Our first time at an Eureka! and won't be our last. This place was fantastic! We've been driving through Bakersfield from 58 to 99 north for literally decades. We've tried everything we could see from the freeway over that time and never found anything good. We had given up on eating in Bakersfield, other than when Moo Creamery is open. A Yelp search while driving from Paso yielded this option so we decided to try it. We finally found good options and great place to eat. We'll probably try some of the other options in and around this center but it will be tough to not go back to Eureka! every time. The burgers were very, very good and the beer and alcohol selection were top notch. Too bad I had to drive. Our server was the best we've had in years, helpful, casual, fun. I tried Eureka using DoorDash a second time and had a positive experience this time. I had the Steak Frites because my partner and her son gave the dish high marks last time. The dish was very good. The steak was cooked medium per my request. The chimichurri sauce was also very good. I ordered the mushrooms which came on top of the steak. The mushrooms were very small and very thin, and I didn't get much of them. So, the next time, no mushrooms for me. We also had the chicken lettuce wraps which was delicious. It is chicken, cashews, carrots, Korean gochujang sauce, and green onions in lettuce. I could have this as a main meal! This time Eureka was a positive experience. read more

Stopped in for lunch while doing errands- we were seated quickly and the host was friendly. Our server greeted us almost immediately and was very up beat. She made some recommendations for drinks, and we place our order. The drinks arrived after just a few moments- we had a beer and the peach sangria. Beer was light and refreshing and the sangria was interesting- my only negative was there was a weird smell to the sangria (I don't know if it was the flowers/mint in the drink, or the peach? I don't know but something felt off). We ordered the Eureka burger, added avocado, with fries and a Cesar salad. Salad was fresh and the croutons were perfectly crunch. My fiance and I don't frequent this restaurant often but I think that's going to change! We had a great Monday night dinner here with some family! The fried Mac and cheese balls are still a crowd favorite but we've discovered the fried pickles are a top contender as well! They are very crispy and not overly breaded. Our waitress was very attentive despite the restaurant being extremely crowded. We got a wild child pitcher and it was perfect for 3 to share throughout the evening. The cocktail was very fresh and bright not overly sweet. I love how the salted rim brings a kick to each sip! My favorite meal here is the American burger with no bun they can serve any burger this was over a bed of arugula or romaine. We got a gift card for Eureka from our family so we went to eat there today. We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly employee. My husband ordered an American burger and a lettuce wrapped double smash burger with fries and Brussels sprouts and we didn't have to wait long. The Brussels sprouts are so so good I would go there just to eat them alone. Both burgers were hot and delicious and so were the fries. The highlight of the meal was our server Rudy. Been here before but my first time providing a review. My visit was on 06/23/25, at approximately 1200 hours. I was immediately seated in the bar area. Drink order was taken fairly quickly. I ordered the Lavender Iced Tea, in a disposable cup. The tea was a nice lavender flavor, however, the tea was more like a very tart lavender lemonade. I was not expecting a lemon flavor as the menu description did not note lemon juice as an ingredient. I asked for a bit of simple syrup to sweeten it a bit. I ordered the Fresno Fig, cooked medium, as my main entree. The burger consisted of fig marmalade / melted goat cheese / bacon / tomato / red onion / arugula / spicy porter mustard. Both buns had some fig marmalade, the goat cheese was slightly tangy and "goaty", which I loved. The arugula was fresh and strip of bacon was crisp. The meat patty was generous. All flavors complimented each other, to make a great tasting burger another win. Fries were good, but nothing outstanding; average. Food was at the right temperature and prompt. This place was great! It was my first time here, and I had a fantastic experience with friends and family. I ordered the double smash burger with truffle cheese fries and an iced tea, all of which were packed with flavor and cooked just right. My wife and kid went with the nachos and mac n' cheese, and they really enjoyed their meals too. We finished off with a cheesecake, which honestly wasn't my favorite, it was priced higher than expected and didn't quite deliver on flavor or texture. Recently stopped by with my wife for dinner on a Friday night and this place was PACKED. We got our names on the waiting listed and waited about 25 min for a table to open. Honestly our food was worth the wait. This time, I went with the Barbecue Bacon Burger and added lettuce to the burger. So happy that I did because it elevated the burger and gave it a fresh element but the burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection! Barbecue sauce is made out of beer and it is amazing. It was late, we were hungry and my wife and daughter gave me two options: Eureka or Frugatti's. Pasta sounded good to me, we dine at local places more than we do chains, so I chose Frugatti's even though service has been subpar the last few visits. It was late, shouldn't be too bad, right? I was wrong, we left there and went straight to Eureka. Thankfully it was nearby, as were hungry. We got there, minimal wait, hostess sat us and within a minute, we were greeted by our server and he took our drink order while we decided what we wanted to eat. He came back with our alcoholic beverages and gave us a little more time to decide on what we wanted to eat. The drinks were excellent as always. One of the best places to go in town for drinks. We finally decided what we wanted to eat, placed our order and our food was out in a reasonable amount of time. Food was cooked to perfection and the food was excellent, as always. We came in on Tuesday & sat outside with our dogs and the hostess got the dogs water which was so sweet and appreciated. We had a little drink mishap happen and was accidentally served alcohol. Our server was amazing and so sweet he felt so bad about the bar mixing up my drink and he went above and beyond to help try to make things up. Nicholas is a prime example of a great caring server. He not only made things as right as he could but he just had amazing customer service skills in general. We didn't like where we were sat (next to patio door) and they we very kind in moving us! This was my first time back since right around pandemic time. I had stopped going when I found out I couldn't eat gluten, and at the time they did not have gluten free buns. I am not a fan of lettuce wraps. But I recently saw somewhere that they have GF buns now, so I went back as fast as I could! I was not disappointed. Our server was so nice and helpful, and knowledgeable about food allergies. And what she didn't know about, she went and got the answers.
