I think I'd have to try this place out once more to really give it a solid review. We came in for a quick breakfast and were seated immediately, that was nice. We asked to sit on the patio because it was a beautiful morning, but we waited for a good 12 minutes before the server came back out to take our orders. I don't really care for places that charge items separately (eggs -$2, sausage - $4, etc). That seems a bit scammy, like $14 bucks for 3 chocolate chip pancakes alone!? They better be exceptional pancakes! knew from photos that portions would be large, so we ended up getting chocolate chip pancakes, 2 eggs and sausage to share. We also ordered ice coffees - both the hazelnut and vanilla. The food was good. The coffee was pretty basic, but the presentation for both were pretty. While for the most part the food was good, one member of our party ordered a three egg breakfast, and one of the three eggs she received appeared...spoiled. The yolk was pasty/pus-like and very pale. The server took it back to the kitchen at our request and returned with the plate to tell us "some of our eggs are just like that." No offer to replace it or otherwise make it right. If I cracked an egg that looked like that in my kitchen it would go in my compost bin. Even if it was safe (and I wouldn't chance it) it was completely unappetizing. read more

Our first time at the Mimosa Cafe off Calloway (in the NW Lengthwise restaurant parking lot). It's obviously a popular place as the line was out the door, but don't be intimidated, the wait goes fast. Finally a restaurant that knows how to make great Chili Verde!!!! It's been a while since we have visited Mimosa's Cafe. The service is awesome. Super friendly and very attentive. The chili verde omelette was outstanding. The spice level was perfect. The pork was super tender and packed full of flavor. The spice in the verde was perfect. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday around ~10:30 am, and the place was pretty packed! Luckily we were able to snag a table for two inside, but there is also outdoor seating (who wants to sit outside in this heat though!). For as busy as it was, the service was not terrible, it's pretty easy to flag a server down & they are quick to get you what you need! We were pretty intrigued by all the different flavors you could get for mimosas & although the presentation is really pretty, I didn't really feel like it did anything for the mimosa taste wise... which honestly should have been a bit expected, but still a little disappointing. The Blackstone Benedict was just okay, honestly nothing too special, but they did poach the eggs perfectly & the chocolate chip pancakes were a pretty good size, it looks like they individually place each chocolate chip cookie on top which is cute-- also really liked the whipped butter! I don't think that there's anything on the menu that makes this place jump out from any other breakfast place, but I would say that the portions are good for the price! We went March 3rd and decided since it was a nice morning that day, we'd sit outside. Our waitress was awesome and patient with us as we were a good size party. We ordered mimosas and food. Our drinks came quickly, however.. we waited for over an hour on food! The waitress was apologetic and we were told the kitchen was backed up. We haven't went back. Don't know if we'll be back. I was really excited to try this place and hoping to love it. Unfortunately, we found the food nearly inedible. For a place that has a huge selection of eggs Benedict you would think they would do them well. I ordered the veggie Benedict, my daughter the chili verde and then we shared. The eggs were absolutely horrible quality. I have never seen yolks that pale. The hollandaise was disgusting. Oddly sweet and just disgusting. We each took one bite and couldn't continue. Neither of us said anything because we were having a special mom/daughter day and didn't want to ruin it for the other. The chili verde sauce was good and the red potatoes were ok. However, we both left more than half our food on our plates because we just couldn't eat. The server was incredibly sweet but either overworked or very inexperienced. Another woman was wiping down adjacent tables with a very strong beach solution. While I appreciate knowing it was disinfected, the smell while trying to eat was off putting. Hubby and I tried this place out for the first time today. He ordered the chicken and waffles but added scrambled eggs and bacon. I had the chile verde omelette with roasted red potatoes. My food was so good! I was really impressed with the flavor of the chile verde. It was actually a bit spicy. I didn't try the chicken but I did try a piece of the waffle and oh my, the butter on the waffle was incredible. It wasn't your average tasting butter, it was more of a sweet cream butter. My last review was only 3 stars. My sister and I have went back 3 more times. We normally go on a Monday. Less busy but food was still GREAT! We have sat in the same section all but once. . The wings are marinated with an outstanding sauce that has the perfect amount of spicy and the wings had plenty of chicken. If you like wings you need to come here immediately! I was quite taken aback by how rude our waitress became by relentlessly (every 2 minutes) coming to our table to ask us if we were done while I'm trying to eat my food as fast as I can at this point. Visited this cute spot for the first time yesterday for lunch with the hubby. We both tried the prime dip and fries, and both were really tasty. The dip didn't skimp on the sliced prime beef, the cheese was gooey and melted, and the ciabatta bread was nice and soft without falling apart. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a good amount of seasoned salt. I can definitely recommend this dish. The service quick and friendly. I found this gem early. Watch out New Vintage Grill, you have some competition. The restaurant is open and has great light. The food was delicious. I came back to give them another try to pop my besties Mimosa Cafe cherry for her birthday. Our waitress was a nice, peppy young lady. As I usually do, I asked her which entree was a better seller between the two I was deciding between...the Mimosa Melt or the Prime Rib Melt. She said that people usually order from the first page (breakfast), but that isn't what I had a cankering for at 1 in the afternoon, so I decided to go off the cuff and get the Mimosa Melt because I had a taste for some rye bread. Maybe I was feeling nostalgic and reminiscing about the homemade marbled rye bread that Heidi's use to churn out daily in this very same building, but that is definitely not the bread that I was served. This was the saddest patty melt I've ever seen. The meat was pretty much non existent, the American cheese slice was barely melted, and the bread was over toasted. The bestie got the Cobb salad with the bacon and bleu cheese on the side and said it was nothing to write home about. The lettuce looked slightly wilted and the salad just wasn't anything special. The raspberry vinaigrette was delicious though! The last time I was here, my favorite mimosa was the Bloody Mary, this time it was the pina colada! The coconut rim was absolutely scrumptious! The besties favorite mimosa was the mango with the Tajin rim. The more I come here the more I realize that I may just have to give up on the food altogether and stick to the mimosas. read more

I went to mimosa cafe during my lunch break recently. Noticed the new spot in town and wanted to give it a shot. I tried the prime rib sandwich and the Buffalo wings, both were amazing in flavor. The prime rib was melt in your mouth and came with a nice portion of fries. The sandwich can be shared depending on your appetite. The Buffalo wings were the star of the show here. Some of the most flavorful and full wings I have seen. The breading was amazing and the actual chicken was thick and cooked perfectly. Saw this place on yelp under hot and new restaurants.... Had to check it out for brunch. Located in the hedi's deli old building next to lengthwise pub off callaway. Very clean restaurant and fast and friendly service. A good variety of mimosas to choose from. I chose the sunset mimosa ... very good. Pretty presentation too. The blueberry cakes were delicious and came with a side of warm blueberry syrup and butter. The pancakes were fluffy and filled with blueberry topping. Warm right off the griddle. You can add a side of eggs and bacon or sausage for an extra $4. My boyfriend ordered the trio meats omelet.... Said it was good.... It was filled with a good amount of meats ; which was a perfect amount. The potatoes were good. Service was great; our server Stephanie was great. Always checked on us and didn't make us feel rushed.
