Mexican food. It wasn't a bad thing, in fact, the Mexican dishes are the best ones on the menu! It was just not really what we expected from the decor and descriptions the first visit. We really enjoyed everything both visits. Great rice and beans consistently. The seasoning is good. Not a big fan of the chips though. If you want a decent bite to eat or a drink while watching the game, this is a really great option!

I just can't say enough about how great the service is and the food is delectable!…read more Brian was our amazing server today for a birthday lunch celebration. We had a bottle of Caymus Cabernet. It was plummy and rich. One of my favorite wines. We had a trio of appetizers that included hummus, eggplant dip and a tahini dip served with toasted pita. I ordered the scrumptious bone marrow which was accompanied by toasted French bread. I was especially impressed with Brian's table side charring to finish and crisp the marrow. My companions had an order of the shrimp & scallop skewers, and the beef skewers. Those dishes both came with two sides. The crispy fries were exquisite, the asparagus was cooked to perfection. This one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. Fine dining at its best. They have a $25 wine tasting with appetizers about once a month which I'm looking forward to attending soon. If you haven't been yet you are missing a wonderful dining experience right here in Bakersfield!

First, our waitress was absolutely lovely--kind, attentive, and professional. She seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a good experience, and frankly, she deserves to feel valued and supported where she works. During our visit, we overheard employees discussing what sounded like ongoing concerns about how management treats the staff. I can only speak to what we personally witnessed, but it was uncomfortable to hear. Our bigger concern came when the manager approached our table and asked how we enjoyed our meal. Since he asked, we answered honestly. He appeared sympathetic and offered to refund the steak meal. We appreciated the gesture and left believing the issue had been resolved. Three days later, there is still no refund. That leaves us wondering what happened. Was the offer simply made to appease us in the moment? Was there a failure to follow through? Or did he simply forget? Whatever the explanation, when a manager personally tells a customer he is going to correct a problem, I expect him to keep his word--or at minimum communicate if there is a delay. A nice suit and a polished restaurant create a good first impression, but hospitality ultimately comes down to how you treat people--both your customers and your employees. I genuinely hope our waitress finds herself working in an environment where she feels appreciated. As for us, I don't think we'll be back. Unfortunately, what could have been just a disappointing steak became a disappointing experience. Now, even the food tastes bitter.

A Delicious Thank You to Teachers!…read more What an incredibly thoughtful way to give back to the community! One of our teachers at school entered a drawing for a free catered lunch from Locale Farm to Table, and we were so lucky to win! The drawing was the owner Heather's way of giving back and showing her appreciation for teachers. She was especially touched by our teacher's story, which made the win feel even more meaningful. Many of us who work at the school already dine at Locale and absolutely love the food, so we knew we were in for a treat. Heather brought some of their most popular dishes, including a hot honey goat cheese spread with Pyrenees bread, roasted butternut squash and Brussels sprouts, a fresh garden salad, and a chocolate and strawberry pastry for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! What really stood out, though, was how much thought Heather put into making sure everyone could enjoy the meal. She heard that we had some vegetarians among us and went above and beyond by preparing additional dishes without bacon so everyone had plenty to eat. That extra touch meant so much and really showed how genuinely caring and thoughtful she is. Having this incredible meal right before the first day of school was such a special treat. Teachers and school staff work incredibly hard, and feeling appreciated in such a generous way was truly wonderful. Thank you, Heather, for your generosity, kindness, and for supporting our school community! We are so grateful, and, of course, already looking forward to our next visit to Locale!
